This story hits close to home for me obviously. Reading it felt like watching my “Chelsea against the world” theory play out in real life. The club was punished for a war it didn’t start, just as the previous owner didn’t start it. Despite the UK government’s selfish agendas and dirty politics that could have killed the club forever, we survived. That’s what Chelsea is all about: the greatest and most successful underdogs in the history of sport. When our backs are against the wall, that’s when we knock you out. Someone once said, “Chelsea are never truly underdogs, because as soon as they are, you’ve already lost.” This book proves that was true not just on the pitch, but off it too. As a book I felt the writing was a bit repetitive however it was nostalgic to relive some of the difficult memories and to see how far we’ve progressed ever since! After this book was released we became Champions of the World not long after! Up the Chels!
