They say standing at death’s door lets you see beyond the veil, revealing the true meaning of all we've done and all that lies ahead. It is in those pivotal moments that we see the truth that awaits us…
After facing intense tests and trials throughout their career and relationship, FBI agent Olivia and Brock head to Cancun for a relaxing beach getaway.
When they arrive at the resort, no one could have prepared them for the mass duplicity and the veil of vengeance that would spiral loose. The dead body of an American politician is found stuffed into the closet of Olivia and Brock’s hotel room. Strangely, he had checked out of that very room several days ago. How did he turn up again in the same place? Who put him there?
The mass hijinks and casualties take the two on a roller coaster adventure, one they wish they never got in line for. After multiple bodies surface, possibly linked to the case, it becomes certain that this was more than just a robbery or drug deal gone wrong.
From crime syndicate and cartels, to hidden affairs of the heart, the investigation takes so many shocking turns it feels the truth might remain hidden forever.

You just knew what was going to happen when vacation was announced. I don’t mind that either I only had trouble with so many moving parts. It became a little convoluted and I actually quit reading for a bit. However, the story did sit with me so I’m guessing it was a me thing. These authors are exceptional in pulling off a story like this. Well all the stories really. I love the interaction with Olivia and Brock and the love they show without it being in your face. I don’t want romance but this is not like that. I really enjoy these two and hate I’m reaching the end. I hope it’s not an ending but an I will see them later type series. I haven’t read anything at all about this series as a whole and don’t even read the ‘book cover’ intro. If you are hesitant about this series I suggest just starting at one and give it a chance. They are hard to put down once you start.
This became one of my favorite series from the beginning, and the stories keep getting better and better with each new release. This was definitely one of their more complex cases, especially since they weren't even supposed to be working! Lol! With many surprising twists, danger at every turn, unexpected allies, and so much more, it's certainly not a story to be missed! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
I only wish that it wasn't so long between releases, but the new stories are worth it.
Brock and Olivia land in Mexico for a well deserved beach vacation. However, they don’t even get to unpack their bags when Olivia finds a body in the closet. Needless to say all the craziness starts, it’s not only a dead body but it’s a U.S.Senator. They are assigned to work the investigation with the Mexican authorities. Of course they don’t have any real authority since they are in Mexico. Sometimes it’s hard to keep all the players straight but it will definitely keep you turning the pages.
The Fatal Getaway (Olivia Knight FBI Mystery Thriller Book 18)
This book was so beyond amazing and kind of sad. I cried, I laughed, and I was scared. Only Olivia and Brock could go on vacation and find a dead body in their hotel closet. So of course, they get hauled down to the police station, and spend all night in an interrogation room. Only this time they are being grilled. It just gets crazier from there, the murder victim is a US Senator. So now their vacation just became a work assignment, but without FBI backup. I can't wait to read the next book.
Olivia and Brock can't ever get a break from criminals. So many people involved, I needed a cheat sheet to keep track. Criminals in the Government, what a shocker 🙄. I'm very happy that Mateo was accepted into his father's family, even though dad was a criminal. Seems like everyone will be safe at home for the Holidays.
I can't even imagine what you have planned for the next book.

I love Olivia and Brock. I gave the book 3 stars because of that but for the first time ever it was slow reading. I normally can’t put the books down. This one took me weeks to get through. It just seemed to drag on forever. Finally finished it. Hoping the next one is better
While mourning about not having a gun- it was strange never for them to pick up a gun from any cartel members they ran into that were armed after they knocked them out Emotional though unbelievable Disappointing Glad I didn’t pay for book
I just recently started reading again and found you. We need more books. Olivia and Brook are amazing together.need to start a family life with a couple of kids and a dog. Now I'm reading about other fbi agents and wow again.
Thank you again and again for another addition! Looking forward to the next chapter in the series! I highly recommend her books. She keeps you reading and guessing the outcome!
As like all your books this proved to be just as great. Please don't quit writing these great mysteries! They keep me up nights reading about the adventures! Thank you!
