The fierce and brave Phantom Wolf, Sia is gone, at peace with her spirit pack. The new King and Queen have worked hard to restore the peace that was shattered long ago. Their daughter, Sia’s namesake is now approaching eighteen, sheltered from the ugly side of life; she has been protected by the fierce warrior Trim. Scarred and blinded in one eye in the battle that ended the Phantom Wolf’s wandering, he has been the sometimes intolerant, but constant shadow to young Sia.

The peace is being threatened again and there are plans afoot that are being kept from Sia. As a warrior, she is skilled, but too small to be effective. Is she to become part of a political assignation? Is she an unknowing pawn or will Sia discover what everyone else knows? Sia is changing, she doesn’t understand what is happening . Will she become as great as her namesake or are these changes an omen? What of her feelings for Trim? Is what her heart feels, a crush? Hero worship? Or is it a true love that will not be satisfied by anyone else.

When she meets the most feared enemy of the wolves, she finds that her world has been too small, too sheltered and too full of misconceptions. Humans have the same loyalties, emotions and fears as the wolves, but how can one find a way to tear down this barrier?

Kia Carrington-Russell’s Sia is a wonderful compliment to this series with a brief background sketch of previous events to set the stage here, this young Sia is just as unsure, just as brave and determined as the Phantom Wolf. Ms. Carrington-Russell has once again stretched the boundaries of fantasy by presenting her wolves with deep emotional ties, deep treachery and deep prejudices that parallel the feelings of the humans. But should they fear each other? Ms. Carrington-Russell has handled the tentative and new relationship between Sia, Trim and a couple of young humans with perfect detail and clarity. Will she allow this Sia to help bring understanding between wolves and humans? Wonderful dialogue, a great depiction of a teen wolf and an enchanting tale highlight Sia’s story.

I received this copy from Kia Carrington-Russell in exchange for my honest review.

The world we know, and the fear held towards humans is challenged once again. It has now been eighteen years since Sia's and Kiba's death, but the fear is still there. The daughter of King Saith and Queen Keeley, Sia whom was named after the Great Phantom Wolf is challenged constantly in her restricted world. She is protected by Trim, and must discover who she truly is and how an immature heart in love can effect her. I love the character build in this. It challenges individuals, who believe so strongly in something and themselves; to quickly learn and challenge not everything is what it may seem.

Sia was destined for greatness, she had to be after being named after the Great Phantom Wolf.

At nearly 18 years old Sia is not silly and knows that something bad is happening, she doesn't know what but she knows her parents (the rulers of their kingdom) and Trim (her 'bodyguard') are aware of what is happening.

When her parents invite a pack from a different place in the world get invited to the castle Sia is immediately suspicious, especially as she is told she is being used as bait to try and combine the two packs. Sia doesn't understand why they have a sudden need to combine with this pack.. Sia soon starts to clash with the pack

Little does she know that she is about to undergo a massive change, and things will soon become clear as to why she was kept in the dark. Now she must fight not only to protect herself but also to protect Trim once she comes to the realization that she loves him.

*The second book of the phantom wolf series is just as amazing as the first.

I loved Sia and could sympathize with her, when everybody was protecting her, even though they were doing it for her own good. I loved the way that she didn’t let something as trivial as a scar or the fact that Trim only had one eye stop her from loving him. She never let anyone else know how she felt in case of being ridiculed. She thought the only reason that Trim watched over her was because he had promised Sia the great phantom wolf to always protect her

I loved Trim especially the way that he clearly loved Sia from the start but never told her. He was possessive of her when any other male was around and I enjoyed that. The fact that he stood by Sia no matter what he actually thought of her ideas especially if they were the complete opposite of what he wanted or would do was really sweet.
I loved this book and would recommend it to others.

Sia is a girl with a great destiny. She was named after the phantom wolf so that is a lot to hold up with her destiny. Her parents are over the kingdom and she's in love with her bodyguard and life long friend Trim. He just hasn't recognized it yet or has he?
Little does she know how her life will change once she finds out she's bait in order to draw another pack in to merge with. Why was she kept in the dark? She will soon find out. She must fight to protect her and her love. She doesn't understand why her parents would agree on such a union. How could they do this to her?! She's always been there for them.
Sia is one you could look up too. Most definately relate to . Being from royalty, I really loved how her soul is not scared and she viesTrim for his beauty in side and not his scar. She did however worry about what others thought and was afraid of that but her soul was pure. She felt in her heart that Trim was only there out of dedication to the Phantom Wolf and thepromise to protect her. Definately the reader could tell his love for Sia even though he didn't express it and was hard on her. He did show it through his actions. He was not only possessive but very demanding on her morale character as a person.
I felt this book flowed smoothly especially right into the story from the last book. Kia has a way of bringing you into a world that is not normal and especially not normal of the average paranormal books of today. she has amazing talent that will continue to grow as her writing matures! It shows in her writing because of all her creativity of such unusall characters out of the norm. Way to go Kia!!! You've done it again!!!

Sia is the beginning of a series written by Kia Carrington-Russell that is focused on King Saith, Queen Keeley and Sai their daughter the princesses.

For me reading Phantom Wolf first helped me to understand the characters in Sia. This story takes place approximately 19 years after Phantom Wolf. Saith and Keeley have been in power for 18 years. They have united the kingdom over the years but are facing decreasing unity. Lady Momiko and Trim are staying at the castle. Trim is one of the best warriors in the kingdom and is the personal bodyguard for Princess Sai.

A day before her 18th birthday Sai becomes severely ill. The tale takes a turn here as the castle is ambushed, Lady Momiko dies, love is declared and Sia’s right eye changes color to green. As with Kia’s other books the twists and turns keep you guessing.

After Phantom Wolf set the stage for the start of Sia the book does not disappoint. The characters continue to evolve; encounter harder obstacles and further develop of the complicated relationships between main and support characters. By the end of this book I wished it hadn’t ended and left me wanting more, NOW!! There are many unanswered questions that could go in any direction. I again highly recommend this series and eagerly await the next installment. Hold on Sia, you will prevail.

I received this from Bit 'n' Book Tours in return for a fair and honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed Phantom Wolf which I said was original and refreshing so I was really looking forward to diving back into this creative world and I was so not disappointed!

Time has moved and Keeley's baby is now fully grown and chomping at the bit to prove that she has indeed grown up and isn't a baby anymore, even though everyone insists on treating her as such. Because of this, she is sometimes wilful and obstinate, refusing to do what she knows is right - such as staying and training with Hansel. What doesn't help either is the fact that she has been in love with Trim for as long as she can remember but he only sees her for her namesake.

Kia has again written a wonderful, action-packed and yet poignant tale that will sweep you away. The plot is well paced and the characters are fantastically written. They each have their own idiosyncrasies which make for a very interesting read. There is a broad spectrum of characters to identify with, from the extrovert to the charmer, to the warrior. There is something here for everyone.

The ending came very quickly for me but only because I was so engrossed in the story. It has, however, left me with questions that still need answering so if you want everything tied up at the end of this story then you will be disappointed. For me, it means that I can't wait for Book 3 to come out so I can return to the world of Sia and Trim.

Since there are plenty of reviews that discuss the storyline, I won't be going into details of the plot. Personally, I prefer to read books blind, rather than know what to expect thanks to details leaked on the back cover.

This was a great story, one that is equally enjoyable for YA readers and older readers. It crosses genres, with its combination of paranormal, fantasy, adventure, and romance.

Sia is the second book in a series. It is set in this world populated with wolf people where humans are a thing of myths and legends. Because the main characters in both books have the same name, it can get confusing when your trying to figure out which book to read first (I checked the publishing dates).

Book two is told from the second Sia's first person point of view, and a fair amount of time is spent catching us up on what our wolf friends have been up to since we last saw them.

From the first page the story will draw you in as you get to know Sia, but unfortunately you'll get no resolution because the book has a cliff hanger ending.

So as much as I love the characters and the world the author has created, if I had I known about the cliff hanger I would not have read the book. Instead I would have waited till book three was out and read both books together.

Note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sia, the Great Phantom wolf, has been gone nearly 18 years. Part of her still lives on however, Keeley and Saith - the new queen and king - named their cub after her. Now Sia the young lady is having many tribulations that come with being honored with the name. She doesn't see it that way though, as an honor, it has caused her many difficulties with others and within herself. She is destined for greatness but first must learn how to let go and evolve into the woman she must become. She is faced with an internal fight between two men and many secrets. How can she be the woman and warrior she needs to be when so many see and treat her as a cub that needs protection, or is this a struggle she has placed upon herself. How can she protect innocence when she is not viewed in the light she feels she needs, why are her father and her guard not telling her what they know, how can she fight to save the lives of those she holds so dear to her heart?
This is a story that will draw you in from the very beginning and show you the journey how a young lady is forced to become a woman nearly overnight. I couldn't put it down. KIA has done it again, with the beautiful words she writes she has brought to life so many wonderful ideas and values that after you read this you will take a step back and look at the world around you on a different light.

A wonderful continuation of the Phantom Wolf. Sia is named after the famous, yet feared 3rd ever the Great Phantom wolf Sia. Trim has promised his protection to this Sia and her royal parents till his last breath. As they grow through the years, both fight what neither can understand. Sia loves Trim but thinks he believes she is still just a cub, not the woman she has become. As her 18th birthday approaches she is stricken ill and when she finally comes around she is changed in ways she doesn't understand. She now has the Phantom wolf's eye. When Lady Momiko gives Sia 3 gifts she embarks on a suspenseful journey to save her pack and 2 humans from her Uncle Taleb. Trim, Sia, Fimble and Rain embark on a journey find her parent's. Will they discover more than what has been staring them in the face all along? Will Sia be able to save her love Trim as he and the young human girl are taken away on a ship. I look forward to finding out the answer to that in hopefully is the continuation. A Beautiful Read!!

A stunning sequel to the Phantom Wolf! Sia is the princess of the kingdom, and is sick of being treated like a cub. She is SURE she is just as tough as the bravest warriors ! Trim, her best friend and protector (oh, she wishes he were more), remains as cold and aloof as always. When another kingdom sends emissaries and their 2 princes to visit, Sia is mortified to learn that they wish to join the two packs as allies by marrying(entwining) her with one of the princes. What follows is a brilliant story of love and loss, loyalty and betrayal, honesty and lies. The few grammar/typo issues I found in this book were not enough to reduce my enjoyment.

I absolutely adored Sia! This book is a paranormal pleasure for all to enjoy. The transitions of the characters from Phantom Wolf is flawless. The romantic tension between Sia and Trim provokes delightful anticipation. The spiritual purity and character growth is beautifully captured. The execution of the prose was was smooth, storyline riveting, and the integration of the events from Phantom Wolf were tactful. I recommend Sia for all paranormal romance lovers. I am over-joyed to have a new series to eagerly follow.

What an amazing sequel to Phantom Wolf! A part of me wanted to rush through the story so I could see what happens to Sia but the other part of me wanted to slow down and savor the flow of the book and characters a little more slowly... In no way is this book a retelling of the first book! I loved the humor, love and strength that we again find in book 2! I recommend this book completely! Another great book written by Author Kia Carrington-Russell..

Unique take on the Werewolf myth

I really enjoyed the mythos and world of this book. The main character's first person account of the story helped me to really get involved in the love, adventure and sadness experienced by Sia.

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.
Some parts get 4*, others 2* so I'm giving it a 2.5* overall.
I love the idea of this book, the imagination that came up with the concepts and the storyline. Unfortunately I just found myself getting a little lost sometimes and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the universe.
