“Tales from the Enchanted Village”, by Vishü Rita Krocha, draws readers into an unfamiliar rhythm—both captivating and occasionally unsettling. Each folktale pays homage to the author’s roots in Zhavame, beautifully blending the village’s traditions, folklore, and way of life.

The collection reflects a profound bond between humans and nature, revealing a world where miracles and malevolence coexist. Through these enchanting tales, the author preserves the wisdom, heritage, and collective memory of her people.

The stunning cover by Krusielhou Tepa captures the spirit of the book perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Nagaland’s culture and folklore.
