This was a very good story. Being told from Scarlett's POV made you think that there might be a HEA, but you would be wrong. She wanted Charlie so bad that there nothing that was going to stop her. This bitch was crazy and every time she did something deceitful it made you want to hate her even more. She was going to destroy Chastity no matter what the price and in the end she was outmaneuvered. Toward the middle of the story I started getting angry with Charlie. He kept going back and siding with this crazy bitch over and over again. I just wanted to slap him senseless! This story still has long way from being over. Though not as much as a cliff hanger as the last book, this story doesn't tie up any loose ends.
Any story that can keep me screaming out loud and the characters and has me so invested in it that I exclude all life outside of the story will always get a five star rating from me. I picked this book up in the morning and didn't put it down until I was finished and this was no novella, at 517 pages this was a page turned until the end. Well done L.J. Dee!

What did I just spend 11 hours reading? This was not a love story. I mistakenly thought author was going to redeem Scarlettat at some point. No, this was 10 hours of her scheming and one hour of Charlie realizing he loved someone else and not even that relationship status was resolved by the end. I will not be reading next book.

Strong emotions
I've always said a really good book will evoke strong emotions, not always good ones either. Such is the case here. I HATED Scarlett. God, she's fictional and I wanted to wring her neck. The whole book I'm screaming to Charlie in my head "just catch the conniving b--ch already!" It wasn't all hate though. There were some deliciously sexy times and, thank goodness, we get our HEA. Definitely a page turner with the right mix of love, angst, and dirty sex. Well done.

Charlie is not an alpha he is an idiot!!! Hated him. And Char is a sap. In some ways so strong in other ways a wimp. Did not like either character by the end of the book and it has also soured me on reading more with Tyler and the conclusion to Roman. Thank god this was free through unlimited or it would have been a total waste of money.

This book is in a different perspective. Scarlett Everett and Charlie Hunter had an extremely rocky past but she is determined to make things right again. Her "love" for Charlie is downright an obsession, and she's willing to throw everything on the line for him. Charlie has a heart of gold and will do what he thinks is right. L.J.'s has a way of tugging your heart, and keeping your mind engaged. I didn't put the book down, and I read it all in a couple of hours. I was completely drawn to all the drama.

So I left most of my opinions about this book and the series in the second Hunter Bother book, Roman.
Most of the story is about Charlie, but seen though the crazy eyes of Scarlett Everett who is obsessed with Charlie Hunter and will literally do anything to get him back and then keep him, this includes and is not exclusive of breast augmentation, high tech spying, business espionage, straight out lying backstabbing and all types of manipulation. Charlie is also a hard core business shark, but he is loyal and truthful to the people he loves, unfortunately for Scarlett, that rarely includes her.
There is a wide ride of sex sex and more sex which only put into more relief that lack of substance in Charlie's relationship with the crazy Scarlett. There is a surprising twist which almost makes the book meaningless which threw me for a loop.
The next book is better then Roman and this Charlie, so if you could could jump into Tyler things would be more interesting.

If there is ever a character that you love to hate it is Scarlett Everette. When I realised this installation would be from her perspective I wasn't too keen but it was something I was prepared for considering it is a book about Charlie and Roman was already written from Chas' perspective. A stroke of genius if you ask me, the change of tone for this series is definitely an interesting one. It was intriguing to get inside Scarlett's head and watch how far she'd go. Oh how I had my fingers crossed for Scarlett's spectacular downfall. As for Charlie... the man makes me want to hang him up by the gonads, I loved him but I also hated him. I found both characters equally frustrating and flawed but man(!) were they intense.
There were a few grammatical errors and some parts were a little repetitive, nevertheless, an entertaining, and steamy read. I've had enough of reading about perfect heroes and heroines so this was exactly what I wanted.

The ever attractive clan of Hunter's seem unable to stop attracting and ensnaring the hearts of unsuspecting but powerful women.
This one won't take no for an answer. When Charlie comes back to make amends for the accusations surrounding their break up Scarlett Everett won't take no for an answer. She turns all of her vast wealth and business backing to ensure Charlie has no choice but to be with her.
The lengths and creativity Scarlett takes in order to entice her man will keep you guessing, not to mention the squirm worthy sex scenes as she tries to seduce her way into his heart.
Prepare yourself for an emotional roller coaster ride.

Loved all 5 books in this series!
This book being from the point of view of the psycho Scarlet stirred a little hatred in me for her....I don't think iv ever read a book where I've gotten so mad lol....and on the second time reading this series I knew where to skim some of the book.
I loved that she listens to recordings from Charlie's day to day life and so you see Chas and Charlie's relationship develop too.

I love the Hunter Brothers.
This book gave me a whole new perspective on him as a character. You also really get to know Scarlett and Chas a lot better. He did need a good smack at several points in the book but he did redeem himself later. I yelled at several characters several times I really do not want to divulge too much.

Omg this book drove me insane I wanted to reach in and strangle Charlie and the wicked witch Scarlett , this was a warped book which left me screaming at times , couldn't stop turning the pages quick enough

3.75 stars. Another hot, sexy, steamy read. Scarlett is bat shit crazy. There were times it felt like one chapter was just like another...same shit, different day. Love that the whole Hunter clan stay involved in every book. Really liking this series. On to Tyler's book...

Oh dear these books went downhill fast this being the worse, why on earth was it told from Scarlett's POV that made no sense, the descriptive sex scenes made no sense, Chas & Roman made no sense & why are the books merging into one without any conclusion, sorry not for me!
