Released: A Story of God’s Power Released in Pro Baseball
UPI has been a spiritual resource and source of guidance in a very worldly profession. The friendships and community provided by UPI are essential in the game of life.
— Sal Bando, Former MLB Player and General Manager of the Milwaukee Brewers
God has used UPI to make a difference in the lives of so many. I’m grateful He put UPI into my life.
— Rich Maloney, Head Baseball Coach, University of Michigan
Released tells the remarkable story of the birth, growth, and development of a unique Christian outreach to the world of professional baseball—Unlimited Potential Inc. Beginning with a phone call from Hank Aaron during a miserable Indiana blizzard, the fledgling ministry has grown into a global outreach that has impacted thousands through baseball clinics and Gospel-centered instruction.
Of special interest are chapters exploring the culture of professional baseball and the unique challenges faced by a pro baseball player’s wife.
Through dozens of anecdotes and personal stories of transformed lives, the pages of this book come alive. Drawing from lessons learned on the field and in life, readers will return again and again to the leadership principles taught and lived out through UPI. Like a pitch from the game’s finest, UPI’s message has been “released” across the world.
In the end, the reader must make the call.
