Grace Kelley survives a savage assault while in nursing school. She throws herself into being the best possible nurse in the surgical arena as she travels around the U.S. with her four-legged companion, Cali.
Jared Murphy is a firefighter that specializes in mountain rescue. Like his father and brothers, he lives for his job and his family because a previous relationship taught him that he can't trust a woman to want the same things he does.
A chance encounter on a deserted road brings these two lost souls together with an intensity that leaves them both breathless. No one says that love has a timeline and it certainly didn't follow any rules for these two.

For mature audiences only. MFF scenes and other naughtiness. 18 years of age or older.

I'm an almost 40 year old nurse with an extreme addiction to Alpha Males that fall in love with the heroine. I decided to write my own book and sat with my phone for hours on end until I had way too many words for such a small screen. I published my first book September 2014 and immediately started writing book 2. Now I can't go anywhere without my characters speaking to me. I'm married to my very own Alpha Man and we have 2 wonderful fur-babies, a 15 year old orange tabby cat and a 7 year old pitbull. My real job allows me the time to sit with my laptop.

This is a debut novel and for this amount of storyline to be presented by a first time author and the manner it was presented is AMAZING!

You are thrown immediately into a sensitive and a possible trigger situation with the main character Grace. Through that tragedy you will connect and immediately sympathize for her and if that wasn't bad enough the cards soon after seem to not be in her favor (I won't say what but I will say that if that was me some one would have gotten a beat down).

My only issue is that with the severity of Grace's savage attack that her reactions through out the book should have been a bit more cautious. There is no doubt it my mind that woman deserved more in life, but I found an immediate and flirtatious reaction to a 20 minute encounter with a hot stranger who helps her when she breaks down odd. I know that there was mention of her counseling before hand, but she almost has a nonchalant attitude towards what happened to her. I would have imagined that she would have some sort of PTSD but rarely does her emotions show about that night. I am not knocking her strength but I think she would have been more relatable if she was slightly damaged from that situation.

Jared is amazingly supportive. There is an immediate attraction to him not only by Grace but to the reader as well *WINK*. The character dynamics are addicting and hilarious. From continuous rambling, jokes and brotherly embarrassment there is no escaping feeling connected to Jared's family. It's that type of family everyone wishes for. Supportive, reliable and full of love!

Speaking of love...let's talk about the love in the bedroom...or on the patio....or the kitchen counter *WINK* There is one scene that is one of the most erotic scenes I have ever read. I bookmarked it! And I do hope that the characters involved in that scene do get a story of their own. I would love to read more about their relationship and see how their story would play out, especially Jared's younger brother!

The ending was perfect for the Grace and Jared!

If you are looking for a new book with slight drama, emotion, steamy scenes, and an immediate love connection that is almost on the "lovey dovey" side of romance then this is the book for you!

*I was given a copy of this book for an honest review*

This is first book I've had the pleasure of reading by this author and I can honestly say this book captured my attention from the very first page.

Grace hasn't had the perfect life, while she is putting herself threw nursing school, dealing with her parents disapproval of her choice of work, having a horrible accident happen and being hurt by the most important people in her life she is still working on staying strong and keeping her head held high.

Jared is very close to his family and ever since he was little becoming a firefighter and saving peoples lives is what he wanted. He couldn't ask for anything more he was about to graduate and ask the girl he thought was going to be the one to marry him but being hurt was the last thing he ever thought would happen.

When Grace and Jared meet their connection is undeniable. The authors words have you feeling like you are right there with the characters. It was very well written.

Angel Eyes is a very emotional read, you'll laugh, you'll cry, get angry and want to throw your kindle. In this story you will read about heartache, loss, betrayal, mistakes, regret, friendship and true love.

This is a absolute must read book!!!! Highly recommend!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

First book in the series with a first time author. Loved the idea behind the book. Operating room nurse that travels with her loving pitbull, Cali. A little roadside trouble and she finds herself in the company of a sexy firefighter. Grace had been assaulted and has a cranky ass mother. Jared has a great family and a gorgeous face. Their love is intense and immediate and beautiful. Jared and Grace find themselves in a difficult situation that makes finding out good news all the more hard for Grace. It's a roller coaster ride with some hot sex and funny conversations. Can't wait for book 2.

Angel Eyes is a sweet and endearing story about a woman who finds love, not just in a man but in a family. Grace, who grew up in a home with selfish, unloving, and self involved parents, suffers a vicious attack only to be told she will be unwanted by a man by her own mother. Luckily she has her sister, who is her support and helps her to over come her attack. Years pass and now a traveling nurse, Grace has run in with a sexy fireman named, Jared. Things heat up quickly between these two and they fall in love fast. Conflicts arise but they are adults and work through them as such. This is a wonderful light read that is full of sweet love of a family and a new relationship.

The Review:

This book started out with a tragic event that shaped the life of the heroine. Grace Kelly (yes, named after that movie star) is confronted by some truly terrible things. After being assaulted, she finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her roommate/best friend. Really minor spoiler there, because that doesn't have all that much to do with the rest of the book. After that happened, though, she becomes determined to become a great nurse, and takes a job traveling around the world to help out at various hospitals around the country.

Jared never thought that he would find a woman to love after his horrible experience in high school. Along with his twin brother, Jake, he goes through life living the typical bachelor lifestyle. Meeting and hooking up with women, but never experiencing anything more.

One night, as Grace is on her way to her next pit stop, her car breaks down. Stranded on the side of the road, she's not sure what she will do. Luckily for her, along comes a sexy stranger to her rescue. And not just any stranger. A tall, sexy fireman. This encounter is just the beginning of their lusty story though.

Almost immediately, the two connect and decide that they have met their soul mate. And so begins their relationship. They meet and fall in love rather quickly, as they believe that there is no true time line on love. Grace meets and becomes a part of Jared's family. One that she cares for more than her own, aside from her sister Audrey. She has never felt so accepted and loved as she does with this family. With their blessings, Grace and Jared embark on their happily ever after. With some surprises on the way. Things they never thought possible for themselves.

Okay, time for my thoughts on this story. If you love books that are sugary sweet, then this book is for you. You will fall in love with these characters and their journey to happiness. Who doesn't wish that life and love could be like it is for these two? However, if you like a book with some drama, and a love story where the two really have to fight to be together, and overcome enormous challenges, this book is not for you. It is a very simple love story with very little conflict, and the conflict that does occur is pretty much fixed in the next chapter. Most of the book seemed like a flow of conscious thought from the characters, rather than a formatted dialogue that you expect to see in a book. I felt like I was being "told" the story, rather than experiencing it for myself.

I also think that there was just too much sex here. If the two characters weren't having sex themselves, they were thinking or talking about it. Yes, we all love us some sexy times, but there needs to be a good balance between sex scenes and story line/dialogue. I also didn't really find the whole menage thing to be very relevant to the story, and found it to be sort of odd in this type of story setting. I think that if this story becomes a series, then it might be more appropriate for this scene, but even still, I think that it could have been done without it.

Reading the premise for this book is sounded very interesting, and I guess I was expecting a different type of story. Something where the heroine is clearly affected by what happened to her. This story doesn't really address the assault in very much detail, or really get in to how that type of event would impact a person. It is mentioned, but it's sort of glossed over. As is much of the bad things that occur. I just didn't find this story to be very believable. The two meet and fall in love in an instant, essentially, and they decide that they want to spend happily ever after together almost right away. There just really weren't any challenges or scenarios that captured my attention enough to have an impact on me as the reader. (Side note: there was also an overabundance of the whole "baby" and "baby girl" nickname. I am seeing this in more and more stories, and I think it is definitely being overdone).

I really feel for people who decide to pursue their dreams of writing, and I do give a lot of leeway on editing issues with a debut novel. I think that there will be many people who like this story because it is simple, and we all can use some simple in our lives. Things that don't have to be so complicated. So for that I give props to the author for putting her work out there. I know that it is not an easy thing to do. I also really liked that she attempted a dual POV story, because I really enjoy them, and they can be difficult to write. The author did a great job of capturing both perspectives without overlapping scenes. This is a big accomplishment. I think her writing can only continue to improve as she progresses as a writer.

Overall, for me, and what I enjoy reading, I don't think this is a book I can recommend. I just felt that it needed some more challenges. Just something more. I don't believe that you can fall in love at first sight or know that someone is meant to be with you forever in only a week's time. I believe that is called lust, not love, and that you need time to get to know one another and build a true friendship in order to have a lasting romantic connection.

No spoilers from me, but this book had me enthralled from the very beginning. When these two characters first meet it is an instant attraction. Grace’s traumatic past and Jarrod’s disillusionment with a past love, is overcome with friendship, trust and love. If you enjoy a sweet love story about meeting your soul mate, then this is a definite read for you.
This is the first book I have read from this author, and it will definitely not be the last.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review..

I really enjoyed the book, but I did feel like it was rushed and hard to read. The sentences kind of read like huge paragraphs because SO much information was presented at once. The story itself was a bit far-fetched, but overall it was a pretty good read.
