I just finished Inside Broken and I enjoyed it. It's a biker book so I'm all there! Talon is in prison and he is now out and trying to get his club back into order. The Devils Call MC is right now without a president since he was in prison but his brother Layne had run it in his absence. Things are crazy with drugs and no directions. The only thing that makes sense to him is Everly. She is a bartender at the club that is also used by the brothers. She is tired of being used but has nothing to go back to. All she knows is that there is a connection with Talon but also has feelings for Layne. This ends in a cliffy but leaves me wanting to know more!

I enjoyed the story. I'm all for bikers so the grittier then better. I liked the plot and the characters my only problem is that I wanted more of a backstory but I have a feeling that we will get more from how it ended. There is definitely gonna be some hostility between Layne and Talon when it comes to the club and to Everly. Who will win the club and her heart? We gotta wait and see!

Outlaw Justice…Outlaw Survival

That’s the state of Devil Call MC with its president, Talon, in prison and its other members succumbing to the dark side of a motorcycle club when there’s no one to lay the law down and dictate what actions to take. And this is the place, the position Everly finds herself in as a girl to be used by the club members simply because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But things are about to change as Talon readies to end his 18 month stint in prison and reclaim his position as head of Devil Call MC, taking back what’s rightly his and cleaning up everything that went to hell due to his absence. And, since he gets what he wants in his club, besides taking back the presidency and putting Layne back in his rightful place as second in command, he wants Everly as well, which further complicates the situation because it seems Layne wants her as well; he just hasn’t claimed what he’s wanted and Talon sure as hell isn’t going to back down now that she’s on his radar.

Inside Broken is the perfect title for Talon and Everly’s story. Both of them have pasts that have left them fractured, and the ordeals they’ve gone through, especially Talon, have hardened them and shaped them in a way that is still not quite clear. The situation within the Devil Call MC is also splintered, and it’s going to be some time before all of it gets smoothed out, especially with the further complications that are presented in the text.

The first book in Ana Fawkes’ Devil Call MC series sets up everything that’s to come for the club and its members. It’s too soon to tell how everything is going to play out, but one thing is for sure, with the club the way it is, the state of Layne and Talon’s relationship, and the about of people gunning for Talon and his club members, a shit storm is headed their way and no one is safe from its wrath.

Overall, I enjoyed Talon and Everly’s story, but there’s a lot of information left unsaid about the main characters and their background and pasts, which makes it a bit difficult to connect with them. A few times in the story, I wanted to understand why Talon and Layne were acting the way they were and even why Layne was so hands off with Everly, but it’s not provided. I’m sure readers will get this information as the story continues, but without the setup at the beginning, it’s hard to ascertain the whys and hows of the story.

Does not having this information turn me off of the story? No. I’m still intrigued by Talon, Layne, and Everly and the battle that appears to be beginning on more than one front, and I’ll be delving into book two to get my answers. I just hope I don’t have to wait too long.

contemporary MC-biker read. The pro is that I appreciated the world building. The con is the overall feel of the story was too vague with multiple open ended storyline possibilities that end with a cliffhanger to be continued....

Interesting, with the wow factor! Couldn't put it down, so was very enjoyable for a first preliminary MC read. Liked how Ana W. Fawkes built up the characters and the plot line of the story. Can't wait to see where she takes us next

Real. Edgy. Sexy. Raw.

This book was really good, edgy and totally unexpected. It was rather short but... it packed quite a punch that had me reeling at the very end. And that ending... left me having a WTF moment and wanting so much more. I will admit I am a needy reader who needs answers immediately but I don't mind it when the wait is short. And I have to say I love it when authors surprise me. I loved the twist to a MC romance and this is the type of book that reminds me why I should read this genre.

This is Talon and Everly's story. Talon is fresh out of prison and on a mission.... to take back his club and get rid of the chaos that has been ensuing. His brother, Layne, has been running it, if you can call it that, while he was serving his sentence. When he sees Everly, he knows he has to have her no matter if she is on the back of his brother's bike. Everly is part of the club, is used by them, and works for them. She feels a connection to Talon instantly, but she has been protected by Layne for a while now. Though it has never been more than that, she feels a connection to him also. She wants to be claimed. Will Talon be able to get his club back and possibly the girl? Will Everly be able to handle Talon and all that comes with him? I cannot wait to find out more in the next installment!

I loved Talon. He was raw, gritty and such a dangerous edge to him that made his so swoonworthy. I also liked Everly. I want to hold judgment until I can delve deeper into these two. I can't wait for more of these two (errr maybe three... we shall see) in the next installment.

Intrigued. Confused. Needy.

Three things that came to my mind all throughout my read of this book.

Intrigued: What the hell is up with Layne? What really happened with Layne and Talon? What will happen with the Devil Call MC?

Confused: Why was Everly still in the Devil Call’s unsavory lair? Why did she want to get chosen? Why not leave?

Needy: I need more information. I feel like the story was too short for me. We jumped right into a few days before Talon was released from jail. I need more background on the motorcycle club. I need more on what brought Everly to Devil Call MC. I just need more. I wish this book was much longer.

Talon: Not sure how I feel about him yet. He’s headstrong. The epitome of an Alpha male. He acted first then thought about his actions afterwards. He’s strong. A no nonsense type of man. Oh, and he’s sexy.

Everly: She’s drawn to Talon before she even met him. She never left Layne and Devil Call for some reason. She clearly has some issues that she had not worked through yet. She’s needy. She’s jealous. She’s confused. She’s messed up. Random: I thought it was funny when she was beating up the other whores in the club.

My ratings: 4 stars

Time it took to read: 1.5 days

If you are missing your Jax and his Sons of Anarchy, this book is for you. Talon kind of reminds me of Jax. Quick read. You’ll be hungry for more. A good start in this series. Can’t wait for the next book to find out what happens next for Talon and Everly. P.S. I was more curious about the inner struggles of the MC. Call it SOA withdrawal.

P.S.S. I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Talon just got out of prison and wants his club back, the Devil Call MC. The club is disorganized since he went to prison and the person that is keeping it together is Layne, who's been acting as the clubs President.

Everly is with the club because she needs its protection. She feels a pull towards Layne, the man that has been protecting her, and Talon, the mysterious biker that is getting out of prison. She wants to be claimed, because she knows that way she will be always protected.

When they see each other for the first time, Everly and Talon are immediately attracted to each other. After one night together, they form a connection, but will it be strong enough to keep them together with all the problems that the club is facing?

I really enjoyed this book. It has lots of action, lots of steamy scenes and lots of mystery.
Talon is a sexy alpha male, very possessive and aggressive. He tends to act before he thinks.
Everly is a beautiful young woman that works as a bartender at the club and also services the club's members when they want. She is confused about her feeling for Layne and Talon.

I can't wait to read more about Everly, Talon, Layne and the Devil Call MC and know why Talon went to prison, why Everly wants to be claimed and why Layne didn't claim Everly.

This is the first book I read written by Ana Fawkes and I can't wait to read more!

I received an advanced copy of Inside Broken (A Devil Call MC Book) for an honest review. This is book one of the MC series and it starts with Talon, just out of prison. He was the President of the Devil Call MC. While he was gone, a brother named Layne took his patch as President. Talon wants his club back. It's in chaos with drugs involved. But at what cost? Is there also a personal battle brewing between these two?

Everly is beautful, just looking to survive and be protected. She works as a bartender for the guys of the MC, and they use her as they see fit. Layne seems to be her protector, and although there appears to be an attraction between both, he will not act on it.

Talon and Everly have an instant attraction. A deep connection is formed after one intense night of sex. But does Everly still have feelings for Layne?

This book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger. A bit of a wow! I am absolutely desperate for book two. I cannot wait to see where this series goes! It kept me reading straight through until I finished it. It was action packed. Raw, intense, gritty, HOT sex. Everything you want in a great MC read. The storyline definitely kept moving and was fast paced. Talon was extremely alpha. Everly is no pushover. We will definitely learn more about their backstories in the next book. Oh and Layne, I definitely want to know his story. I give this book 5 stars. I enjoyed it quite much!!!! Don't make us wait too long for book 2!

3.5 Stars

Devil Call MC is without a president since Talon went to prison. There is chaos happening within the club. Layne tried to stand in as president but the brothers are still acting without a leader. Everly who has been working at the club, hasn't been claimed by any of the brothers, but has had her eye on Layne hoping he would make her his, that is until she meets Talon. Will Talon give her the protection she wants by being claimed? Can Everly handle a man like Talon?

I like the premise of Inside Broken. It was a quick read but I wanted more. More character development, more back story. I did find a few errors that caused me to interrupt my reading flow to reread sentences to figure out what the author was trying to say I am enjoying the rough side of Talon. I want to know more about Layne and what his deal is with Everly. Can't wait to see if book two answers any of these questions or the others I have.

This read was strictly filler material while I waited to pick up my current paperback again and enjoy it.

I normally love and tolerate Motorcycle Club reads but this story really is one big degrading to women, and in fact degrading to men, example of what do not like about the life or the people who embrace it.

Fiction or not this book has some true facts in it, enough of them to wake you up to the reality that life in a Club really is not all sunshine and roses.

When finished actually shook my head that read it all the way through, kept hoping for something to redeem my opinion but when Talon got out of prison to be honest it went from bad to worse not only for the Club but for Everly as well.

Why anyone actually applauded or endorsed this brand of brutal male dominance over a woman is beyond me, also beyond me is why a beautiful woman like Everly who was not in the least happy with this lifestyle stayed in it and than decided she and Talon were a couple based upon his choosing her to claim over the other women who serviced the club members.

All in all not for me.

Disclosure: This ebook was provided by the author in exchange for an HONEST and not necessarily positive review.

This first book left a lot of questions, which I sincerely hope will be addressed in the next book. If you don’t do well with cliffhangers than I suggest you wait until the series is complete as this book was left on such a huge one I wanted to throw my e-reader. I fell in love with Talon and Everly. I am intrigued and want to learn more about them both why is she at the club, why did Talon go to prison for someone else. There are so many questions concerning their past which not having them addressed is somewhat frustrating. Along with getting the story of the mysterious Layne and finding out what his deal and story is.

Will Talon regain control of his club before all the members go completely rogue. Will Layne either admit he has feelings for Everly or move on. What lies ahead for Talon and Everly?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Overall, I would recommend this book to MC lovers and would give it 4.5 stars.

I was gifted this book by the author Ana W. Fawkes for an honest review.

Talon and Everly are two souls very broken and they must find and repair themselves before they can move on, but I think they can do this for each other. This will start with Talon's confession of his past.

I was very disappointed while reading the beginning of this story because there was no story line at all, just a lot of useless violence and sex. Which was a surprise since I have read other books by this author and have always liked them. At the end though I realized that there is a story to follow in the coming books in this series, which I am looking forward to, because now Ms. Fawkes has captured my attention and I know it has to be good.

Looking forward to reading more about Talon and Everly and how Talon will fix the broken Devil Call MC

Thanks Wicked Reads for a free book to read and review.

Talon has spent the last 18 months in jail while his Devil Call MC falls apart. When he gets out and gets back to his club everything is out of sorts. The past eighteen months the club has been held together by Layne doing the presidents part. Then there's Everly, club hottie that wants to be an old lady but no ones saying how she got there or why.

I wanted to love this book but it was missing the bad ass men I really like. You know the ones that say a full paragraph with a look and a word. This book had good one liners but I'm afraid the characters fell a bit short of the mark. It was easily read but I wasn't as entertained as I usually am with an MC book. Overall three stars of entertainment.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This story is a really good beginning to an MC series. In this book we meet Talon and Everly, Talon is just about to be released from prison and Everly is at the club house for protection. Part of the reason that Everly is there just doesn't make sense, from what she tells Talon she shouldn't be in any danger but she is there. When Talon is released he takes one look at her and knows she must be his.

This is a very short story that does end on a cliff hanger but over all this is a book that I would recommend.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

This short read introduces us to a new MC and a slew of new characters. I am hopeful that the next book enlightens the reader on some of the missing pieces, because currently there is so much unknown. There is a lot of violence, and some sex, but I didn't feel the badassness that I expect from MC books.

Off to a real good start

I'm sure that this series is going to be a really good one. Not too much detail was revealed in is first installment about why Talon did what he did to get himself 18 months in prison. Everly has a story of her own, also not yet revealed. Layne is a complete mystery and I'm sure as the series progresses, we will learn what the distance is between Talon and Layne. Love MC reads and I'm looking forward to seeing this whole story unfold.

Loved this story. Talon when to prison to protect a friend. When he gets out, he sees Everly on the back of Layne's bike and he is instantly in lust and has to have her. Having her might ruin his friendship and destroy his MC, but he is in control, he is the President and nothing can stop him!

Talon is an asshole. How can she want him after he chooses 2 club whores to fuck right in front of her and takes them to his room? She's desperate. I had no respect for either one. What's the deal with Layne?

I will say this I need vol.2 like yesterday. From the first page your like okay were is this going because you meet Talon who is in jail about to be released after serving a 18 months sentence a crime he took the blame not only for his club but for a friend. Then we meet Everly who is a sweet butt but she is wanting for someone to claim her but she not your normal Sweet Butt she has the protection of Layne who is the unofficial acting president of the Devils Call Mc.

But as soon as Talon released shit hits the fan. From rival mc, drugs in his club and who is the acting president of his club. He needs to fight for his brothers, for his club and for the girl.

"They all came at me at once. We hugged and damnit, my soul felt alive again. Deep down, the club was a brother hood."- Talon

I really liked Ana story of Everly and Talon. We saw a different side of MC book. We usually read about Sweet Butts but I personally haven't read a book from the POV of one. Evely is under the club protection because of a fight she saw and Layne took her under his protection.

I was also curious and I hope we get to see in the next installments the relationship between Layne and Everly. There situation is a weird one there not lovers, but he watches over her and takes care of her. He lets her ride on the back of his bike but hasn't claimed her. He is really cryptic about why he takes care of her. She torn between Layne and Talon at first.

We see Talon who is the former club president but when he goes in to serve his time his patch is stripped and taken over by Layne. But once released they need a club vote. But during his time his club is crumbling Layne tried to hold down the fort. This is also a situation you don't see in many MC books. There no true leadership and there a struggle between the two men to see who going to take the reigns now that Talon is free.

I truly look forward to the next volume in the series. With my kindle showing I was almost close to being done with the book I was no!!! There so many questions left unanswered and then she the last line is in the whole book is a huge bomb shell.

We start off this story with Talon's last few days in prison but now he is out and trying to get his club back into order. The Devils Call MC have been on the edge of destruction the only person that has been holding them together well Talon has been in prison is Layne, Talon's motorcycle brother. He has been sitting in Talon's spot as acting Prez. Now that Talon is out he wants things back in working order, but he keeps running into snags, one of the biggest is Everly.

Everly has come to MC for protection and has stayed for Layne and this mystery Talon that she hears so much about, she wants to be claimed and know that she will always be safe and protected. She hoped that Layne would do that, but he never seemed interested and when he did, he would just walk away and leave Everly standing there and so confused. When Everly lays eyes on Talon sparks go flying and connections our made and promises are said, but can they all be kept?

I truly enjoyed reading Talon and Everly story. I was truly caught up from the moment I started ,to the last page of this book. The characters are well developed and you can truly feel a solid connection to each one of them, I know sometimes when you're doing a series or a short you can leave bits and pieces out, but I feel like the author did a great job and laying out a basics for each personality. I love the suspense that's building inside this story line and it will most definitely bring me back for more! My only negative remark would be the editing, needs a bit more attention. Lots of wrong words used.I noticed that during one of the scenes the POV was Talon talking and doing, then it just changed to Everly then right back to Talon. Things like that make the flow of the book difficult for the reader. Besides the editing the book was fantastic, and the sex was hot, steamy and oh so naughty just the way I like it! I can't wait to read more from this author! Please don't make us wait too long for book 2.. I need answers!!!

I have had this book for a while and just did not have a chance to read it, I always put ARCs first above my personal reading. If you would of know it was this so good I would of squeezed it in during the ARCs I read. The author done an amazing job. I always take a moment and read the reviews before reading a book. Though I always take in mind that each person has their own opinion when reading a book. To me it did not matter that Talon’s past was not covered thoroughly. I did not need to know what brought him to the “Club”. The author done an amazing job of painting an image of how each character was.

Everly was a girl that found herself in a motorcycle club called the Devil Call MC. They were a bunch of bad boys that people feared and for good reason. It was very important to Everly to be claimed by one of these guys. To be claimed meant so much. It would mean protection, place to sleep, place to bath, and unless told other wise one guy to mess around with. So this security was everything to her. Everly found herself longing for two different men. Layne who protected Everly most of the time and a man she never met, Talon the President of the Devil Call MC. Which one would claim her? Which one would win her heart? Would Everly have to spend her life passed around from one guy to the other? Want to know? Read the book.

Talon found himself spending 18 months in prison. Talon was already a real bad boy. A guy you would be smart to fear and prison can change a person. I do think the author done a great job portraying the image of what a prison can be like. Talon finds himself out and faced with a mess to clean up. Plus he sees Everly. He has to wonder why Layne has not claimed her. Will Layne and Talon have to fight it out for Everly? Will the club continue to fall apart or will Talon be able to clean it up.

When you get to the end of this book you will scream, “NO she did not end it there” I am so going to have to find time to finish this series. I have to know what happens next. Yip, I am hooked.

Hang on tight for this fast paced MC story that will leave you hanging and wanting more. Ana does a great job at giving you just enough info to have you hooked and flying through the pages trying to find the answers , FYI you won't get them in this book !! Better luck in book 2 , MAYBE !! My only complaint is that I honestly can't decide if I love Talon or Layne more !!

Everly has been bartending at the clubhouse for the Devil Call MC for some time now. She has met them all but the infamous club leader Talon , he is in prison and possibly getting out soon. Everly has been used by many of the members but never by the one she wants. Layne is good to Everly , he protects her and makes her feel safe. She wishes he would claim her as his but he won't even use her like the others. What is his story and what is the deal....

Talon has a bit of a surprise during his last days in prison and now out and back with his club he is finding out they have been in utter chaos while he was gone. Not happy that Layne has stepped up for him and not happy with the knowledge of drugs and other bad news going on with another MC in the area. Right from the start we get to see these boys in action and it is HOT and all that an MC book should be made of !! The second Talon sees Everly he wants her , of course the typical biker he is there is a little game being played. Things heat up with Talon and Everly and it is great BUT Layne is never far from her thoughts or mine !!

The last scene , the last paragraph heck the last line of the book....OMG you did not just leave us with that...WOW

Book 2 is looking to be promising and I cannot wait to find out the answers to all my questions and hopefully get some back story on Talon ,Layne and Everly !!

***A gifted copy was provided by the author for an honest review******

This book is so real, the characters are untamed, fierece.

This is Talon and Everly's story. Talon is fresh out of prison and on a quest. To take back his club, get his title of MC President back, and eliminate the chaos that has been subsequent. Now, his brother has been trying to run the club for Talon but he hasn’t done a good job. When he lays eyes on Everly, he knows he has to have her no matter what, doesn’t matter if she is on the back of his brother's bike.

Everly is part of the club, has been used by them, and works for them. She feels a kindred feeling to Talon immediately, but she has been guarded by Layne for some time now. Though they have never been more than that, she feels drawn to him also. She wants to be taken by one of them. Will Talon be able to get his club and title back and possibly the girl that haunts his dreams? Will Everly be able to manage Talon and all that is him and comes with him ?

This was a fantastic story and the layers that are building into the story have me wanting to know more about the key players. It is a great triangle and I want to know what is going to happen because I know things are going to get really nasty and way out of hand. This story ended on a cliffhanger. They all are very interesting and have complex sides. I feel for Everly because she has feelings for Talon and she has feelings for Layne. I can tell her feelings are a lot deeper for Talon. I cant wait for book 2 to shed some light on why Talon went to prison for Layne . This is a great story and recommends this story to read.

Manda's 3 Star Review

The only thing Talon can think about after getting released from prison is getting back to his club. Before going to prison Talon was the president of the Devil Call MC while inside he relied on his brother Layne to take care of the club, but now its time for him to return to his rightful place. As soon as he steps outside of the prison the problems with the MC become apparent and not only that but he also comes face to face with the beautiful Everly. He has no idea what her story is but he can't deny that he wants her. She seems to have a connection to Layne but he knows she will be his. Talon has so much to deal with after his return but he is determined to get his club back and make Everly his.

I love MC books and have been a fan of Ana Fawkes previous work so I really couldn't wait to read this. I liked the storyline and was really looking forward to getting to know the characters. The further into the story I got the less I liked Talon and had a hard time connecting with the characters. When I read a book I really get into the back-story of the characters and what makes them who they are. As this is the first book it is more about setting up who the characters are and less about what got them to where they are. That is the reason I gave this a 3 star. I know there is so much more to come and really look forward to finding out more about the characters and where this journey takes them. Looking forward to what comes next.

Thoughts: Inside Broken falls along with most other Motorcycle Club subgenre reads – raw, gritty, graphic, and not for the faint of heart. It hits off to a great start with Talon being attacked while in prison – right before his release. And while some of the things he faces when he comes back to remain the same, a lot of things have changed….and even more will be forever changed.

I enjoyed the characters – Everly didn’t really fit for the most part as the typical girl you’d see frequenting the MC letting herself be used in the hopes of landing a gig as an ‘ol lady’. I really liked Layne, but I couldn’t get his hang up on claiming Everly, particularly since you could tell he cared for her. And Talon was just Talon – there are no other words for him!...:)

There were definite undertones that had you feeling you were missing huge aspects or parts of this story – though I feel that was the angle the author is going for here. The end leaves off on a major cliffhanger….one of those drop you off a cliff, right in the middle of dramatic information/events kind of cliffhangers…..and considering there are future books, I see more information being revealed in bits and pieces. It’s a waiting game and a big puzzle to figure out. It’s definitely not a book for everyone – but MC fans will like it….but the waiting game may prove irritating.

I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review. If I could, I'd give this a strong 4.5 stars. The only reason I couldn't give it the five stars is because I was looking for a bit more on the characters. This may be because it's a series and we'll find more out in future books but for a first book, I wanted just a bit more. I know...I'm greedy!!!

Don't get me wrong, I loved being inside Talon's head when I got the chance and I absolutely love him as the President of the MC. He definitely takes no crap...especially when we first meet him when he's in jail. He sure isn't someone I'd want to piss off. He's more of a take action first kind of guy - no matter what. It's definitely quite a journey for him in this first book and I can't wait to see more of him.

Then there's Everly who hangs at the MC tending the bar does as she's told. I know she drinks to forget...but we don't find out a whole lot about her back story. I'm really interested in finding out more about Everly. We do know that she's a lost soul looking for something or someone. Who will that someone or something be?

Finally, I really, really want to know what the deal is with Layne. He's Everly's savior and protector and possibly more. He saves her while Talon is in jail and brings her back to the MC. I'm not really sure what he wants and where this is going to go...but the cliffhanger will definitely have me reading the next book to find out more.

YES this is another MC story and YES it is worth the time to read it. It is a fast paced story that will have you glued to every page until the end and leave you wanting more. Talon is is prison, for something he did to protect his club or one of his brother. And 18 months is a long time. he gets out and he wants his club back and back on track. It seems while he was locked up, that things kinda fell off some. Everly is not sure why she stays at the club other than she is safe or so she feels safe. She doesn't understand why Layne doesn't touch her, maybe she should seduce him. She has seen photos of Talon and her bodies reaction to him in a photo is nothing to her reaction in person. Talon wants her from the first time her sees her. But she is on the back of Layne's bike, are they together? Talon must find out and take her if she is not claimed by Layne. After the small celebration when they get Talon back to the club, Talon calls a meeting and the story goes very intense from there. Can Everly stay with Talon and embrace the MC life? Will Talon break the club apart and be able to put it back together? And what about that ending, holy hell. I need more NOW please. This is a first for me from Ana W. Fawkes and I loved it. I will be reading more from her too.

I received a ARC from Ana for my honest review.

Sexy, hot, steamy, intriguing and naughty, what more could a person want.

Okay first of I just want to say how much I loved this book and how much I really enjoy reading Ana's style of storytelling. She really knows how to capture the reader from the very first page and keep them hanging on throughout the rest of the book. This book was no different in hooking me.

Talon and Everly story is one that will take you on a journey on the back of a sexy bike. Both characters were developed and even secondary characters which is something that can be hard to do. You really felt like as the reader that you were part of the world your reading. Both had great personalities and were relatable. I loved the connection between both the characters and Talon might be part of a MC but there is a golden heart.

I love MC stories and this didn't disappoint me. It had the grittiness and passion that a good MC story should have. The suspense kept me on edge and turning the pages.

I noticed the editing but I know that Ana sent the wrong copy with the ARC and that won't be in the finish product.

Since this is my first read review there will be more added to this because I like to read a story the second time after reviewing and adding to my review.

Personally I can't wait to read more in the series. I will be waiting patiently.

I was happy to grab this one when it was free, having already read one of this author's paranormal books about a shifter MC. I much prefer contemporary romance though and this one was pretty good.
Talon is an MC President serving time for a crime he committed to help another brother in his club. Barely making it out alive, he returns to chaos and a club without a leader, leaving him the task to try and put things back to right.
Everly is a beautiful, troubled and lost girl who works the bar at the compound, unclaimed by anyone, but with a soft spot for Layne...the current acting Prez and the one who Talon went to prison to protect.
When Talon gets out and sees Everly, he wants her for himself and she also is very interested in him, having heard the stories, seen his pictures and realizing that Layne doesn't want her the same way.
It is an interesting triangle and just when things are getting deadly and out of control (after a murder and confession)...the story stops on a cliffhanger!!
What's going to happen next and who will Everly end up with in the long run...and why did Talon take the fall for Layne?

I read an advanced copy of this book I enjoyed the story line Talon was the president of the Devil MC before he went to prison he is about to get out more than happy to get back to his club someone doesn't want him to come back and several attempts have been made on his life today he was released his number one Layne and some of the other Devils are waiting for him and he couldn't be more happy he also notices a woman on Layne's bike and her name is Everly and he is very attracted to her she is very much attracted to him as she is to Layne but Layne has never made a move or acted like he wanted to be with her he tells Talon nothing is going on with them now Talon decides that she will be his and he makes his claim Everly is not sure because of Layne but he doesn't say anything Talon's biggest issue is to find out who tried to kill him and why Layne has not managed the club better because one of the Devils was killed the night before and some are on drugs and this has happened since he has been in prison Talon is about to make decisions that may change his and Everly's lives forever. This is a very interesting short story but it is a cliff hanger. Readers 18 and older.
