A.J.'s books are almost impossible to put aside. In the 14th Nightshade book, Eleri and Donovan find that no matter where they go the Dauphine sisters seem to have already been there. Searching for information about Donovan's family, they head to India. They find friends there from another book in the series who have new friends and they all end up helping Eleri and Donovan. However they find that the Dauphine sisters, who have Donovan's brother Bodhi with them, are there as well. Somehow they are being magically stalked. They do find Donovan's family but end up having a huge battle against the Dauphines and Miranda Industries to protect Donovan's ancestor's village and an ancient and powerful burial site. The action is non-stop and now I can't wait to read book #15!

Explains a few things

Donovan finds his roots whether he really wants to or not. India is mystery enough without the Dauphine sister waging war. Brother Bhodi is more evil than we knew...
Couldn't put it down!

This book takes Eleri and Donovan to India looking for answers about Donovan’s past. They run into old acquaintances, and new and old nemeses. What they find will delight, surprise, and have you wanting for more. Donovan will need to make some tough decisions and face some inner demons. Another AJ book you will not be able to put down.

This book marks the 14th foray into the world of NightShade!
Donovan is chasing his family history to India and you know Eleri is along for the ride. After all, she owes him this.
It makes the journey a little more ominous that Stacey and Lindsay (and some unknown newcomers) are already on the continent, and have something they want to hand off to Eleri and Donovan.
When Bodhi appears, all bets are off. Is he the key to Donovan's own history? or is everything he tells them a lie?

This thrilling chapter in the Night Shade saga sends Eleri and Donavan on a desperate quest through India to find Donavan's brother and a trio of witches. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they run into a couple of extraordinary people from their past. Amidst the unfolding chaos, Donavan also makes a surprising discovery about his own extended family, adding additional depth to their already perilous adventure.

It all culminates in a high-stakes confrontation to prevent the witches from desecrating an ancient burial ground and stealing its powerful artifacts and a standoff where Donavan comes face-to-face with his brother, bringing years of unresolved tension to a gripping head. This captivating blend of adventure, magic, and familial drama, leaves you screaming for Eleri to stop playing nice and finally take the gloves off.

Snake in the Grave
I often wonder where A. j.Scudiere gets ideas for books. Books that I love so much, the NightShade series is my favorite series of all times. I have been reading all my 73 years, thank you AJ. Poor ole Donavan trying to get information on his family. His search added by dear friend and Nightshade FBI colleague. Together they are looking for his brother, but always find out that they are always late in their hunt. (Seems someone very powerful always beats them to any information.) Getting paranoid, Eleri try’s to keep them informing being seen as they travel to India. Is Donavan. More than he seems, or even knows? Can Eleri keep them safe? Do they have any Nightshade friends left? Love this book. If you haven’t started the nightshade series yet you are missing wonderful, strange, people and events.

AJ's 14th NightShade book finds us in India with Eleri and Donovan who are searching for information about Donovan's family. While exploring the country, the pair find that not only are they being followed by Donovan's estranged brother Bodhi, but also by some old friends (and new!) that end up helping more than Eleri or Donovan would have ever thought.
AJ's books tend to have you hit the ground running, but you never want to stop reading because the characters and the situations they find themselves in are truly works of art.
Really glad things turned out the way they did for Donovan...but I feel like it's not the end of that side of the story either. Guess I'll just have to wait for the next book!

AJ has crafted an exceptional novel that initially unfolds with a measured pace but rapidly transforms into a gripping narrative. The intense confrontations between good and evil propel the story forward, creating an electrifying reading experience that keeps readers thoroughly engaged. Despite the temptation to continue reading late into the night, the book's compelling plot makes it challenging to set aside. The author's masterful storytelling maintains an air of suspense, consistently surprising readers and preventing predictability. The intricate narrative and skillful writing have undoubtedly secured my unwavering admiration.

Snake in the Grass is the 14th in the series. I have read all the books. You need to read them to get full enjoyment in the series.
This one Eleri and Donovan are going after Bodie, Heath’s evil brother. They chase him to Inda. Donovan is given artifacts to guard, which brings old bad guys and a new group to chase them. Donovan finds his relatives and the secret that is his past The story is fast, and they encounter witches, and they are in terrible danger.
Another great installment – their bond is strengthened. I do miss Christine.
Highly recommended.

We finally get Donovan's history! This book was a little different than most of the series. I would compare it to Garden of Bone, but with Donovan instead of Eleri. It takes place in India and really explains a lot of what most of us have been wanting to know for 13 books. There is much of what is expected from a NightShade book, with some surprise appearances from old acquaintances and some new ones. Action, intrigue and magic are abundant. Definitely not one to be missed. Especially if you've read the rest of the series. I'm looking forward to the next book!

As unputdownable as ever! I usually reread the entire series before reading the next installment of the Nightshade books, but this time I just couldn't wait. Snake In The Grave is as good as all the other Nightshade books and continues the story of Donnovan and Eleri to a nail biting conclusion. Now, all I have to do is wait for yet another year before the next one!
