Chastity Point #3

Consumed By Moonlight

Rate this book
Even the most sophisticated man can't conceal what's prowling underneath his skin forever. When the beast is denied for too long there is no way to predict the consequences...

A levelheaded Taggart Delaney had never had any trouble with concealing his true nature and hiding from the world the part of himself that, for all intents and purposes, was a wild and dangerous wolf-like creature. While his friends preferred the thick of the fray and letting their beasts roam free, he chose the concrete of the city jungles and tried to keep a tight lid on his savage instincts. But all the traits he had learned to rely on, such as cool veil of logic and reason, come to a screeching halt when he encounters the one woman who has the power to shift his world on its axis.

Despite the years that Mia Cartland had spent living in Chastity Point nobody really knew anything about her except for what meets the eye. She kept people at arm's length, all her love and attention bestowed upon the horses she raised instead. Her life had been a far cry from a fairy tale as one could get, which was one of the reasons she didn't believe in knights in shining armor or even love for that matter. She identified emotions with enslavement and was unwilling to be convinced otherwise. But a man like Taggart had his ways of thawing any resistance when his mind, eyes... or his beast set its sight on something.

These virtual strangers will have to learn how to live in a world, where emotions not only exist but are potent and that logic doesn't always prevail. Can the two, who are jagged around the edges, see past their scars and reach for happiness which seems within their grasp, or once again is capricious destiny going to rob them of their choice?

M.E. Yildirim is a Public Relations specialist from Poland who is confident Satan himself created math and that the world needs more bookworms to balance the evil out. Her mother is the one who had inculcated in her respect and love for written stories and taught her not to judge a book by its cover. She lives with head full of voices which won't be silenced until she lets them out to live and spin their tales on paper. That's right-their tales, since they seem to have a mind and will of their own. Walking through life to the beat of her own drum, she has worked in a PR Agency, small companies, a big consortium and even in the Military. But none of it could ever compare to the adventures of creating and building up her characters and stories. M.E. believes that books are for smoothing out everyone's feathers and reminding people all the things they've already forgotten. She is happily married, oftentimes engaging her husband in her writing, with or without his consent. Tenacious as much as the characters she creates, she loves challenges, letting her own creations to take advantage of that fact.

I admit now, that I was worried about book III in the series. Why? Because I loved book I and Keegan, then Ciarán came along with book II and I couldn't imagine what kind of a man could top them both. I was wondering how Taggart would turn out to be, especially since there was very little about him in the previous parts. But the Author surprised me once again by creating a set of very interesting and complex characters bringing the series to its grand finale. What did I love about this book the most? The fact that Taggart wasn't a shadow of the previous males. He was a strong character on his own and his story was a tad different than what I had expected. What I didn't like? I disliked, no, hated really that this is the end of the series. I hope the Author won't let me wait for the next adventure too long and I am curious what kind of a book will come next!

I've been waiting for this book since the first hint of Taggart. He was a character I wanted to know more about and M.E. didn't disappoint. And Mia gave him a run for his money. Both carrying past they don't want to talk about and just want to forget. For Mia hers was her old life with an abusive husband. With her past behind her and the love of horses she tries to move on. But Taggart comes in the picture and BAM! Gets her to open up and the rest is for you to read. Oh did I mention that Taggart is HOT!! I also loved that M.E. brought back the characters of the first two books. You need to read all.

M.E. has worked her magic once again. When I read The Lake Of Shadows, I swore no one could top Keegan. Then came Between The Trees, and I fell hard for Ciarán. Now Taggart.....she's outdone herself. There's no topping Taggart. I love that your women are real....not some wishy washy heroine that you see in most books. Mia gave as good as she got, and she is the perfect mate for Taggart (aside from me, of course ;) ). I can't wait to read your next series....you've got a dedicated one clicker in me. <3
