One of the worst things I've read all year.

This story was only 22 pages and I almost DNFed. So. Many. Issues. The prose was purple, the logistics made no sense, and the story wasn't interesting. I'll just have to explain the rest with a few quotes. I really think they speak for themselves.

He turned his head as I turned mine. I hadn't gotten a good look at him since we boarded in New York. A swarm of butterflies took wing from inside my belly as the sea of white gave way to endless blue with startling flecks of green.

Purple-licious.

Again he kissed me, warmly, passionately, deeply, our tongues doing an oral tango as his hand found my proffered prick.

The next one is one of my favorites. The two guys are in a airplane bathroom- keep that in mind while reading...

"Closer," I grunted, legs trembling as my prick shot, a massive load of come slicking through the air before hitting the water below in several loud plops. He tossed his head back a moment later, and I watched in rapt delight as his cock erupted, thick in my grip, a torrent of come that pooled with my own in the azure waters below.

The "azure waters"??? Are they talking about the airplane toilet water? Gross!

I removed my mouth. His cock now dripping with spit as it swayed there, he parted his meaty thighs and lifted them up again. His asshole winked out, all come hither like. Naturally, I came yon. I smacked the head of my cock against his waiting port. Down dripped the Purell...

Purell? As lube?! That stuff evaporates in seconds, by design! And doesn't that HURT? There is so much wrong in that quote.

I don't want to be mean, but this book was 22 pages of strangely written sex. And not a real virgin to be seen. Drat! I'd pass on this one.

No virgins were harmed in the writing of this book!

To be clear: There ARE no virgins in this books.

But there are two guys who meet on a plane, give each other hand jobs in the bathroom, spend a night fucking, and then go their separate ways. Maybe.

There was no character development of any kind here. I skimmed the sex scene. *shakes head sadly* Which is practically unheard of. But why bother when it's just like shake, rinse, repeat?

I need more in my holiday stories: PLOT, creativity, interesting MCs, feel-goodness. Cock is all well and good, but it just doesn't cut it anymore.

I have a quote though; do with it what you will:
His asshole winked out, all come hither like. Naturally, I came yon. I smacked the head of my cock against his waiting port. Down dripped Purell. In slid my prick.

PURELL! Cause nothing says romance like an asshole on fire.

It's never a good sign when twenty-two pages is waaaay too long. No. No, that's not good at all.
Then again, as I try and find any highlights, I'm thankful it was only twenty-two pages.

I had numerous problems with this kinky tale but my biggest was the sex. To be blunt, it was icky.
Considering the story was essentially two sex scenes, this is a major problem.
There are some descriptions that I find unpleasant during nekkid time and if piss-slit would have been included, all of them (plus a few new additions) would have been checked off the list. I could tell you some of the shuddering moments, but I'd rather not relive them.
Next, the writing.
Can something be underwritten and overwritten at the same time? Apparently, it can.
Finally, the story was hardly a story.
To give you a run down....
The Virgin? Was only the airlines.
The MC's? Two strangers who exchange handsies in the bathroom. Things are-a-plopping....it was anything but hot.
Flights are delayed and on their layover round two occurs- it was even worse.
Frankly I'm shocked a condom was included here. Naturally hand sanitizer is equal to lubrication as it is in protection, right?
Sorry...that was cheeky of me.
I don't know what else to say...I know one man's trash is another man's treasure. Who knows, maybe this will sparkle for someone, but that someone wasn't me.

Ok...yeah. Um. Let's just say that this author really really like describing things. Mostly to the detriment of the story.

And 'turgid tool' sounds like something you really need to see your doctor about.

That's not a Christmas or holiday story at all. Two guys meet in an airplane and have lots of sex and that's it... the only Christmas related thing is that they're both going to meet their families over the holidays but the story could have happened at any time of the year.... I skimmed a lot while reading this which is sad considering it's only a short story...

From page 2, I was checking on my ipod to see how many pages there was left... and I did this quite often. It didn't work for me on so many levels : I thought the writing was crass, nothing subtle, a lot of badly chosen figures of speech especially the description of Lance eyes over and over and over again; the chemistry between the characters is nonexistent; the mile high club thing is not original. I always try to find something positive to say about a story and I'm hard press to find something about The Virgin Miracle... it's very short? That's the thing about the Advent Calendar some days you have shorts you love and some days the short isn't for you, this one wasn't for me.

Mediocre handjobs in a cramped airplane bathroom? Sex on a airport conference room table? Yeah... I'm not exactly shocked that Hallmark hasn't made a Christmas movie yet that includes these romantic gems.

Not really my kind of story - too little story. I got no feeling or insight to either characters in this short word count that was mostly focused on the sex.

I suppose being as familiar as I am with Rob Rosen's work probably helped me to take some of this short story with tongue in cheek, as I believe he meant it. 'The Virgin Miracle' is a story included in Dreamspinner Press's 2014 Advent Calendar 'Celebrate!' This is the story of two men who get incredibly lucky flying on Christmas Eve. Who knows whether finding each other is their own miracle?

Christmas Eve, Virgin Atlantic flight to London. 36A strikes up a conversation with 36B. Which leads to a hot, mutual masturbation scene in the bathroom, á la Mile-High Club. When they reach Heathrow, Bruce's flight to Barcelona is delayed until the following morning, and Lance's to Paris is cancelled, with no flight until two days later. No problem. Lance flies so much, he's a member of Virgin Atlantic's frequent flier program, which allows him, plus one, access to the club room. Where else can two guys with great chemistry, get free drinks, and a locked conference room to spend Christmas Eve together?

Even with all of its quirkiness, I enjoyed this short. Maybe because the ending left me with the prospects for a future between these two men. And there's no getting around it, I can think of worse ways to spend a layover in an airport. Thanks, Rob, it was fun.

What a weird story! This story is extremely short and to be honest, I hardly know what I can write about it.

This story is not really a story, but a summary of two man meeting, having sex and feeling chemistry.

I don’t think I ever read so many “different” euphemisms and descriptions of sex in one story let alone in 22 short pages. The strangest words are used to describe a sexual action or to describe a specific body part of the male person.

To be honest it is hard to find something positive. The mention of family is sweet and the way both main characters fall for each other could be considered cute.

Because of the Christmas spirit I will be more generous.

This is definitely one of the more, um, unusual stories I have read this year. Not because of the characters(who are horny as heck) or the plot (which is simple yet sort of fun), but because of the style. I have read several other books by this author, and he tends to err on the side of humor, so I will err on the side of assuming that is what he is doing here. Mind you, I have no proof for that, and I reread the story just to look for it, so all I have to go on is a gut feeling.

I guess the best way to summarize what I think this story is: over-the-top erotica that doesn't take itself too seriously. I mean, two strangers stranded at an airport for a layover ending up in a conference room of the VIP lounge for some intimate fun? You have to admit, that is pretty hilarious!

The title is a fun play on words, with its reference to the Christian virgin Mary, or it could be a reference to the airline Virgin Atlantic and the miracle of meeting a hot guy and having some fun with him. I think it works both ways and did make me chuckle.

All in all: if you enjoy humor and heat in the same story, if you don't mind a bit of (very) purple prose, and if you have always wondered why in the world people need conference rooms in airport lounges - here is your answer!

This novella is about two MC heading to Europe for the holidays both having a lay-over in London. Bruce has been reading for the first few hours of the flight and decides to introduce himself to his seatmate. When he looks up, he notices how attractive and attracted he is to him. Once Bruce is able to ask the seat mates name Lance and Bruce have an instant connection, laughing and bonding over names and moms. Little while later after talking and getting a little friendly with knee rubs and such Bruce heads to the bathroom and Lance follows. Once they land they say Good-bye. Only to find out both of the flights have been delayed. And they meet up again for round two.
This is a short, to the point story about two men that find an attraction and act on it. It’s well written and got some great scenes between the two. I just wish it had been a bit longer. I’ll be looking up more from this author.

There are short stories (fully developed stories told with a few words) and then there are long fantasies. This is another long fantasy.

Though I appreciated some of the funny lines and creative descriptions used to convey this fantasy of hooking up with a stranger on a trans-Atlantic flight, there was no real story here.

Some of the things that happened had me scratching my head in confusion. Hand jobs over the toilet in an airplane bathroom? I can’t even really picture the physics of that.

Using Purell as lube? Wouldn’t that hurt? How is that slippery?

Upgrading a stranger’s ticket to first class and booking a seat next to him after a snowstorm has grounded a bunch of flights at Christmas? I don’t even know how you’d access the other person’s information.

So, while I can appreciate what the author was trying to do, I don’t think it worked very well.

I give this 2 of 5 stars for colorful descriptions and interesting ideas.
