**Warning--This book contains strong sexual content, adult language, rape, and violence. It is intended for readers over the age of 18.** ~ This book can be read as a stand alone and does have a Happily Ever After ~ After growing up with Ryder, Harley never expected one night to change everything between them. The line between friends and lovers blurred but she didn't want to risk their friendship. She expected her freshman year of college to be hectic, fun, exciting, and for it to give her the opportunity to meet new people. What Harley never expected was to meet Hunter, he was wonderful in every way but Ryder was never far from her thoughts. Instead of going to college, Ryder decides to start his own custom paint business and patch in to the same motorcycle club as his dad. No matter what he's doing or who he's with he can't let Harley go. But when lies start to surface and tragedy strikes twice...who will be the one to put Harley's broken heart back together?
I read Rewind first and so it was good to already know the history of Harley and Ryder's parents before starting this one. That being said, you could still read Unstoppable and enjoy it (since they do explain how the kids came to be born at the same time and why they were so close) but it adds a bit to know that history does repeat itself somewhat. That issue is the only part of the book that bothered me (that and another secret we find out near the end) but for the most part, it was an intense story of friendship, family ties and coming-of-age with the poignant pain of survivng abusive relationships and rape. Be prepared for an extremely emotional and at times really hard to read book but know that life is not always pretty and love and the truth can sometimes be triumphant in the long run.
The blurb had enough in it to get my attention but I wasn't uber excited to read it first in my run of books for the week.
I'm glad it was more exciting than the blurb gave it credit for.
I was really upset when Star died, she was so sweet.
A book that had a story line where a student hooks up with a teacher and he's a creep and not a total swoon worthy guy, different to what I'm used to regarding teachers.
I did feel sorry for Ryder when he confessed his love for her and she rejected him and left for collage anyway.
Friggin hell!! This is a little gem. I absolutely loved rewind and this is a great continuation of a great story line. I loved how this was 19 years after Rewind. Ryder and Harley seriously adored them both... I also think I found another favourite author..
Five stars! An amazing follow up to Rewind. The babies all grown up and dealing with some hard matters. This book is an excellent foray into the world of abuse and love. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for more after reading Rewind.
Loved this book. Yes the first one is Rewind but you don't nerd to read it to understand this book. It pretty much tells you what happened it the first book. This book was funny, sad, heartbreaking, hopeful and oh so very hot. Must read this book. I highly recommend it 100%…
I feel so bad for Harley!!! She's such a sweet heart! I loved her and Ryder and he was so awesome! I loved that star was both of their best friend!!! This was an amazing book!! Sad but amazing!
I don’t usually do reviews and even less frequently give 5 stars, but since I’ve stumbled across Christina Marie, I have reviewed each book as I read them and gave nothing less than 5 stars.
OMG I loved this book!!!! Harley and Ryder are the kids from Rewind. I fell in love with Ryder and felt so bad for him. I don't know why Harley dates the first guy she meets in college but that was her choice. Her roommate Sarah is freakin hilarious. I hope she gets her own book. There are very graphic scenes in the book so if sexual violence is hard for you to read you may want to reconsider. This was an emotional roller coaster but it does have a HEA. I really love this author. I know I read her books under her previous name but for some reason these books just seem much more thorough. Can't wait to see what else the author has for us!
I enjoyed this book a lot. The storyline is well written as well as the characters. My heart ached for Harley and everything she had gone through. Ryder was great to her and great for her. Ends with a HE
3.5 stars.... I enjoyed it but it was just too similar to the first one and I read them back to back. Saying that I will definately be reading the next book of the series
