Fortune: Book One

Rate this book
Lincoln Stone's problems start with a myterious man named Fortune Black.

He should never have met Fortune - beloved pastors don't hang out with traveling carnival fortunetellers, and Lincoln is no exception. After all, he has to protect his reputation, his flock, and his quiet life in his small Pennsylvania town. He wants nothing to do with the exotic, pale-eyed scam artist.

Then the dreams come. Delicious, forbidden fantasies that leave Lincoln weak and trembling with desires that he can't fight, and he wonders if their souls have been somehow bound together. Is is magic? A spell? Is it possible that Fortune is the real thing, and not just the huckster that Lincoln dismissed so casually? Is it possible that their lives are entwined, and that Fortune is the one man who can set Lincoln free of his private demons?

Lincoln Stone doesn't know, but he's determined to find Fortune and learn his secrets.

A dark and magical novel that explores fate, forbidden love, and the pull of a destiny we can't resist.

hate it when it says "Part 1", "book 1", "trilogy" or "series" and it ends with a cliffhanger, more questions to ask than have been answered, usually slow in the beginning because characters have to be introduced... Now this one has potential with either a paranormal or a scientific explanation but it left me hanging. No sex but in dreams but a touch of romance at the end.
