Claudia Mair Burney is the author of the novel Zora and Nicky: A Novel in Black and White, as well as the Amanda Bell Brown Mysteries and the Exorsista series for teens. Love it!
Emme is back and is growing in her knowledge of how to use her gifts. Her search for her mother take her on a journey, away from her beloved Francis and onto a path of yearning, questions and doubt. Emme is helped through her valley experience by a quirky group of ( spiritually fortified ) friends, a mystic that knows more about her than she does and a call to action that helps Emme renew her faith and rise to meet the challenges she will face. More please! This author is fantastic!

I've loved Emme since we first met her back in Inkster at the Walgreens when she first meets Frank (Francesco ahhh hottie) shes just as spunky as ever and kick butt, in her super kool diva demon kicking boots. In this book Emmes on her own but still playing it cool as ever praying and doing things her own way she out to find her mama but things just keep happening but she still pulls through. Burney creates a fictional heroine that just make you want to channel your own butt kicking diva side boots and all. I love Burneys prose and decriptions she has a way with dialogue that some authors cant really channel, what Emme says isnt far fetched, she talks like a REAL person. She a 3D character that has a check mark in all riteria sections dealing with relatable characters. The plot just flows from one book to next and you cant be disappointed till you reach the end and realize you want more.

Emme Vaughn is back and ready to kick some demon butt in the second installment of the Exorsistah series! In this book we see Emme grow a lot as a character. While searching for her mother, she is forced to face her demons (literally) and overcome new obstacles. Through new and old friends she becomes a more trusting person and slowly break down her barriers of shutting others out. Emme also gains and discovers newfound powers in order to defeat her enemies!

The action picks up from the first book as well. Readers will find themselves constantly entertained by the second novel as it is filled with more fight scenes, the supernatural powers intensify, and the drama comes within Emme’s life as she battles her inner emotions and fear.

This book like the first didn't disappoint me at all. The flow of story kept me interested and being a fellow resident of Michigan I beemed with pride with every mention of my lovely state and its crazy weather. I could feel the characters emotional struggles and Emme felt so real to me. She's strong and smart but still young. The extra characters played their parts well and I didn't feel like they were there just to fill up space. But ofcourse Francesco never just fills up a space...he owns it. Can't wait to read the next book.

Once I started the book I did not want to put it down. Ready for the next journey
