Shorts, for god’s sake . . . which she’d probably put on that morning, not giving a single thought to the strange man she was about to let enter the house. This just kept getting worse and worse; Logan felt his temperature kick up another notch as disbelief at her actions held him in its grip. Did she have to have such a trusting nature? Would she never learn? Did she think the world was one huge, safe playground? Somewhere in the furthest recesses of his mind, the knowledge that he wasn’t giving her enough credit entered his head; his wife was incredibly brilliant and capable, but he refused to allow the thought to soothe him. He was angry, probably more angry than he’d ever been in his life, and the reason was because she had scared him half-to-freaking-death, and that was the only thing he could concentrate on at the moment.While he held himself still, trying to breathe evenly, trying to get his raging emotions under control, he ran his gaze over her, up and down, just to make sure she was all in one piece.Her tongue shot out to lick her lips and despite his anger, he felt a bolt of white-hot lightning pierce his guts. He could clearly see that she knew he was angry; her lips quivered before she spoke. “Hi, babe . . . you’re home early.”Ahhh…so his little wife was feeling a bit apprehensive at this point and well she should be. His lips flattened as he took a single step toward her. “Sure am. What ‘ya doing, hon?” he spoke the words way too innocuously, allowing his tone to ring with sarcasm.“N-nothing.”He took another two steps forward and she quickly stepped back, bumping the back of her head on the slanted beam behind her. He winced for her and came to a halt; no matter how furious he was, he didn’t want her to hurt herself. “It didn’t look like ‘nothing’, babe,” he replied slowly.“No, it’s just the . . . just the—” her words trailed off as she motioned behind her toward where she’d been on the floor only moments ago.Logan didn’t take his eyes from her to see what she might be indicating. “Just the what?”She shook her head, as if she had no idea what to say.He took a deep breath and blew it out. “Lauren. Come here.”She glanced away before looking back at him. “No, I’m good.”At her denial, he felt his insides electrify with aggression, but he attempted to keep a cool head, even as the heated blood roaring through his veins reminded him he was on a short leash. “Come here, baby.”She licked her lips. “Are you mad?”He took another slow, deep breath. Yeah, he was mad. “Why would I be mad?” he asked a little too sarcastically as he placed his hands on the rafter above his head, feeling his biceps bulge against his short-sleeve t-shirt.

Always a fan of romantic fiction, I've always been in love with the alpha-male. So in love, I've never been quite satisfied with the restrictions of series romance. I like to get into a guy's mind and have him do or say exactly what he's feeling at the moment, and sometimes I shock even myself! I consider my stories soft erotica; one man, one woman, heterosexual. But since abiding love is always the happy ending I'm looking for, my couples are always monogamous. My guy would never share his woman with anyone, and she is always enough to satisfy him. Since I believe that love starts with lust, my stories are always highly sexual, explicit in nature, and hopefully totally satisfying to my readers. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.

I enjoyed this short Christmas novella about Lauren wanting to surprise Logan with a special Christmas surprise. Unfortunately when Logan catches on that Lauren is up to something he goes all Alpha crazy and it takes forever for Lauren to calm him down.

"Now, as he held her in a grip that shouted his supreme right to make her tow his line, hot anticipation licked down her spine when she realized exactly what kind of sex they were about to have. The basic caveman variety. Hot. Dirty. Animalistic."

Lauren knows exactly what Logan needs!!!

oh geez! Logan was a little scary in this one but darn it I still find it hot as hell!! lol He is one crazy jealous man that's for sure. Thankfully this isn't real:)! Still love Logan and Lauren!

What. The. Actual. Fuck. Was. This?

So the couple I really enjoyed in the other two books basically had an EXTREMELY abusive relationship in this one. Logan was a complete and TOTAL arsehole. In the other books he was a bit crazy but he wasn't scary. He was really scary in this. He was an emotionally abusive C U Next Tuesday!

I need to pretend this doesn't exist.

Also, I feel like there should be a warning that this includes a mild rape fantasy scene. because. NO.

Lynda Chance, you are the queen!! How in the world does your work keep getting so good? This was a short story so I thought it was going to be a nice quick read. I should never have underestimated Ms. Chance who can do more in 36pages than most authors do in 3 books. This story was HOT, HOT, HOT!! And the H is so PERFECT; insanely stalkerific and caveman. I demand that Lynda Chance's books be required reading to all romance authors.

This is a really quick and short fun book by Lynda Chance, one of the best authors at writing possessive men. We first read about Lauren and Logan in Pursuit, now we find out what happens when Lauren thinks Logan is out of town and does something she knows he won't like for Logan for Christmas. This was a quick steamy fun read that everyone who loved Logan and Lauren in Pursuit will love reading and catching up on them both. This was an all around fun book from Mrs. Chance as a Christmas present to all her fans.

Oh Logan, Logan and his caveman tendencies. Still as crazy in love, crazy jealous and possessive over his wife Lauren as ever. ♥ I missed this two couple! Loved this Christmas Special though it was too bloody short. Doesn't matter anyway, I'm reading anything by Lynda Chance no matter how short her book is. ♥

This was a very short read, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I have some of Ms. Chance's other books. Logan seemed to push his "alpha attitude" a bit too far this time. I was actually scared for Lauren a couple of times while reading this. Probably not my favorite of the three Logan & Lauren books I've read.

This is a Logan and Lauren Crenshaw Christmas novella by Lynda Chance. Logan has been away on business for four long days and he's anxious to get home to Lauren. After years of marriage he still can't keep his hands off his sexy wife. While Logan was away Lauren was trying to plan a surprise gift for him for Christmas. She had a few contractors come out to their house to get an estimate on turning their attic into a man cave for Logan. She wasn't expecting Logan to come home a day early just as her and the last contractor were in the attic alone together. Logan comes home early to surprise his beautiful wife but he's the one surprised when he finds her in the attic with a strange man. In typical Logan Crenshaw style he kicks the guy out of his house and does some very naughty things to Lauren.

If you have read the other two books about this couple then you will know that Logan is an out and out Alpha Male! I love an alpha and Logan although a bit overly possessive for my liking is as alpha as they come.

This book is set 6 years into their marriage (and before kids). Logan has been away from Lauren for four days and can't wait to get back to her and make love to her but when he returns home he doesn't like what he finds. A misunderstanding over a Christmas surprise Lauren was trying to set up for Logan sends him into a possessive, jealous streak but it's more that Logan loves Lauren beyond compare and he worries about her safety etc. There are two sex scenes and lots of declarations of love.

I loved it! If you love an alpha male then you will enjoy this short read.

This holiday special takes place years into Logan and Lauren's marriage. She has contractors coming out to give a bid for a surprise she has in store for Logan. When he comes home, he finds a contractor at the house and goes off! As usual Lauren has to calm down the savage beast! it is an intriguing story with an over the alpha that doesn't want men around his woman!

Wow, I wasn't sure what I was reading as I haven't read the previous books. I tend to start series somewhere in the middle because I pick up a book, either because it is free or I like the cover or the title. Anyway, I am not stupid and I know that there is obvisiously more to this couple than meets the eye in this little novella. I had to remind me when he got all verbally psycho on her that she knows him, knows how to push his buttons, knows how he feels, reacts and is still doing it. What I didn't like was that the writer kept assuring me as a reader that Lauren is totally safe with Logan, that he would never hurt her even when he behaves like a caveman towards her. That felt to me as if she read what she was writing and felt exactly the same as I (and probably other readers) did. That it sounded as if he was just one step from losing it with her because he is extremely jealous and paranoid regarding the rest of the male population. Yes, they are all out to create business web pages just to get into the house of a woman home alone to rape and kill her. Mind you, he is leaving her alone in the first place to do what all the other guys do, earning money for a living. No Christmas feeling at all.

Free quick reading, Logan always is a delight to read, a little bit over the top about his feelings for Lauren, but then he expalin his feelings and I say what the hell, he can act all crazy possessive on me any day...

He’d become possessive within hours, jealous within days, territorial within a week. He’d thought for a long while that he’d possibly even lost his sanity . . . but then he’d realized: he was fucking in love with her. Obsessively, aggressively, crazily . . . exclusively in love with her. He’d known in a heartbeat he’d do anything for her, do anything to protect her, slay any beast for her.

Of course, the attraction between those two is still intense...

I hope Lynda Chance will write another book with these chracters, I enjoy them a lot.

I am not a reviewer who gives out 5 star reviews when they aren't deserved but it sure is in this book. Even if you have not read any of the rest of the stories about this couple you can appreciate this story. In this short story Lauren is trying to come up with the perfect Christmas present for Logan. Logan has been out of town for 4 days and all he can think about is his wife. Logan is what Lauren calls a 21st century Neanderthal man. Logan knows he has jealousy issues when it comes to his wife but he can't help himself any man who looks at her just winds him up but she is the only one to calm him down. This is another amazing hit by this author, it is short but it packs a lot into this short story. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

We see Logan and Lauren again 6 years after they are married. Logan still has not gotten over his intense possessiveness where Lauren is concerned. Lauren makes the mistake of hiring contractors to come and give her a bid as a surprise Christmas present for Logan, but he comes home early and discovers a contractor at their house. Logan loses his mind and Lauren has to try and get him to settle down. At the end of the day, not much has changed between these two and it was a cute, short story.
