The Blood of Angels

Sam has an unusual interest in humans, and considering she's a fairy of fate whose profession it is to determine their futures, it's no wonder! But it isn't just karma she's curious about. Sam has what her fairy-pal, Alex, thinks is an inordinate and rather wanton interest in certain biological aspects of human behavior--most notably, s-e-x!

When Sam's job leads her into the path of a handsome man who rocks her world, Sam's interest becomes obsession. Alex reminds her fairies get one Christmas wish. Will Sam consider using hers to become human just to experience one night of bliss?

But things aren't always what they seem. Zeph says he isn't like most... humans... and when Sam discovers who, and what, he really is, she's forced to make a choice that will transform her existence. Forever.

I enjoyed this book. It was different.
Sam and Alex were fairies of fate and they were out and about helping humans and the futures but Sam was always curious when it came to the human behavior especially the sex part. Then she comes across Zeph and things change. Zeph isn't like other humans. He can see the fairies and Sam becomes very fascinated with him because he makes her feel things and all she wants to do is be with him and then Alex suggest that she makes a Christmas wish and become human so that she can experience all the things that she is so interested in. Well you'll have to read the book to see what happens.

This book was the first book I have read about the fey and it won't be my last-I loved this book by Selena Kitt! This book opened up a different world to me, and I really enjoyed it!

Sam is a fairy who works for the maker- a presence that is always within her telling her what to do to change the course of the life of the humans she is in charge of. She has never known anything else. Alex, who also is fey, is her friend, and they quite often see each other when they are altering the course of others or merely looking after them. Sam is very interested in humans and what they do, particularly when they are having sex. Alex thinks that she is too interested! Quite often she watches the humans having sex, but they have no idea because she is not seen by them.

One day she is in a childrens day care center and she is watching the children and she notices the instructor, and he can see her! He picks her up off of his desk and takes her with him when he leaves and then they have a conversation, she asks him how he can see her and he replies that he is not "like humans". She is really surprised by this but then she has to leave as her maker is calling her elsewhere. Sam keeps dwelling on this man, named Zeph, for days

Alex tells her she has her one wish a year coming and that maybe she should wish to be human for one day! It is highly unlikely her wish will be granted but when she goes before the fey board surprisingly they do let her have her wish. Alex tells her to enjoy his time, he is going to Australia! Before she knows what hits her, she wakes up in Zeph's house on his couch where he found her when he got home.

What follows is really is what happens between them as they attempt to make a day last a lifetime, and Sam doesn't want to leave. After certain things happen with Zeph and a few others that she witnesses, he tells her what he is and what would happen if he turned her! What happened with Zeph is explained as well as he was not always what he is now.

Do yourself a favor and read this book it is awesome, but I can't say anything else without giving the whole plot away, and I guess the question I will leave you with to spark your interest is-Has Sam fallen for Zeph in such a small amount of time? Does Zeph have feelings for her? What will happen if Sam decided to stay in Zeph's world?

Like I said I really enjoyed this book and hope there is more of these stories!I give the author 5***** stars for a well written book, a book that held my attention and I could not put it down until I finished it, and also because what she has written is very original- it is a different take on the usual paranormal read!

Of late I have found myself engaged in reading quite a range of works whose principal elements fall into categories that I have to admit would not have even been considered in the past. The Blood of Angels is just the sort of book I am talking about! Fairies and vampires and angels ... "Nope! I don’t think so! Not my thing!" would have certainly been my answer if this wasn’t a book written by Selena Kitt! I have long been a fan of Ms. Kitt’s work and as she has never steered me wrong to date, I gave it a go! I am so glad I did! I found myself pleasantly surprised at how the fairy/vampire/angel aspects played into the story, but it was the main character of Sam that ultimately sold it for me! I so enjoyed experiencing things from her perspective and I thought it delightful to journey with her as she savored the so many wonderful things she had never experienced, all for the first time! May we all be so lucky when thinking back with her innocent perspective and rediscover things anew the next time we bite into a slice of cheese, press a strawberry to our lips or feel the gentle caress of a captivating lover!

For the specifics of the story, Sam is a tiny gender-neutral fairy whose job it is to guide humans to fulfilling tasks that have been laid out for them by the Maker. She is one of the rare fairies that takes a particular interest in the affairs of humans and is quite intrigued by one specific act in which humans engage...sex! Well once a year, at Christmas, all fairies are granted one Christmas wish. While most ask for simply a little vacation time, Sam takes the plunge and asks to be human for a day. To her surprise, her wish is granted and she awakens as a nubile young woman ready to take on the world of humans...once she finds some clothes!

Fortunately for Sam, she awakens in the presence of Zeph, the only person in her existence to actually have the capacity to see her. How is that possible? Fairies are invisible to humans! Simple! Because he is a vampire! Now at this point is may sound like the story is beginning to slip into the realm of "out there" and well maybe it is, but that does not matter because the end result of Sam's journey into humanity is steamy and erotic making one wonder "Just what would I do if I had only a day to be human?" All-in-all a great read! I highly recommend it!

A delight from start to finish.

This is a wonderful love story...with a difference...the heroine, Sam, is an angel and the hero, Zeph, isn't quite human.

Add in Alex, who I'd classify as mischievous, and the sparks start to fly.

I easily identified with the characters as their descriptions really made them come to life.

Selena Kitt writes with a light touch so nothing is overstated and I
appreciated the touches of humour throughout the story.

As in all good love stories, there is tension and problems arise.....and yes, I cried.

I received an ARC of this story from the author in return for an honest review.

OH SO HEAVENLY!!!! 5+ stars

I LOVED this story when it was in the Crave box set but Selena extended the story a bit before releasing it on its own and it is now even better than before! And that is saying a LOT because it was one of my favorite stories in the Crave set. I thought that this was a very magical and utterly, truly, madly, deeply beautifully told romantic story! It started off so funny but then got deeper, which only added to the draw of it and it ended so perfectly!!! I loved all of the different types of paranormals and their personalities, the situations and their responses to them. I didn’t realize how absorbed I was with Sam, Alex & Zeph and the humans they are helping – good or bad – until towards the end when I found myself crying and sobbing almost hysterically! (I haven’t done that for quite a while!!) I LOVED the extra part and how it made the story that much more…beautiful & heartwarming. I don’t want to say any more and ruin it, but I truly think that this story is worth getting regardless if you have it in the Crave set. Of course the humor is still hilarious! At the same time that this is beautiful & magical, the funny parts are also equally so. Think of someone who has never been human or had to concern themselves with these things, think how funny it would be to see them all of a sudden human! So many hilarious insight into things we don’t even think about like breathing, hunger pains, sleepy, hot, cold, jealousy, well you get the idea! Experience the True Magic of Christmas!!! We all know that Selena can certainly write terrifically naughty stories, as well as erotic short stories. But in my mind, Selena has now more than proven that she can write shorter Paranormal stories with great humor that grab you, keep you entertained and while you do want more (I mean come on! Who doesn’t want more of a great story!), this definitely showcases just how talented Selena is!!! If I can lose myself in a story and love and relate to the characters, storyline and/or situations, as well as feel like my best friends just got their perfect HEA (one I would love myself by the way) well that tells me that the author not only did their job, but surpassed it all in a shorter story!!!!

(copy gifted in exchange for an honest review)

I love Fey and Fairy stories so was intrigued with reading what Selena might come up with and I was not disappointed.

Sam is a Fairy and Zeph is a vampire and the Fairies serve what they call a Maker which helps alter and shape experiences that humans have here on earth. Now when she comes across Zeph, he is a different type of creature to her, because he can see her so she falls for him. Sam is given a wish for Christmas and when it is granted for only 24 hours; she gets to experience a bunch of firsts with Zeph. He is extremely patient, and kind and loving towards her during all this time that it makes one fall for him as well. She gets to experience food and hot sex and even Christmas as a human for the first time and Zeph is right there with her.

With their 24 hours coming to an end, Sam wants Zeph to change and he does not want. Will Zeph change her despite all he had to go thru or will she go back to being the fairy she was before their time together? To find out that answer, I would so highly recommend you read Blood of Angels and see how their story plays out.

Thank you Selena for this opportunity to read what I hope will be a full series with awesome and new characters.

Selena brings this sultry sexy story to life in a way that is just deliciously devine! The sex and story is hot and full of lust and learning and just plain joy. Some thrilling moments and drama make this story one you wont forget or be able to stop your own arousal from happening. Sam and Zeph are a scorching hot couple. Sam is a Fey and is overly curious of all things human, most importantly sex, all aspects of sex! Being Fey Sam can't be seen by humans and doesn't have genitals like humans do, but feels 'warmth' when she watches humans having sex or pleasuring themselves. Sam and Alex, a fellow Fey, come up with the idea for Sam to wish to be human for her one wish at Christmas.

Zeph is a Vampire, who has special abilities and able to see peoples futures as well as read minds. He can also see Sam, which causes her to become even more curious about him. She talks to him and becomes more and more curious about him. Zeph finds himself falling for Sam more and more as she spends time with him.

Will fate let Zeph and Sam be together? When Sam gets her wish granted, will one night be enough or will there be other things to make their time together come to an end? Or will they both get wishes granted?

You will just have to read this delicious tale and fine out! :)

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

This book was very different from the books I've read by Selena Kitt, and different in general. I really liked it. It's a great paranormal romance for the holidays or any time of year really. It's sexy, funny, sweet, and romantic.

Sam is a fairy, but she's different than most fey. She is obsessed with sex. She can't have it, so it intrigues her. While most fey ignore when humans have sex, she goes out of her way to see it. When she meets Zeph she is more attracted to him than she has ever been to anyone before, and the fact he can see her gets her all tingly inside. A fairy can make one wish on Christmas, and her wish is to be human for one day. She doesn't think her wish will come true, because the Maker doesn't usually grant that type of wish, but she decides to try anyway. Than she discovers all kinds of human desires and what she has been missing. And, she finds out that Zeph is hiding something that could change everything.

This a must read by Selena Kitt. I was surprised by this book. And, in a great way.

Blood of Angels is a very sweet love story between Zeph and a fey named Sam. I love the character of Sam; her innocence and her curiosity. I also enjoyed reading and experiencing all of her “firsts” with her. And Zeph…oh Zeph. I could see how easy it was for Sam to fall for him. He has a gentle and caring way about him.

This book was a very enjoyable read. This was the first paranormal erotic romance book that I read that involved fey. Although the sex was hot, it was pretty tame compared to some erotica books I have read. However, I felt it was perfect for this story (for example, the sex didn’t overshadow the main story). Selena had some pretty interesting takes on supernatural creatures and religious stories (Unicorns anyone?? Read the story and you’ll know what I’m talking about!!) The book had a nice flow to it which made it hard to put down. I did feel that the ending was a little abrupt, but overall, Selena did a great job with this story. I recommend this book to anyone who would like a wonderful read.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Selena for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

Sam was sent from heaven to help mortals while Sam was helping a mortal woman Alex happen to meet Sam by accident it was something about Alex that shocked Sam who had strange feelings never felt before and on top of that Alex could see Sam when no one has ever seen their kind before and so Alex put Sam in his pocket and while the woman he was helping went into the drug store Sam and Alex talked and Sam was still not sure how this was possible so Alex let Sam go even though he wanted to keep Sam when they met again it was at the School where Alex worked and Sam was scared to talk to Alex but he coaxed Sam to talk to him so he could find out more about their kind even though Alex said that he would like Sam to stay with him Sam felt something deep that was like love for Alex it was strange Sam talked to a friend and wished to be a woman for one night Christmas eve with Alex and the council agreed. You will have to read this book because this is really great Christmas story. Loved this book Selena, Great Job!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. Holy cow this book was sure a surprise. I do not give many 5 star reviews but boy does this book deserve it. I did not know anything about this book before I started it, I had not even read the synopsis. I am a fan however of this author and wanted to give it a read. I am so glad that I did take that chance. In this book we meet Sam who is a fairy. Sam helps to show that there a lot of myths about fairies out there that are just simply not true. In this book we also meet Zeph who can see Sam but she can not figure out why. There are many different twists and turns to this story that will have you saying holy cow at the end of the book because you did not see this coming. There is so much I want to tell you about this book but as a reader I like having the opportunity to discover things that happen in a book without knowing they will and be constantly looking for them I would highly recommend this book. It will have you hooked from the first word to the very end.

This was OK, it was a fast read and the story was pretty OK. It was not fantastic.
But what I really, really did not like was something towards the end as it rubbed me the wrong way.

I received this book for free to give my True and Honest Review

I really would give this a 4.5 and the only reason for this is because it just took me a little longer for me to get into than I'm usually used to. But as soon as I got into it, I couldn't put it down. It's about Sam a little guidance Fairy who helps give her what shall I call them, guide'es (which I know isn't a word)a little push in what to do or where to go. She though is so fascinated with humans especially from what she can see their sexual fornication

This was interesting. Sam is a fey. They have no sex, no sexual organs. However, Sam is much more interested in sex and human relationships than other fey. Her job is to push people towards their fate as dictated by the maker.
She comes across a man who can see her and feels a connection with him.
Each year, they get 1 wish and the maker decides if they get it. Usually it's time off, but this year, Sam asks to become human for 1 day.
Of course she uses it with the man and has tons of sex because it's a Selena Kitt book of course!
There's other interesting things that happen and we find out more about the man.
Overalla very interesting tale. I just wish there was more

New twist on the whole Fairy, Vampire, Fallen Angel Myth with a Holiday theme and I want more. I really enjoyed this book. At first I thought how will you mix paranormal and holiday but Selena Kitt made it work. I look forward to reading more of her work in the future and I hope that include more from Sam and Zeph. PLEASE?!

In this book the fairies serve the Maker to alter and shape the experiences of humans on earth. I like how all of the secondary characters were connected and their stories seem to intertwine. Sam loves her job, but she has always felt like something was missing from her life until on one of her assignments Sam's path crosses with Zeph who she is instantly drawn to. Zeph is different from other humans because he can see her, because he is a vampire only she doesn't know that. This has never happened to Sam before and she doesn't quite know how to react. All she does know is that she can't stay away from him. Their mutual attraction is undeniable and unavoidable, which also takes Sam by surprise because she has never felt this way before.

Sam's friend Alex reminds her that every year on Christmas Day fairies get one request that they would like to have granted to them. He tells her that she should use hers to become human for twenty four hours, so that she could be with Zeph and experience everything that being human has to offer including what she is most curious about SEX!!

To Sam's surprise her request is granted. I loved Sam's innocence about everything once she was human. It was enjoyable to see her experience everything for the first time, from food to sex, to the whole holiday Christmas experience. And Zeph was so kind, sweet, patient, and loving to her through it all. He was adorable and my Favorite part of the book. I love how he calls her little one. Awww...SWOON! LOVE him!! And of course the Sex was Hot and everything Sam thought it would be. But even beyond the Sex they found themselves falling in love with each other and with their twenty four hours coming to an end, they do not want to let each other go.

Sam wants Zeph to change her. Zeph doesn't want to do that. He wants to be with her, but he doesn't want her to have to go through everything he has had to experience as a vampire. So will he change her so they can be together forever or will she go back to being a fairy? I think you will want to read The Blood of Angels to find out. If you enjoy paranormal with a holiday twist I think you will like this as much as I did.

Author gifted book for an honest review. Thank you Selena Kitt!! You have added another not only paranormal but holiday favorite to my list.

Sam is a pixy working for fate. Going about the business of ruining or changing lives.  In this story they are so much more to the order of things than anyone realizes, not good or evil just fates workers. They are not seen or heard by human beings, but they have a tremendous influence when the Maker needs something done. They are always  curious about the lives of humans, they watch everything including the private  moments when people think they are alone. Always watching never experiencing, never living. The string of events in this novella are organized in a way that, they have a domino effect and it's brilliant!
When the pixy is hanging around it's the latest assignment, Sam notices that the man who is visiting, Zeph, can see Sam. Sam becomes entranced with him because of it.  The pixy has never come across a being that can interact with a pixy in any way. But there something diffrent about Zeph something special, and the pixy seeks him out to see what he's doing to talk to him, and to be around him. Sam is unsure why but the pixy can,'t stop thinking about him. After talking to Alex a fellow pixy,  Alex had given her an idea. She decides to make a Christmas request of the Maker that will change everything.
Making her request, and appearing to a Council, she is made into a human girl for just one day. She gets to experience the other side of the coin.
I think she already knows that she loves Zeph and would do anything in her power to be with and stay with him. Some of Zeph's secrets are revealed and for Sam it makes no difference. She has one day to spend with Zeph and she will enjoy it and be happy with that. Zeph wants Sam to stay and he could make it so that she could, but he doesn't know if he can do it or should cause that kind of pain to someone he loves. It would  change her existence forever and he is unsure what the consequences will be. Zeph feels like he is in a dark lonely place but time is ticking and he has a choice he has to make or he can condem himself to a lonely life full of regret.
I enjoyed this novel and will be starting on book 2 immediately. There is no cliff hangger, and I highly recommend you give it a read.

Meet Sam the fairy.
Sam's job on Earth is the same as all fairies: make fate happen. But Sam is a little bit different, in that she is interested in human beings - and their copulation. During one of her assignements, Sam stumbles upon Zeph, a man who can see her. That piques her curiosity, but it is the strange attraction Sam feels for him that pushes her to try the impossible: getting to use her Christmas wish to become human, just for one day.

"The Blood of Angels" put a refreshing spin on paranormal romance, first by using a tiny, winged fairy as a main character, and also by using a different take on one of the most popular supernatural creature in PNR today: the vampire. The magical world is well-worked and coherent, and even if you get a good understanding of the great scheme of things, part of it stays mysterious after you close the book. Even fairies don't know everything about the way the world work.

The story mainly shines through its main character and her interest, and subsequent discovery, of the human world. Selena Kitt does a great job at picturing the human experience as it would appear to a creature suddenly becoming a full-grown human being. It is the occasion to remember the simple joy of first times, like the taste of the first strawberry, but also to realise little things we don't really think about, like how it feels to breath. Witnessing Sam's enthousiasm for the human experience is a joy in itself.

"The Blood of Angels" is a sweet read for the holidays, and doesn't disappoint in the romance nor in the paranormal. And it finally tells us who to blame for our lack of unicorns.

A fabulous paranormal read! In this book, Vampires are fallen Angels who loved something, someone or questioned the acts The Maker. As punishment, Angels are forced into being Vampires and are unable to change any human into another vampire.

Sam is a fey of fate and is totally enthralled with the human act of sex. Being neither male nor female, Sam has thought about being a female human.

Sam encounters what is perceived to be a human male that can see fairies. Zeph, has beautiful eyes that seem to see deep within you.
As the Christmas holiday approaches, Sam has decided to be turned into a human with the one wish the fey are granted on Christmas Eve.

Sam's wish is granted and suddenly finds to have limbs and is a girl!
She has actually turned up inside Zeph's apartment and naked.

Within the 24 hours, Sam experiences every thing human. From hunger and sleepiness to the enraptured bliss of sex and love.

She doesn't wish to return to work for The Maker and learns much about Vampires, Angels, The Maker and The UnMaker.
Will she be forced to change back and lose Zeph forever? Can she live without Zeph and the love they share?

A very unique view and explanation of different human beliefs ~

Sam is an androgynous faery, an influencer working for The Maker to get humans to do things according to His will, and he/she is fascinated with sex and love. Sam encounters Zeph, the first who has ever been able to see her and she more or less falls in love. At Christmas, faeries get one wish granted and hers is to be human for the holiday so she can be with Zeph. She gets her wish, but soon realizes that one day will never be enough. And Zeph has a secret, knowledge that may allow her to be with him forever.

So this was definitely different. There is some insta-love as Zeph and Sam fall in love at first sight, despite the fact that Sam doesn't really have a gender, although it's revealed early on that if Sam could choose she'd like to be a girl. So she becomes one. As a character, Sam is a bit simplistic, as you'd expect. You've got a being who has suddenly become human and everything is new - she comes across as very childlike. And she's not exactly given to deep, philosophical thoughts as a result. Zeph is interesting and his baggage is revealed slowly, with hints and foreshadowing and what not. The story itself was quick and easy to read, but I would have liked a slightly longer ending than the one we received.

This book is about a fairy named Sam who is obsessed with human sexuality. She is a good fairy of sorts; she and her fellow fairy Alex are sent by the mysterious maker to help guide people into beneficial situations. Sam finally finds a human who can see her in a teacher named Zeph. Finding out Zeph's secrets change how she looks at her life.

To be honest this book wasn't for me in the beginning. So much of it was Sam watching people have sex in between doing good deeds that I found myself bored. It did grow on me a little once Zeph was introduced and it became clear that he had a little bit of a dark side. Toward the last 50 pages or so I started enjoying the book and I will read the others. I really liked it once his secret was revealed. The author had a really unique thing going with him and his secret. You'll have to read to find out.

My verdict? Give it a try. I think that the books further into the series will be great if they follow where it seemed to be leading at the end.

I received this ARC for an honest review.

It's about a fairy, named Sam, who alters the fate of humans when directed to do so by her Maker. Throughout the book, it appears that her acts of fate are random, but eventually, everything falls into place. It has some funny moments when Sam is mauled by a cat and when she falls into a bathtub. Sam is fascinated by humans having sex because she is asexual. Sam cannot be seen by adults, but during one of her interventions, a psychic, named Zeph, spots her and puts her in his pocket. There's an instant attraction, but Sam doesn't know how to process it. On Christmas eve, fairies get to request a wish and Sam's wish is to be human for a day. She ends up in Zeph's living room and spends Christmas with him enjoying being human. I didn't understand the title of the book until the end of the story. I love Selina Kitt, but this isn't one of my favourite books...sorry. I still give it a solid 4 stars for the hot scenes.

Sam is a good fae or fairy who nudges or suggests things to humans so that good things happen in their life. She also has a fascination with humans doing sexual acts and loves watching whenever she can.

When helping a human called Maya she is shocked to find out that the person with her called Zeph can not only see her but talk to her. She is captivated by him and how gorgeous he looks. She really wants to become human to be with Zeph and experience sex with him.

Sam's friend Alex suggests she use her once a year Christmas Wish to become human and spend a day with Zeph. The rest of the book is about what happens when her wish comes true and why Zeph can see her.

This is a captivating love story which brings together 2 people from different parts of the non-human world. I loved the descriptions of the people and explanations of their feelings and the consequences of them. Definitely a great story.

Meh. 2.5 stars. A spicy little paranormal book that honestly needed more paranormal.

Sam is a silly little fey who spends his/her (because Fey don't identify as male/female) day watching humans have sex while doing good deeds under the influence of The Maker. Sam decides she'd be a "she" if she could be a human. So, she gets one wish a year, so she becomes human for a day and spends it with the mysterious Zeph, a "human" who could see and interact with her as a fairy.

Ok. Good bones to the story, but never fully fleshed out. There was a big paranormal info dump at the end. Fallen angels, vampires, fairies! Could have been awesome. Instead, half of this little book is spent with fairy Sam getting off watching the humans, and human Sam, well, getting off. I get it, Selena Kitt is an erotic writer, and is definitely a step up from many in the genre. But this plot had so much potential that just seemed wasted.

I love it when an author gives me a new twist on a myth that not only surprises me but makes me think, "hey, wouldn't it be cool if this were true?" Selena Kitt did this with a new spin on faeries, angels and vampires. Sam is a fairy and her job is to do what The Maker instructs which usually involves helping humans avoid danger or push someone down their fated path. She likes her job but feels like she is missing something especially when she watches humans have sex. While helping a human she crosses paths with Zeph and he can see her, humans can't see faeries so this is shocking to Sam and at the same time she wants to spend more time with Zeph. At Christmas the faeries get to ask for one request so she asks to be human for a day. Will The Maker grant her wish? Will Zeph still like her when she is human? Will Sam want to go back to being a fairy?

"Amazing Book!"
The story line is awesome! The characters are amazing! This book is a different take on the faries lol.
In this book they are small and are neither male nor female . The little fae are in charge of of humans fate. While on assignment Sam one of the fae's meet what they think is a human named Zeph. Only Zeph is a vampire. Sam decides that they want to be a female lol . and it seem each assignment Sam gets sent on leads her to Zeph. Sam is very attracted to Zeph . Each Christmas the fae are granted one wish , and this year Sam's wish is to be a human for one day. Her request is granted . So now will Sam get to be with Zeph as she wants? Turns out one day is not enough for Zeph and Sam but how can they change it? This is a sweet and touching vampire romance. again Selena Kitt has out done herself :)
