कुनै कथा बेजोड छन्, कुनै चै बेतुकका छन्! कैले नगरकोटी जस्तो लेख्न सक्ने कोइ माइका लाल छैनन झै लाउने, फेरी कैले चै नगरकोटी जस्तो झुर लेख्ने कोइ छैनन झै लाग्छ! 'नोज्टालजिया', अतितका कुरालाई फिक्सनको स्वरुप दिने डिजाइनर नगरकोटीको यो नै उच्च्तम विशेषता होला ।

While his imaginative prowess sees no bounds, the end product (for me) somewhat seem to lack a definitive resonance. Its my second Nagarkoti's book and its the same feeling.
Its a fun read often but I can't exactly derive a meaning or some sort of coherence from all his absurd and magic-realism foreplay.
हुन्छ नि पढ्दा सम्म ठिक लाग्ने कुराहरु किताब बन्द गरेछि सबै मिसिएको जस्तो लाग्ने ..कुन छेउ कुन टुप्पा भनेर छुत्तौना गारो हुनेगरि (व्हात नोनसेंसे )

If you want to know what to read, read this book and you will find many references. You too get to know abridged life of Nagarkoti. I wonder what are left to be told that 'Docha' was written.

कुमार नगरकोटीका श्रीजना मुलधारका साहित्य भन्दा फरक हुन्छन् । उनको सोच्ने शैली र सोचलाई प्रस्तुत गर्ने शैली भिन्न छ । त्यहीं भिन्नताले नै उनका पुस्तकहरु विशेष छन् ।

"अक्षरगन्ज" पहिलेका "मोक्षान्त: काठ्मान्डु फिभर" र "फोसिल" जस्तो पूर्ण भिन्न स्वादको भने छैन । केहि कथाहरु सशक्त छन् भने केहि अलि फिक्का नै छन् । समग्रमा पुस्तक एक पटक पढ्दा फरक पर्दैन ।

You have got to be the fan of Kumar Nagarkoti to like his books. I enjoyed the biographical story sprinkled with the fiction he weaves.
