It turns out breaking the rules isn’t so bad, after all…

Daphne and her boyfriends are officially in second year, taking their relationship one step at a time in their new student house. On the surface, everything seems perfect… like nothing could ever burst their bubble.

Until Daphne starts receiving pictures of her and her boyfriends, taken without their consent. It feels as though somebody is out to get them - and to expose their relationship, before any of them are ready.

This was another fun read from Em Solstice! Following the same characters from book one, we see Daphne and her boys move into their second year university house, where things are heating up... and Daphne is receiving threatening emails and messages from an anonymous sender.

The book is silly and flirty and fun, displaying a side to university life I'm sure lots of readers can relate to - or aspire towards. It's also incredibly spicy, so be aware of that before heading in!

Em is a good friend of mine, but I absolutely recommend this book if you're looking for something easy and spicy. She often describes them as palette cleanders, which I think is a really lovely way to put it. I don't typically read spice, but if you're sick of long, complex plotlines and characters, this is a great go between.

I think it's unfortunate, though inevitable, that novellas will typically end up with a lower average rating than novels. Though this was a 3.5 star read for me, that doesn't mean I don't recommend it - far from it. If you'd like to support an indie author by grabbing a very quick, easy read, Em Solstice is great. You can escape into her world for an hour or so before heading back to reality.

I'd love to see a little more description and characterisation in her future novellas, but that may not be what every reader is looking for. I'm so excited to read book three!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not only did book one rock my world, book 2 rocked it even harder.

I sat and read this book in just one sitting, and I am so invested in this series, Daphne, Eli, Aiden and Nate are absolutely amazing and I cannot wait for book 3 to come out. This is the type of series that would take you out of a reading slump, short novella, quick paced that is packed with spice.

Em didn’t hold back on the spice in this book, in fact I would go as far as saying that there was far more spice in this book than there was in the first one, so if you’re not into books where the majority of the book is spicy scenes then this book is not for you. The good thing about this is that the spice didn’t take away from the story line/plot which I have seen in other books!

I absolutely hated Olivia in book one and hated her even more in book 2, a part of me knows that she was the one plastering all of the exposed photos of the 4 main characters but there wasn’t a lot around it to know for certain that she was the one behind the account, if she was I would have liked to have known what the consequences of her actions would have been. But although this was the only thing missing for me, it doesn’t change the fact that this was a 5 star read.

The sheer love and adoration all 3 boys have for Daphne is amazing, I’ve never really read much with the reverse harem/why choose trope but I am beginning to understand the hype around them.

A part of me is really hoping in book 3 she finds a way to tell her dad, even though he may not fully understand because of the generation difference. It I can’t wait to find out if we get to see his reaction!!!

It’s sad that as of today I only have one more book of Ems to read but it makes me even more excited for all of the works in progress she has going on right now.

Another great read from Em Solstice, which I had the pleasure of being a part of her ARC Team.

Following on from the events of 'Freshers', the story continues with Daphne and the boys now in the second year of university and living together in a house off campus. Unfortunately though they still have Olivia lurking nearby as she is their next door neighbour and is ready to stir up trouble.

Although this story is spicy, it is still heart-warming, with all of her boyfriends showing Daphne how much they love her through thick and thin, and she just can't get enough of them.

Just like Freshers, Students is fantastically written and is such a quick and easy read.

I think any girl would love to have a guy(s) who looks at them and shows them the same tenderness, as they do towards Daphne in this book.

Can't wait for more from Em 🥰

Ooooh, the follow up to Freshers is goood!

We join Daphne, Nate, Aiden and Eli as they navigate their second year of Uni. If you’ve read Freshers you'll understand that this has some complications for our awesome foursome.

IF YOU'VE NOT READ FRESHERS STOP READING THIS POST NOW!

When their relationship status shared all over campus, will she end it with the guys or will they band together and beat the bullies?

I loved this book. The way Daphne and the guys care for each other is so sweet and sexy too! Maddison is a fab bestie for Daph as ever and Conrad is a cheeky little addition.

There's appearances from the girls next door but I don't want to talk about Olivia and her posse!

Book three will round off Uni life in this 'why choose' romance series and I'm totally here for it!

I had the absolute pleasure of Students being my first ever ARC read! I have read book one ‘Freshers’, so to be able to read book two has made me so happy!

Students is fast paced and there’s plenty of action.
The spicy scenes are PHENOMENAL 🌶️
I love Daphne’s bravery of owning her relationship in front of everyone! QUEEN!

Also please give me a Madi and Conrad story because I just know Olivia’s reaction would be 👌🏼 *chef’s kiss*

Throughly enjoyed reading this novella and I can’t wait to see if, when and how their story ends. ❤️

smashed it again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are reunited with our lovely Daphne and the boys for the second time and we continue their story through the trials and tribulations of relationships that are not the norm.

Loving Aiden’s dominant side coming out more in this book. Olivia is still being a stuck up princess and we are introduced to a hot new character for our Madi. We could have a whole spin off series for Her.

The reading flows, the spice is spicing and we get to enjoy our favourite foursome for another Uni year.

Can’t wait for Book 3 😁😁

I can’t explain how much I loved and recommend this book, the romance from freshers had well and truly blossomed into something beautiful (as well as the spice!). Students really encompassed what it means to be a student and the dynamic between friends is just as good as the romance. The perfect sequel to freshers and I look forward to the next instalment.

Em Solstice has really outdone herself here.

⭐ 4.25

I loved the premise of the second book in the series! I want to keep this review spoiler free so that it can help convince new readers to pick it up but I will say that the poly rep was handled so well and in such a healthy way too. It really showed the darker side to it concerning people's reactions and behaviours and Em did a brilliant job at presenting that realistically.

The vibes between the three boys and Daphne was amazing as per usual and it was so easy to get hooked into their lives.

I cannot wait for book 3!

“I don’t want you ever to question if I love you or if I want you again.”
“I won’t.” I whispered, drifting asleep.
“Good girl.”

I adored Freshers and so when Em announced the sequel I was so excited.
This book continues on right after we leave Daphne, Nate, Eli and Aiden. They've just moved into their new flat, their Poly relationship is still a secret only they share, and Olivia is living next door.

I love how silly and cute this book is. It's perfect if you want something short and sweet, or something to pull you from a reading slump. There's great characters, the writing is perfect and the story is gripping.
I've not had a uni life but from what I know this book portrays a side of it that is accurate, the ups and downs, the good and bad. But how if you have the right friends it makes things easier.

My only issue with this book is that it's a Novella and I want more.

Each of the books in the Time Of Our Lives series follows one of the three years of uni. We only have one year left and I know it's going to be a rollercoaster.

I loved getting more of the relationship between the four of them. I loved the little hints we got in Freshers.
These four will do just about anything for each other, including standing up to everyone when their relationship is revealed.

I love Daphne, she goes through so much in just the first few chapters but she pushes through and proves how strong she is. The end of this book leaves Daphne in a rough place but I know that her boys will do anything for her in the next book.

The spice in this book is perfect. I'd give it a 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ out of five.

Em, I'm going to need a Madi and Conrad book pronto! I need to see their relationship play out.

Overall I loved this book and can't wait for Em's next release.

Book 2 in the trilogy did not disappoint.

Checking back in with Daph & the guys was like snuggling up with a hot cup of tea and a warm blanket in the depths of winter.

Despite what some may say about novellas not being able to have a plotline because of the length of the book, it absolutely does.

It's year 2 of Uni, and after Eli's surprise birthday party and the broken table leg (IYKYK), Daphne starts receiving emails of photos of her in compromising positions with each of the guys, and before she knows it, their little bubble is at risk of being burst - and not by them. By someone blackmailing her.

Unsure of whether to tell the guys or not, she confides in Madison and brushes it off like it's not a big deal, continuing to go about her life. Until someone uploads the photos online, and their secret is out on the world stage, and everyone's judging them for it. As far as Daph is concerned, though, there's only one person it could possibly be - she who shall not be named and coincidentally the next-door neighbour.

As anxieties build and with no proof of who's been blackmailing them, Daph & the guys must navigate not only their now very public relationship, but also their very spicy sex life {insert gangbang here}.

I had the privilege of working with Em on Students, and it was so much fun watching it go from an idea to an outline and then a fully-fledged novella. The solid level of trust between the guys & Daph, the epic best friendship that she has with Maddie, and even a little sprinkle of burnt brownies and a dad & daughter catch-up.

I can't wait for book 3 and to catch up with the gang in the next house <3

I'm so proud of you!
