Rushed to a Crossroads transport far before her scheduled time, Sable finds herself in the portal as it collapses from an unseen force. Her soul is bleeding out, her body is weak and the Crossroads is untethered from earth so no help is coming. When she shifts to her feline form and back, something goes wrong and part of her gets stuck. A handsome man helps her back to the Open Heart, and he offers her patient companionship as she gets the first treatment for recovery.Warren has been waiting for days, but when he sees the cheetah streaking through the meadow, he kicks himself. He had shut his senses down to the point he couldn’t recognize his mate when she passed out in his arms. It was not a mistake he would make twice.

Zenina Masters was born in Canada and lives in Canada. She has a regular job and does nothing particularly exciting with her life. She enjoys fishing, silence and the ability to pick and choose friends she can trust. Life is too short to watch your back all the time.

Her writing life is a teeny bit of escapism, she would probably chicken out if confronted by three naked men and looks forward to one day finding out.

The fae want in on the Crossroads? How will this work? The Crossroads is a safe haven dedicated to shifter finding their mates. In this one, whilst the romance is between a cute cheetah and a sexy tiger, I'm more interested in the proceeding going on with the Shifter Council. How will the fae be given a chance to find a mate?

Ms. Masters changes into a new and exciting direction. Whilst there are plenty of animals she has not used yet, the basic story line does see the same. With the threat from the fae and how they are going to be integrated with the shifter world, it will inject excitement into this series.

The world building is just so good here. It's nice to see an opening left for more than just fae entering into this society. I've always been intrigued with djinn Teebie. To see more of her family show up as well as her people will be exciting too. What it really comes down to, is Ms. Masters weaves a wonderful tale of romance and magic. This is why I'm reading every book in this series and enjoying every single one of them. Each one is a variation of a good theme. Love it! This paranormal romance is recommended to readers who enjoy shifters, fae and magic all intermingling.

Romance blossoms quickly, as tends to happen in the Crossroads books, but that’s part of what I enjoy about this series. There was a lot going on in the book besides the romance here – the severing of the tether for the Crossroads, the elves wanting in on the Crossroads action, shifting ability going awry, and that’s just to start.

I loved this one! Please don't get me wrong, I have loved all the magical creatures of the previous stories, but since Ms. Masters has changed up the Crossroads this series is getting better and better! I can't wait to read the next one!

Finally getting back to what is happening with the elves and the Shifter Council. It splits the story between that situation and the romance at the crossroads.

So, here is my grumble, there seems to be a consistency issues from things said in past books. The last I heard the fae were against missing and that was what the rebel faction was about. Maybe I misunderstood, even though I just finished reading the book that referenced this.

The romance here was overshadowed by the other events. They really did not get as much stage time as they deserved. Sable has such a wonderful spirit before going to the crossroads, I was looking forward to more banter with her mate. Warren seemed a great match, but we didn't get to know him that well. This is one I really wish were longer because the leads did not get the proper romance they deserved.

That being said, I really am eager to see how things pan out with this conclusion. There are some interesting plat points that need to be contended with and some serious issues that will have to be overcome.

The steam is only one scene, but quite combustible!!

I am hoping we get to see some past star crossed loves, Dromer and Ida, find love.

More plot than we usually get. This one actually got me invested in the story even though it was still too short.
