Celestial Bound: Celestion Wolves Book 3

Rate this book
Freedom has only ever been a dream . It was never meant to be a byproduct of being kidnapped by the Skulchers, because escaping their clutches doesn't leave me with much hope. And when we crash land on an uncharted planet, I think maybe freedom will come in only one form, the one I've always longed death. Instead, we're rescued by the wolf-shifting locale and brought to their primitive home, safe and sound.

When the other human women go with the alpha on a rescue mission, I'm left behind with the pack's sunny beta B, Brex. He doesn't understand my past and the dark cloud it hangs over me. I'd prefer to be left alone, but he's always there. The only thing worse than his constantly wagging tails is the permanent smile plastered on his face, and the way his dimple makes my sour mood disappear.

Freedom was never meant to be an option for me, but now that it's here in the form of a strong, tall, adoring blue alien... it's better than I ever dreamed.

CELESTIAL BOUND is a grumpy/sunshine alien romance, where he's the sunshine and she's the grump. Book 3 in the CELESTION WOLVES series, it is best read after CELESTIAL WOLVES and CELESTIAL MATE.

Gaaaahhhh!!! That epilogue!!! I definitely need to know what happens next and to know which human the epilogue was referring to! That said, this was such a great addition to the series! While the other books were a little more spice heavy, this book definitely was more focused on the plot, pack culture and character growth.

From the start, it's obvious that Melanie and Brex are destined for each other. Brex seriously wins the award for being the most patient, sunshine, golden retriever character you'll ever meet. He kind-of reminded me of Doug from UP!😅 He's also a hopelessly optimistic person, which makes him so loveable!

Melanie on the other hand is a total grump with some serious Eeyore energy. She brought all the doom & gloom energy and was very unapproachable and prickly. That said, the more you read and get to know her, the more you really feel for her and her past. I loved that Melanie wanted to be a better version of herself, even when she was unsure of how to go about it. Brex was such a steadfast presence for her. I absolutely loved how he did everything he could think of to bring her happiness and comfort.

Moving onto their romance, it was really sweet to see their connection bloom and grow. While this book wasn't very spicy, it did have at least one spicy scene. I think it was pretty impactful too, given how much their connection was steadily growing up until that point.

The other thing I want to mention is how much I loved getting to see pack life and culture in this book! The author really got into the details of what day to day life looks like for them, which I thought was pretty cool!

Overall, I'd say this was light on the spicy, heavy on the culture and plot, with some heartwarming romance mixed in!

Side Note: I'd recommend checking the TW's before diving into this one. While it didn't bother me, Melanie does deal with depression and some darker thoughts. There's also mention of human slavery on a moon.

Still solid. I like Melanie more than I thought I would. Def more than I liked Lisa. Brex is a total golden retriever, of course. I did not realize this series only has 3.5 books out so far though and I am so bummed that I can’t read Raegan’s yet! Her epilogue was such a tease and I don’t even have a title or release date yet for her book!

Overall- the spice is super mild. Closed door mild except for 1 scene each book and in this book it wasn’t even a full sex scene, just the foreplay. The series is much more focused on the overall story of finding and rescuing all the girls and the upcoming clash of the Stygians (I assume anyway) and the Skulchers. That part of the story definitely has me hooked.

Another great book in this series! I really felt for the FMC as she went on a healing journey. MMC was such an easy character to love! Reverse grump/sunshine trope. Looking forward to the next book release!
