I'm not even sure what to say! Shook is the only emotion left after that ending which seems to eclipse my overall experience.
Makes you want to phone your friends and family. Listen a lil harder. Talk a little longer. He was a kid!! Gio was dealing with too much. He never wanted to go to no stinking NY!!!
Talk about a city chewing you up and spitting you out... I am bothered...
Gio hits the streets to NY in style and teams up with a Misfits crew in an attempt to redo wrongs on his past and some how redeem himself.
All the while struggling with mental health. Determined to make it on his own, He doesn't tell his family that he is struggling. Nor does he ask for help.

Worth the wait - Dio 🥰!
This read was definitely worth the wait. Tati did her big one with this here. Let’s get into it!
Mental health is so series and not anything to play with. It can take over you and your life if you allow it and keep ignoring it. This is exactly what my guy Dio was dealing with. However was he really. I feel he was dealing with grief, guilt, abandonment and depression. Honestly he never forgave himself four what happened to Ace. Was he wrong, definitely as he is a hot head but was it intentional - not at all in my opinion.
Do move to the big apple was for a new beginning but what greeted him was BS and shenanigans. From the beginning was guy was dealt a bad hand. Not only that he was alone and missing the only family he knew - his brother Zu and Zoo family! From witnessing a crime, witnessing an assault and having issue with a f-boy and the list can go on. The short version is “domino effect” of shenanigans. The only good thing was meeting Samara! However, at the time his focus was on Princess - 🤮! I just didn’t like her at all - 🤣! I just knew she was going to play herself a she went about things the wrong way and honestly she and Mars both did in their own way! But we know Dio and is a hard pill to swallow and carried a lot of unresolved luggage!
Samara was also a victim of abandonment of her father and mother. My girl had to care for self at a tender age of 16 and doing that she had to do what needed to be done to survive. That alone has my riding with her as the struggle is real and we all can relate to that in some way! She played no game and will defend her by all means. Samara was not looking to feel anything for Dio, but the universe had other plans. The way she was able to be his peace is what I loved the most. Not expressing her true feelings for Dio is the only issue I had with her. Feeling as if she expressed it, my guy wouldn’t be going through most of things he was - again my opinion.
Bianca, this girl! I don’t like her! Her intentions were not the best. Does she care for Dio, I think she does but not the way she saying she does. She’s trying to use him to get away from her family, again my opinion - don’t fight me 🤣! The way she looked down on Mars had me wanting to just pinch her 🤣! Again my opinion, I think she slightly envied Mars cause she was able to live her life the way she wanted and Bianca couldn’t! The server she’s holding should have been started to Dio so he was aware but her being the selfish person she was she did tell. Oh but when he finds out -🤣! No one will be ready! They truly think his alone but truly they not listening to him when he say he has FAMILY.
Boogie, all I’ll say about him is Karma is knocking at his door and about to serve him well. He just trifling and tacky -🤣! Again, I just don’t like him. How you living the way you living thinking you are going to get away with it!

Bianca- a dummy who couldn’t find her head from her ass. No loyalty and focused on the wrong damn things!!!!
Samara- that poor sweet girl. I hope she find a slice of peace in her life cause no one deserves to be treated this way and left like this from their mother .
Dio!! Lord this baby needs to be in therapy!!! He’s just bout as slow as can be and hardheaded as a muthafucka. All he had to do was listen to Ace but he continues to busy make stupid choices. One mistake after another and he refuses to call his family and try to get himself into a place where he can possible heal and Flourish. This poor fool. I hope his brother gets to him and kick his ass in shape. After his life, childhood and the mistakes he’s made you would think he would be making better choices. Lord he needs direction.

I loved seeing how Dino’s trying to come into his own and go through his trial’s & tribulations. I know Tati wouldn’t be Tati if she didn’t leave us hanging the way that she did, but I am really hoping that Dio isn’t unalive. I just want it to be known I dislike Bianca/Princess I hope she gets what’s coming to her. I really hope Samara isn’t gone gone like for real. Boogie is a B.A.N. who I’m hoping Tameka sees through. I’m ready for the Cove and hope the Zoo do them Dirty! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

YO...This book had me on a roller coaster of emotions. If you don't know, you know now that Mental Health is REAL! The crash out that Dio is going through from start to finish in this book is insane.
If I could snatch Dio up and tell him to slow down, call his peeps, listen to Ace, and leave that damn Bianca wanna be Princess alone ASAP!
I cannot wait for the continuation of Dio's story b/c I know it is not over.

There is a lot of YN stuff going on in this book I almost did not finish the book. This boy was so lost and I just could not understand why he did not reach out to his family who cares for him, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re young and you don’t know a lot or haven’t lived enough. It was interesting to see his perspective wrapped in that of the people he met in New York and I can only hope that he finds the help that he needs.

A Raw, Real Look at Mental Health, Identity, and Consequences
Dionysus moved to New York trying to escape the mess he left behind in Toussaint, but trouble has a way of following you when you don’t face your demons. Surrounded by a ragtag group of new friends, Dio still ends up isolated, making terrible decisions and pushing his mental health to the side. As someone who also struggles with maintaining their mental health, I felt deeply connected to his journey—though frustrating at times, it was honest. So much of what happened to him could’ve been avoided if he were more in tune with his own mental state, and that hit close to home.
Bianca… she gave spoiled rich girl trying to cosplay struggle. Her entitlement was grating, and honestly, everything that happened to her felt deserved. Boogie? He made me mad. Coming to a whole new state to play gangster while his life back home is already in shambles? No thank you.
Samara was a breath of fresh air. She played it safe, maybe too safe for my taste, but her decisions stayed true to who she was. If I were in her shoes, I would’ve made bolder moves, but I respected her consistency.
The supporting characters added value without overshadowing the main cast, and that balance was really well done. The writing itself was strong, and I love how Dio’s story ties into the Zoo universe but still holds its own. It didn’t feel like filler—it felt intentional, layered, and real.
Highly recommend for readers who like character-driven stories with flawed but compelling leads and honest mental health undertones.

Bianca aka Princess aka Cartel Princess! 🤦🏾♀️She was doin too much and no i dnt think she should b spared! Because the fact tht she was doin sneaki stuff to keep dio attention frm samara🤦🏾♀️ then... She turned snitch tht did more harm than good! Her momma strictli business and for bianca to b out in the streets and strippin! 🤦🏾♀️ I still didn't like her reasonin, girl if u like to dance its better options, it ain't like she needed money🤦🏾♀️ yeh i dnt like her, im glad samara molli whooped her! I clutched my imaginary pearls, the whole time. Dio and his mental problems had me wanting to just love and hug him despite dealing with these new characters. From Zootopia when we first learned about Dio and what lead to his “manic episodes“ and how he met Princess. I just knew that this was going to be his saving grace but she had some secrets of her own. His first night in the big city lead to connections and situations that could have ultimately be his downfall but hopefully the one unlikely friendship that brings him peace can become his forever. Now it’s a lot that has happened in a little over a span of a month’s timeframe and the cliffhanger is gonna send you. Babeee next stop is the Cove and the Zoo boys so you know we are in for a good time. Y’all this is a definite read from Tatiana’s catalog with the addictive, must read to see how it’s gonna end series! And the Hood Guide,yea that’s definitely gonna help majorly. Listen just read the book, lol

And Dio? That man is spiraling through trauma, temptation, and truth like a walking warning label. And the biggest gag?? His own cousin doesn’t even know he’s IN THE CITY.

There were alot of moving parts in this book. I know Dio is young and he trying to live his life the best way he can. I wish he wouldn’t be so hardheaded and lean on his family. The whole point of him going to New York was so he can start over and do better. His pride is the reason he is in the mess he is in. Ace tried to warn him every step of the way and he would not listen. It hurts my heart because half of this stuff didn’t need to happen. Zeus would be there for him in a heart beat. No question asked. The Zoo Boyz will always ride for their own. I’m hoping this next book is where shit turns up. I already know if anything happens to Dio, Zeus is going to turn New York upside down. Cartel be damned.
Samara: I like her. She’s a young artist trying to survive. I hate she got involved in this crazy shit. I hope her and Dio end up together. I think they would make a nice couple.

Boogie: Lawddd I don’t even know where to start with him. He’s so busy trying to be a boss that he’s running from his own problems. He should have told the truth up about killing Bianca’s uncle instead of lying and blaming Dio. Ego and pride is going to be the death of these men.

Dio’s story took me on a journey that felt so close to the ride I went on with Chevy’s Promise. I came into this book thinking I knew what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. What really stuck with me was how emotionally invested I became in Dio’s path. His desire to stand on his own, to prove to himself and to everyone else that he could hold his own like his brothers? Whew. It was raw and real.
Was he dropping the ball left and right? Absolutely. He had someone guiding him, trying to help, but he just would not listen. And maybe that’s because listening meant facing the truth acknowledging that what he feared might actually be happening to him.
And that ending? Listen… Tatiana didn’t just tug on my emotions. She threw them in a blender and hit purée. I’m emotionally wrecked and impatiently waiting to see what’s next. If you haven’t started this one yet, don’t wait. Just be ready to feel everything.

Bianca “Princess” Valencia is living a double life, that not only threatens her livelihood, but the lives of those around her. I have mixed feelings when it comes to her, because she clearly doesn’t see how her selfishness is endangering others.
This book is a much welcomed addition to the Zoo Boyz. My favorite character goes out to Dio and the least favorite is that slime ball Boogie. I love how a couple of characters from The Zoo Boyz make cameo appearances in this book, and I’m sure once the ish truly hits the fan…they will be on their way!
Don’t get it twisted…it’s still Zoo Crew over everybody!

When Your Mind Play Tricks on You
The book has my mouth hanging wide open!!!…I would not have thought Dio would find himself in this much trouble after all the chaos that was left behind him!!!…
His conscience is eating him up from what he did to Asia and Ace!!!…I truly hope he makes it out this mess and is able to get the help he needs to get his mental together!!!…
Samara is in straight survival mode and I was hoping Dio got to her before she left because it would be so good for her to be with Zaria!!!…
Bianca is a very soiled entitled person and I truly hope she get what is coming to her and her momma too!!!…
I’m glad Boogie’s wife busted him and I hope the cartel find out he is the reason behind the death of their love one!!!…The fact that he was so tough and now running scared is hilarious to me!!!…
If Dio don’t make it, even if he does, the Zoo Boyz are going to tear those New York streets up about baby boy!!!…

Oh my goodness, Dio stressed me out but in that i just want to shake him way. Honestly I don't think him being 18 is the issue, it's his mental health. It's hard trying to live in your truth no matter what is going on. I think him being around Samara helps because of the judgment free zone. It's like she can understand the chaos of Dio. I think he wants to understand her more as well and knows her going with her mama is not gonna be good for her. Now I understand Bianca but the way she handling these situations I don't know how she gonna run anything. Boogie should have left well enough alone because he just foul on all levels, in the same boat as Bianca. I don't know Cartel culture but Bianca mama definitely plays a big part as well!!!

My head is spinning!
Dip is young, but he has a lot of knowledge... So why is he constantly getting into these situations? Princess/Bianca was not the person I expected her to be when she and Dip first started talking. Why didn't he just call his family when he arrived? I'd say the only person who meant him any good was Samara, and he figured that out a little late. Boogie was as snake like as Bianca, so getting mixed up with her crazy mama was appropriate. I just hope things aren't as bad as that cliff hanging ending made it seem. I started reading the cove intro before this so I put it down to see what's going on. Dio's story takes place before the crew makes it to Toussaint. Happy Reading Y'all!💋

I started Demon’ysus “just for a chapter” before bed—and suddenly it was 4:59 AM, my Kindle battery gasping, and I was frantically jumping into Tatianna Timmons’s reader group begging, “Somebody better be awake, because I refuse to suffer alone!” 😭

SKRESSEDT is an understatement. Dio baby he’s truly just trying to find his footing in life and having a hard time trusting people and himself after Asia and Ace. Bianca needs to go , no ifs ands or buts about it she needs to be gone because she’s just using Dio the whole time for her way out of the life of her family. Samara she’s the same as Dio trying to find her footing in life i hope she doesn’t go with her mom and stays in NY with Dio. It’s just a lot and with Boogie being in the middle of everything he also needs to be gone as well because he’s just a bald face liar 🤥. It’s definitely a cliffhanger to see if Boogie really shot Dio hoping he doesn’t so Dio can lay hands on him 🤭🔥

wildest ride yet
Dio is a wild but lost boy. So young and so lost. He is struggling and spiraling and no amount of recreational medicine is going to help him. He came to New York for a new beginning, but it very well might be his ending. In the short amount of time he’s made genuine and conditional relationships mixed with deception, secrets, and destructive behaviors. Everyone and everything is not as it seems and all of the key figures have something to hide. Dio was definitely on Demon time. Great read!

Bravo.. Tatiana did her thing with this book. I love how this book was a page turner. I read this nonstop throughout the day. I am not disappointed at all. Mental health was touched on a lot. This book was full of action. I hope Samara and Dio end up together. Bianca needs her a$$ whipped because there is no way she is outside acting like she is not a whole cartel princess.
