I'm Yours

Have you ever been in love?
So in love that you believed all the lies, again and again?
Because I did...
Did you manage to escape from the hurt, the heartbreak, and the tears that came with being in love?
Did you even have time to pick up the broken pieces of your heart before they shattered it all over again?
Because I didn't...

I gave Evan my heart, my trust, my everything, and in return all he gave me was pain.
Stumbling around in a new city, picking up the pieces I had lost, I found myself in a stranger's arms. Cradling me against his chest, protecting me, seeing me, promising me everything I was afraid to ask for myself again.

I'm not naive enough to mistake lust for love. Love never comes that easily; it always rips you apart before it finally gives you what each and every one of us longs for. But Noah knew what he was after, and now I know that nothing could have stopped him from taking what he wanted from me.

He became the one who gave me hope again, day after day, simply by being there.
He became the one who made me whimper in bed, while he whispered dirty words in my ear, night after night.
And then he became the one who took it all away again.

This is my story, maybe a simple one for some, yet still completely mine.

Writing has become my world and I can’t imagine myself doing anything other than giving life to new characters and new stories. You know how some things simply makes your heart burst with happiness? A really good book, a puppy, hugging someone you’ve been missing like crazy? That’s what writing does to me. And all the hard work, all the sleepless nights, all the anxiety…everything is worth it at the end. And I'm hoping that reading my books will leave you with that same happy feeling.

I don’t want to write a bad review for the first book of an author who did really great in her next books. Let’s just say this one didn’t work for me. But I’m definitely going to read her other books.

When this blurb caught my attention I knew that I had to read it. I mean, how can you not be intrigued by this:

Have you ever been in love?

Yes, Yes I’m ready, and I am totally ok saying that I love when a woman gets back on a cheating dog. Yeah, I see men rolling their eyes, but if the guy is a douche, then he needs to get his ass served to him. So here we have a woman scorned.

Evan, who might I add is not only a douche he probably has warts on his anatomy, well at least I’m hoping. So Evan cheats, one time, and out of the goodness of her heart Jade actually forgives him, I know, how can you, but she does, until she sees said douche making out with a blond in the middle of the street. Dude seriously, are you dumb??? So that’s it, that’s all Jade can take it was the straw that broke the camel's back. So what does Jade do? Well, she does what any woman with balls does, she moves across the country. I mean come one only someone with a huge set will leave everything behind and start fresh.

Jade is in a new city and she’s trying to make friends, too bad the first friend she makes is into stalking. HAHAHA I wish I was kidding, but I’m not. This part of the book had me snort laughing it was so funny.

She has a new friend, who is stalking a guy, who she has never even spoken to but seems to know everything about that person, well that may be the first sign you need to get other friends.

I took a deep breath, trying to slow down my heart. It was a complete waste of time going after a guy. So few of them were worth this much trouble. And being lucky enough to find one of those…Yeah, I didn’t think so. Good guys, and by good I mean the kind of guys who will actually love you back with everything they have too, are becoming extinct. Nowadays, it is all cheaters and players running around breaking hearts.

Obviously, she is still bitter, but what did you expect? She gave him four years of her life, she thought he was going to be the one, now she has to guard her heart with an army, ready to attack!!! Imagine her surprise when she comes face to face with the man being stalked, oh and in case you’re wondering , he’s super freaking hot…

As far as I could see from the back. Noah was a fighter alright. He was wearing a long sleeved grey Henley shirt and dark jeans. His dark hair was an almost military cut, and even thought his shoulders were broad, he wasn’t beefed up like the other fighters I had seen tonight. He was all lean muscle, vibrating with power from where I stood.

Glancing a little up, I saw warm, brown eyes looking down at me with a lot of worry in them. He kept trying to tell me something. His lips moved, but it didn’t make any difference to me because I couldn’t understand one single thing that he was saying.

So you're stalking a guy for a friend and then you catch his eye and he catches yours, and boom you're thrown into an, "I’m not sure what to do moment." I mean your ‘friend’ was stalking him, isn’t there a code for that, you know like bro’s before ho’s, but like psycho new friends before dick. I know doesn’t rhyme, but you get my point. Just one problem, she can’t stay away from him, and she’s isn’t sure what is happening here.

I looked down to our tightly clasped hands; his was pretty much swallowing mine, and oddly it looked sexy to me. Looking past the face that he was bossing me around, I smiled to myself because I was amazed that something as simple as holding his hand could feels so right.

Oh this is going to be fun, you see Jade, she’s not ready for this, she just broke up with Evan, who cheated on her, she can not and will not fall in love ever again, or will she?

We all have our own memories. Some of them more painful than the others. In the end, it doesn’t make a difference. The mistakes we make in the past shape us as a person. We all fall down on our knees at some point of our lives, but then we always get back up.
No matter how much time it takes, or how much help we need getting up, we always do.

Too bad no one gave Noah this memo. You see Noah, he sees this girl, and he wants her. He doesn’t know right off the bat that she was burned, he hasn’t earned her trust yet. But he’s on a mission, to erase all the pain. And if you ask me he’s doing a fine job of that.

How could this guy, who I knew almost nothing about, say all the right things to me? And more importantly, how could I ever lie to myself that all I would ever want from him would be limited to friendship?

I loved how he always wanted to hold her hand, and always wanted to touch her, whether it was just a kiss or simply just touching her shoulder. You felt his love for her, and your heart just swelled with all the love that was pouring out of him. Oh and did I mention, he took her on dates, I mean really, he took her on a date I don’t think I've read about a couple going on a date in like forever, and, and, they spoke on the phone, ON THE PHONE. Basically, he courted the sh#t out of her, and I for one loved every freaking second!!

He’s courting her, and they are also having the hottest sex ever. I mean I swear to God, his penis, is huge, like holy batman big, and he totally knows how to use it, and he does over and over and over again. I was in awe of their sex, and also a little jealous. Score one for Jade’s vagina!!!

We all know that with all good things, there has to be a hiccup somewhere, you see Noah, he’s been burnt also, but he’s ready to give his heart away, and he wants Jade to take it and protect it and love it, she just needs that little push, but it’s so hard to finally let someone in and say I’m yours, but the reward is so worth the fall!

The one think I did know for sure was that it was the first night where a piece of me fell for him. It happened right at the table that was tucked in a corner of that delicious Italian restaurant.
I wasn’t just lusting after him anymore, I wanted to fall in love with him.

I absolutely adored this book, I loved this writer's style and I was in shock that this is her debut story. It was a knock out success. Way to go Ell

This is not the first time I’ve read close to the same kind of storyline. But still, I am curious on how their story started, what makes it somehow different or it’s intensity. And I’m sad to say, I didn’t really fall in love with this one. :(

It all started when Jade finally had had enough on her cheating boyfriend. She left him and decided to move to a different city and start fresh. Thinking one of that is making new friends, she accepted her neighbour’s, Tess, invitation on hanging out. Jade later realized that there is definitely something off about her neighbour. But, at the same time, it is because of this crazy neighbour that she met the hot and sexy Noah! Who became her hero that night. And followed by an intense attraction for each other.

But Jade is not ready to trust anyone yet…. And Noah is more than willing to wait for her.

The mistakes we make in the past shape us as a person. We all fall down on our knees at some point of our lives, but then we always get back up.

I couldn’t really relate deeply with the characters. I'd like Jade one minute and annoyed by her the next. As for Noah, I thought he was at times adorable and annoying the next. He expects Jade to open up to him while he seems to be having a hard time doing the same.

I was also, for lack of a better word, bored, on following Jade’s everyday activities and her thoughts process. It also seems like she is surrounded by crazy people! There is her ex, Evan, who is still obsessed with her, then her neighbours Tess, who will do everything to get Noah, and Connor, who is also interested with Jade and who’s behaviour is really off. Like I said, crazy!!!!

But, if you like a lot of romance and hot torrid sex scene, there is definitely a lot of that going on here.

This book just isn’t for me. :(

** JOSIE'S 5 STAR REVIEW **

Wow, just wow I have no words for how amazing this book was. The author grabbed my attention with prologue that kept my interest up until the very end. This story deals with the effects of cheating and betrayal. How much it can really affect a person’s future. Ella has written these two incredibly strong and intense characters. Jade and Noah have both been betrayed and are dealing with the aftermath. You can feel the intense feelings the Noah and Jade feel for another just as well as their inner turmoil.

Jade forgave her boyfriend for cheating on her because she believed he was remorseful and that he loved her. After witnessing the act of his betrayal, Jade realizes she can’t stay in this relationship any longer. She needs to leave and starts over. After 3 months of starting over, Jade agrees to go out with her neighbor Tessa and stalk a fighter, Noah. Jade has no idea that agreeing to help her neighbor will forever change the way she feels for men again.

Noah, OMG, NOAH (SIGH), he’s to die for! Noah spots Jade at a bar and after an altercation. He rescues her and takes her home. He sees Jade and he wants her. He wants to see her smile and to be her everything. Noah has no idea Jade has been scorned and effectively is still dealing with the betrayal she has suffered. From just one kiss, he can feel there is something between them.

“That was on h*** of a kiss, Jade. Do you feel it?”

“Yeah, mine is doing the same thing.”

Noah is totally swoon worthy. Jae is honest with him, tells him what happened to her in the past and that she does not want to get into a relationship right away. Noah understands Jade’s inner turmoil and is willing to accept a friendship with her, for now but he also makes his intentions clear.

“I will take whatever you decide to give me. I know you are feeling whatever this is between us, and I will gladly have you in my life as a friend just as we were for the last few days, until I can win you over and mend your heart. You are worth it, the connection I am feeling between us is worth the wait.”

“I am the one who is lucky to have met you that night, you are aware of that, right?

Noah and Jade’s relationship happens over time. Yes they have a connection but Noah is giving Jade the space she needs but he also needs to make sure everyone else knows that she is more than just a ‘friend’ to him. Jade slowly begins to open herself up to being in a relationship with Noah. She can see Noah is not the same as Ethan. When Jade and Noah finally get together, sparks fly. There is nothing that can put out the fire.

“Jade look at me.”

“I can’t, it feels too good, I can’t open my eyes.”

“Do you want me to keep f****** you?”

“God yes!”

“Then ride me hard. And keep looking at my f****** eyes. When you lose it and come all over my c*** I want to see through your soul and own a piece of it, and you are going to give it to me.”

Things are going well for Jade and Noah, but what happens when Noah breaks Jade’s heart again, will this finally send Jade running for good? Will Noah be able to keep the woman he loves more than anything or will it all end because of one bad afternoon? Get ready for a ride because Noah is one serious alpha male. He knows he wants Jade and will stop at nothing to have her, he will do whatever it takes, and the real problem is Jade wants to be his. I loved this story, the author really did a great job with the plot and with the character development. I even enjoyed the secondary characters. They really helped to enhance this story and made it that much more enjoyable. Seriously you need to pick this book up you will not be sorry!

2.5 Dirty Talking Stars!

Sorry Ella, this book just didn't do it for me. I found a lot of grammar errors, awkward sentence structure and unbelievable characters.

I get that this is a debut novel and that I should probably be more lenient and forgive certain things, but I can't do it. I believe that when you publish a book, it should be flawless, at least in the writing style and the grammar. Grammar errors are a big no no for me. I can't forgive them no matter how freaking amazing the characters and the plot are.

There are missing commas, missing words, missing quotation marks and words that shouldn't be written in a sentence all together. To top it all off, there are scenes and dialogues that make me cringe, roll my eyes and almost DNF the book without looking back. I don't know know I held on until the end. There was also a lot of she-said he-said scenes that created holes in the book and ruined the character development. Maybe I am overreacting, or judging too harshly, but the book felt extremely >awkward to read.

The word 'However' was used more than multiple times and it was off every single time. Like this for example"

"I hoped that somebody would step in and shut the whole thing down before it could become something more. However, the discussion was already getting heated way faster than I would’ve thought possible."

Am I am the only one seeing something wrong here? If this isn't enough, here is another example:

“If it had just been a simple fight between two men, it would have been much easier to escape, and later I would just laugh at how stupid men could get when they felt threatened in some way or another. However, everyone was drunk, which caused everything to get out of control in no-time. ”

I think I am going to stop now. Moving on...

The bolded words.

Seriously? I've never seen authors putting emphasis on words and speech by bolding them. it bugged the hell out of me. usually bolded words are used as headings of certain things, like titles and location such as city, time, and country. Emphasis on words is made by italicizing the words, rather than bolding it as well.

There were also some plot holes that I couldn't get over. Like why tell us Noah is a fighter and not include even one fighting scene? Or what's the deal with him never allowing/suggesting that Jade and he hand out in his place? Things were left unresolved and there was lot of unnecessary scenes that could have been cut to make room for these questions be answered.

Maybe I am overanalyzing again, but I really wanted to know more about Noah's background. There was so little, so much focus on Jade that it left no room for anyone else in the book.

I will however admit that Noah Hunter is one hell of a dirty talker! He is exceptional, knows exactly what so say to get Jade all hot and rattled and right under her skin. The sex scenes were intense. And I mean downright commanding, forcing, fucking, no nonsense type of steaminess that gets right to you. Maise absolutely knows how to write sexual tension. Her kissing scenes are detailed down to the core and the sex combined with Noah's dirty mouth is just combustable!

Let me give you a few example...and please excuse my umm..vulgarity here.. ;)

“Does it feel good?” he asked.
“Does my cock feel good inside you?” he emphasized the question by giving me another deep and hard thrust.
Just what I needed.
“Yes…” I groaned, eyes fluttering again. My hands made small fists on his hard stomach.
“Do you want me to keep fucking you?”
“God, yes!”
He started grinding his hips up into me as I rode him, his every movement stimulating my sensitive clit, driving me wild.
“Then, ride me, hard. And keep looking at my fucking eyes,” he growled.
“When you lose it and come all over my cock, I want to see through your soul and own a piece of it, and you are going to give it to me.”

If that's not enough, here's another.

“Come on baby, you love my cock. You want me to fuck you harder? You always love it when I fuck you hard.”

And maybe one more.

“You love how my cock fucks you, don’t you my beautiful, Jade? Do you love it when I go deeper than anybody ever has?”

Ok. Promise, just one more!

“Come on, baby, relax. Trap me in, let me give you what you need, milk my dick again.”

My 2.5 Stars go to his dirty mouth. Exclusively.

I did enjoy the plot and how the Jade and Noah were broken from past relationships and got together, fixing themselves up along the time. The only thing that really bothered me was how dominating Noah was in bed, yet how vulnerable and insecure he was when it came down to the communication and the other parts of the their relationship. He was always unsure, uncertain and vulnerable. I mean, how can this filthy talker be anything be but confident, you know? He was very hot n' cold and at times it gave me a whiplash. I thought he needed further character development and that's why I didn't fall in love in love him.

I did find a really nice and memorable quote that redeemed Noah's hot n' cold personality towards the end though and put him to balance. This time it wasn't all awkward and strangely written so I am going to share it because it's worth sharing.

“But I need you to want me too, Jade. I need to be between your legs. Every damn night. I want you to wake me up in the middle of the night, and beg me to fuck you. I want you to scream as loud as you want while I take you, not hold back your whimpers just in case that crazy bitch might hear you. I want to make you feel safe in our home. God baby… I want to be in you so badly right now. Take you so hard. Show you countless times how much I love you. How you are mine to fuck, only mine to love this hard.”

Overall, it was a bad a read. but I really expected a bit more. I wanted something new, something with a twist, something that wasn't all predicable in every page of the book. And When I didn't get it, I lost the connection with the book and just focused on fishing it rather than enjoying what it had to offer.

Good luck on your next books, Maise. I hope you get a better editor and polish this a bit so that it's more readable.

AND, please do not hesitate including another dirty talker in your next novel. I absolutely love them

I can't really say too much about this novel bc I couldn't read it. It seriously needed to be copyedited. Excessive use of commas, misuse of commas, and who uses that much semi-colons these days? I tried to read it as if it had the proper punctuation but the words still didn't flow smoothly in a lot of cases.

I'm Yours by Ella Maise! Yes, I just ended that with an exclamation point. I'm Yours is Ella Maise's debut novel, but it reads so much better than one. Maise had me either biting my lower lip or scrumming in my seat with her heated scenes.

Jade has been burned more than once and is determined not to let it happen again!! She moved to a new city and built up walls to protect herself. She is beautiful and sweet, so she catches guys eyes easily.
There is one guys eye she catches and she even likes what she sees back, but since she has all of those walls up, she is afraid to let him in, she is trusting anymore.

Noah can be described in as little as four words: sex on a stick. Well now that I type that it doesn't sound flattering. Whatever that is HOTTER than hell, that is what he is right there, and he has an even more impressive package to go with! How can a guy that is hot and "well gifted" be as sweet as he is anyway?? He was constantly pulling her into him and cuddling her up. Jade kept swooning in the book, so I kept putting my hand to my chest and saying ohhh!

Well you know for this to be a good page turning book there has to be a twist, there must be a little or a lot of conflict in there somewhere, right? There was some reason I stayed up ALL NIGHT to finish this book. You will not be able to put this book down.

Ella Maise, will you please give use Jake's story??
I highly recommend this one guys!! It was a lot hotter than I was expecting, GHOST PEPPER HOT! That's really hot!!

I give I'm Yours 5 Platypires
or Stars however you like to count things!

No cliffhanger, no love triangle, and no cheating!

Finally a book that can keep my interest! I've read erotica, and it's all sex. Well, duh. Like every page is filled with sex, more sex and even more sex. It gets annoying when it's all the same. I'm Yours is nothing like that! I love how Jade's story is...more. You get more emotion, and not a lot of sex. (Until there is. THERE IS SEX PEOPLE! You'll get what you wanted! ;) )

Jade's ex cheated on her. Multiple times. I applaud the girl for not taking his sh*t and leaving. Going across country was the answer and it seemed like it could work. While adjusting to the new life, she meets her neighbor Tess (who is completely psycho and I'd hate to meet if she were real) and is dragged out to stalk a guy.

The night turns up nothing how Jade planned, resulting in her meeting Noah. This guy...ohmygod, HOT! And such a dirty talker. Phew. *fans self* Noah has his own issues and reading about it, you can't help but hope everything works out for the two.

I really enjoyed this and loved reading Jade and Noah's story. I would SOOOOO be open to read Jake's story if the author is taking suggestions. So, Ella, if you're reading this, know I'm putting my hand up! :D Pretty boy's voice needs to be heard.

Highly recommended!

3.5. It would be 4 if not for the lack of contractions. “You are mine” instead of “you’re mine”. It gets robotic. But Noah was something else. Whoooweee.

I've gotten used to being surprised by how much I enjoyed reading a book by Ella Maise. Unfortunately, this book was not a good surprise. I guess the previous three books I've read by this author have spoiled me. I found this book riddled with editing problems. The story was also sort of boring.

What I liked:
1) Noah. He is actually my favorite H of Ella Maise so far. He's not a manwhore! Yay! Unfortunately, I didn't feel like there was much character development for him, but what I read about him, I liked. He was frustrating at times with how long it took him to open up to Jade about his relationship hang ups. But other than that, he was sincere, loyal, sweet, and honest. I wish he was the H in the Alex and Maya series. That would have been perfect.
2) The epilogue. I wish it gave more of what happened in their future. I really wanted to see Noah happy.

What I didn't like:
1) We only get Jade's pov. She was pretty annoying and whiny. Oh, how her heart's broken and she's not sure it'll ever be the same again. Oh, how she wishes she could trust Noah. Will she ever be able to trust again? I'm not making light of what happened between her and her ex. He was totally disgusting, and probably a little crazy. But I didn't necessarily need to hear how broken she was or felt she was all.the.time.
2) Again, most of the problems in this book, the cause of most of the angst, can be boiled down to one thing: lack of communication. Just be open, people!
3) The whole fighting thing just seemed like a random detail. It didn't add any value to the story and wasn't necessary.
4) Some parts of this book were really engaging like the Alexander and Maya series and the Jason Thorn book, but most of it seemed like it was written by a different person, someone with distinctly less skill.
5) It seemed too much like insta-love for Noah. He had such a strong reaction to Jade and it didn't make too much sense.

New author I've been following and have quite enjoyed reading several of her books. I missed this one and was excited to get started.

It's a story of a girl that was cheated on repeatedly by her fiancee. She left Boston to escape him and get a fresh start at SF. There she met a crazy blonde girl named Tess. She realized one night that her new friend is cuckoo in the noggin when she dragged her into a bar to stalk a guy named, Noah.
Then the plot thickens, a major brawl in the bar and guess, who saved her? NOAH!

Yeah, baby! There was an instant connection and insta-lust happening and before you know it, he was half in-love with her. But of course, angst has to happen since they're both broken people. They were both cheated on by their exes and because of that they had a hard time trusting each other. Although, Noah had some hot moves to convince Jade to go all in to their relationship. Woowee!

Jade must have been a really hot brunette girl because every good looking guy in her vicinity seems to like her...a lot. She's a little ditsy and doesn't seem to know her super "hot" power. You'll know what i'm talking about when you read the book. Drama with the hot villain Tess (hate her!) and Evan, the clueless ex-fiancee cheater. But not all is angst, there are a bunch of side characters that I would love to hear more from; Erin, Ally, Jake and Connor. They were a delight and seemed very interesting (esp. Jake).

Anywhoo! For safety gang, there are no cheating on the main MC's (just their exes). I liked Noah a lot. He was so loving to Jade and expressed some major alpha moves. HOT!

Read it. It's a good, light summer read.

After I read "To Love Jason" I discovered that "I'm yours" is in fact the first book that Ella Maise wrote.

So here I am reading about Noah and Jade.
Jade has a broken heart after a four year relationship. She left Boston to start over leaving behind her best friends and the cheating ex boyfriend.
She meets her neighbour Tess and allows her to drag her away and literally stalk Noah. In the process Jade meets Noah and their story starts.

Since this is the first book of Ella Maise I can see that while writing she was finding her style and rhythm. At times I wanted to scream at both Jade and Noah. Jade didn't know what she wants and Noah, well he took his time. Their attitude slowed a lot the book and their relationship.
I liked their story but I wanted more:
- Jade's thoughts and insecurities were a bit too much for me. I think a dual POV would have cut the rambling and given me insight into Noah's thoughts.
- The epilogue didn't explain to me why Noah never invited Jade to his place. I had to assume that since he lived with his ex he didn't want her "ghost" to taint his new found love.
- there was at times a lack of communication and a lot of assumption on both sides and again the dual POV would have helped me know what was going on with Noah every time he stormed out of Jade's apartment.

Overall this is a great read, predictable but sweet. I am looking forward for more stories from Ella Maise.

4-4.5 stars. Great story about Jade and Noah. Jade fell in love once before and it backfired on her and resulted in a cross country move to start all over again. Jade let her heart cloud her thoughts when she thinks she should have been listening to her head and isn't looking for a relationship. She meets Noah because her neighbor Tess is stalking him and drags Jade out to be her wingwoman. This should already drop some big hints about the kind of person Tess is. Jade meets Noah instead and from that moment, Noah is a fallen man for Jade. He goes out of his way to be Jade's friend with the clear intent of wanting much more, Jade just isn't ready for that, though. Noah is pretty tough and manly overall, definitely alpha, but he has a certain vulnerability when it comes to Jade and he's very sweet and romantic with her. His chemistry with Jade was smoking hot. I really loved seeing that romance develop with Noah wooing her. I also liked how Jade wasn't a sucker and let other people fool her, having learned this lesson firsthand with Evan already. She demands direct honesty and she has some really great friends who support her. There are some secrets and drama but Noah convinced me how awesome he was by how strongly he believed in his relationship with Jade and how much he trusted her.

Boy breaks girl heart, girl moves away, girl falls in love with new boy.

Jade moves across the us because of a broken heart but what she finds is Noah. After a night with her crazy neighbor she finds Noah. Well Noah saves her but he wants in her heart to but she not ready. She has lost her parents, lost her boyfriend and lost her trust. But Noah has also has a past and secrets cant not get into with him. But the trust issues and secrets can break Noah and Jade before they even have a real chance.

" I love that your love gives my soul the peace I had always longed for."- Jade

I liked Noah and Jade but I felt like there could of been more to the story. Bar owner, fighter and also a boy with a past could be more explained. I loved Jade friends and wished there was more to the story better yet I hope we get to here there stories. You will like Jade but she kind of like hot and cold. Just wish she stay away from Noah or trust him to be with him. She friend zoned him but then she wants him. Poor Noah just wants in Jade heart and has to battle her demons of the past. I do look forward to read if there any books about Jade friends.

2.5 Stars

There were some details in the book that were either forgotten or just left unexplained, like the scene when Noah's friend, Jake, was supposed to explain to Jade why he isn't interested in a relationship. A minor detail, however, I still felt it was crucial to his character.
Another detail seemingly purposefully left out was why Noah didn't want Jade to come to his apartment, and would only ever go to hers. Noah acted very suspiciously in several scenes, like Noah was hiding a larger secret, but his behavior and insistence about Jade not coming to his place was never explained in the book.
Overall, while Noah was slightly obsessive about Jade, he was so sweet and caring.

There were many grammatical mistakes in this book, as well as some awkward phrasing. I feel like this book could definitely use a thorough proof-read. However, given this is a debut novel, I felt like this wasn't too big of a turn off for me.

This isn't my first Ella Maise book. I've loved her other books, To Love Jason Thorne, To Hate Adam Connor, and The Hardest Fall, so I wanted to go back and read her earlier works.
I was not disappointed with the story, but I can assuredly say her writing greatly improved from this first book!

Noah and Jade have both been burned in relationships. They find each other but both have trust issues. Jade is determined to keep Noah at arms length and Noah is determined to make her his.

Sound familiar? Probably but this story is SOOOOO much better than any other one you are thinking of.

First of all Jade is not nieve and virginal. She is a strong woman who had a rough go of it. SHE IS A REAL EVERYDAY WOMAN.

Noah is an Alpha male that has some true insecurities. He is not mega wealthy but he holds his own with the likes of any alpha billionaire.

The story flows well, there are twists and plenty of OMG moments biggest. My hang up and this is just me, was the surprising lack of contractions in the dialogue. No one I know speaks so well and it was not a big enough of a problem that I didn't stay up until 4:45 this morning to finish because I couldn't put it down.

I hope Ellie Maise continues this series. There was closure and a HEA but there is so much story that could STILL be told.

For a debut author this was a Home Run. I will definitely be reading more from her.

What a roller coaster. I felt like I was being tossed around. I'm HOPING that there is more to come. I wanna know bout 'pretty boy' I want to know how her friend comes out from the hospital.(emotion wise) There has toooo be more to the story. It has to branch out to the other characters. Broke my heart that after a yr of liking this guy such tragedy would happen to her. (Sorry like I said the book had me tossing everywhere). Above all FUCKING BRAVO!!! loved it. One of my favorites and memorable from this year soooo far. And trust me I read a lot.

Kinda of jealous of jade!!! Lucky her she gets to ride that! I wouldn't mind having a Noah with a big ego!!

I give it 4.5 stars.

This was a wonderfully written love story with just the right amount of erotica.
You will fall in love with Noah and Jade. Noah is the ultimate alpha male with
just the right amount of sweetness. Jade is perfect for Noah in everyway, they are
great together, but don't take my word for it find out for yourself. Be warned when
you think you have figured out what is going to happen next you will find you were
wrong. I laughed and cried all through this book. It was a wonderful book I truely
enjoyed it. I can not wait for Ella Maise's next book.

Decent story

The grammar was horrible in this book!! The conflict was sooo obvious and cleaned up very quickly. Even with those negatives, I liked the characters and the speed of their story.

Not that impressed

Poor story development. To love jason Thorne was way better in my opinion. This story had some promise but there were too many plot holes to ignore.

I've never bothered reviewing a book but this one just hit me all wrong. I usually love all things romance and this book seemed like it would fit that bill but from the very beginning I didn't like it. The fact tess was this crazy stalker who just happened to show up at bad times made me feel uneasy and more like I was reading a horror story. I was suddenly suspicious of every other character even though I didn't need to be. For the most part I liked jade. I think she did the right thing moving away after her breakup. My real problem was Noah. I wanted to like him and think he was cute but really I just thought he was creepy. From the weird moment at the bakery, the fact he never told her about his fights, never going to his place and his possessive streak that didn't come of as hot or sexy just dark I just wasn't feeling him. His back story with his ex didn't really change much either. At this point I felt like I was just reading to finish the story and the ending was no better. Sure it's great that jade confronted her ex finally but then she goes of with Noah who just happens to track her down in Boston while he's angry and I just keep thinking really. Your friends in a hospital and your jumping this guy after a short I didn't cheat on you. I hated that Noah was so angry like she was the one in the wrong and then she apologised for not staying to listen after she sees a half naked women on him. He should have been more considerate knowing her past. They didn't deal with there obvious lack of trust or the fact he hasn't opened up at all and I wasn't satisfied at all. There were some cute parts I liked but overall I really didn't enjoy reading this book so much so it led me to actually write a review. I don't normally rate books this low but when you just want to finish a book because your already in so far it's just not happening. It shocked me because I read To hate Adam Connor and loved it so much I gave it 5 stars. It didn't even feel like the same author and I was looking forward to reading more of her work but this book wasn't the right choice. I can see how others liked it but I just felt like I was waiting for the other shoe to drop while reading it.

Honestly the banter in this book is cringey and unnecessary it feels very forced. You also never get to the bottom of why Noah has never invited Jade over to his house - and he never does btw and she never ends up asking why which is very frustrating. Plot was okay I felt like so much more could have been done and the sex scenes are great - only reason I finished it after getting to the banter scenes between Jake and Jade.

Very unfortunate as this author has done phenomenal work in her other novels just not this one.

I love this book. I love how Noah tried so hard to prove to Jade how much he loved her with all his heart and convinced Jade to keep him. Noah is too hot to resist. Jade’s past relationships make her so hard to trust someone, she wants to keep her heart safe, and she wants to start a fresh life. But, there’s Noah who tries to get her attention and keeps seducing her to make his mine. But, there's a plot hole in which Noah is a fighter, but there are no fighting scenes in this book. It focuses on the love between Jade and Noah only. This is Ella Maise’s debut book. It’s worth reading anyway.
