On business
The number one reason for small business failure. Your business cannot survive without a strong sales and marketing focus. Think of it as a 1-to-3 ratio:
* For every one hour you spend in operations or finance, you
should spend three in sales.
* For every one book you read about finance or industry, you
should read three books on marketing or sales.
* For every dollar you spend in operations or finance, you
should spend three in marketing or sales.
Your Mission Makes You Attractive
All the other advice given in this book, specifically about having a strong Mission, automatically makes you more attractive to women (and to men in friendship and business contexts).
A man with a strong Mission he’s devoted to instantly carries with him an air of command, control, and masculinity that women love. Recall the story I told back in Chapter 9 about the woman who said “I want a man with a twinkle in his eye, but I don’t want to be that twinkle.” That's exactly what I'm talking about. Men with Missions are far, far more attractive to women than men without them.

This one is pretty far outside my own moral beliefs when talking about open relationships, but I still found some helpful information. In particular the discussion of what a man's mission is as well as the need for outcome independence. How much outcome independence influences other people and all areas of our lives was part of a paradigm shift for me.

What does it mean to be a man in modern society? As men, how do we achieve happiness, security and freedom? In The Unchained Man, Caleb Jones attempts to answer these questions in an honest, politically incorrect no-bullshit manner.
The primary themes of the book deal with sex and money: Two resources a man needs to be content. These are not the end all and be all of meaning and fulfillment in life, but they are fundamentals of which every man must acquire.
Jones spends much effort in taking the reader out of 'The Prison' in an attempt to convince them that what women, your family and society want for you are not necessarily in your best interest. We are incredibly lucky to live in an age where we have the freedom to live exactly the way we want, which can be done if we break free of our societal programming and find out what we truly want in life.
Jones provides exercises to clarify one's mission, code and goals which I found very helpful.
A major portion of the book discusses sexual dynamics, relationships and marriage. It's surprising and refreshing to learn about the non-mainstream types of beneficial relationships, as well as the dangers of mainstream ones (spoiler alert: Don't get married.).
Overall, an entertaining easy read with a lot of practical advice. Will probably read again in a few years.
