C’è qualcuno per me? O sono destinato a vivere e morire da solo?
Krampus. Potrebbe essere il mio nome, o il nome della mia specie. Non lo so. Durante Lo Stravolgimento, qualcosa è andato storto e ho perso la memoria. Non so da dove vengo; so solo che non c’è nessuno come me su Alia Terra. Sono unico.
Mostruosamente unico. Il mio aspetto è difficile da sostenere.
Non so neanche quanti anni ho.
Cara Wylde loves to write about strong, feisty women and their hot Alphas who will do anything to make them happy. Her books are filled with romance and just a dash of mystery, suspense, and that eerie atmosphere she fell in love with reading too many gothic novels. With a master's degree in Comparative Literature, she can't help but play with tropes and themes from various genres, trying to come up with fresh perspectives on the paranormal characters her readers love so much. Vampires, shape-shifters, demons, witches... Cara will always make sure they get their own twists.
When she's not writing, Cara is reading, planning her next story, or daydreaming. Her idea of pure heaven is a day filled with nothing but her laptop, a huge coffee pot, relaxing music, and a new, exciting project.
This was a pretty enjoyable monster romance novella. « Things would be so much easier if only she could see my heart before seeing my face » Krampus was adorable. Aura & him were well assorted! I just wish we got more smut & more cute moments between them 🤭
This BR was quick and fun!! I loved reading this with you @Lorena 💕 definitely looking forward to our next BR!!
When I had seen this particular book being released, I picked it up right away. I honestly did not know what to expect,
This is for the people that don’t remember the tales that are told about (Krampus is a hideous Wesen in a Santa outfit that exhibits a terrifying brand of "scared straight" justice. He uses a large sack to collect naughty children every year around Christmastime. Krampus exists for a few weeks before de-morphing into a typical human who can't remember or control what he does when morphed.)
Krampus pretty much avoided going into the town at the foot of the mountain. It was a town where humans lived, and even though they accepted him to some extent, He could see in their eyes that he frightened them. Every time Krampus went into the grocery store or the bookstore, and the tiny humans rushed to get away from him, He felt an ache in his chest. And he felt so alone, and sometimes all he wanted was to have someone to talk to.
Krampus has been alone for so long, with no one to hold, and no one to hold him in return, that he craved physical contact……..
Aura. lived near the outskirts of town. She lived in her parents’ rundown house, sadly, all by herself. Aura parents both passed away the previous winter because of a terrible flu.
In the winter months Aura would sell Her knitted items at the marketplace in town, to make ends meet. Yeah, sure. With the money she made, she made enough to pay the bills, But not much else.
So, When Aura's house burns down, she knows she has no alternative but to submit her blood to the temple to see if they can find her a mate
I found this Particular installment to be so sweet My heart just melted,
it's me reading these monster romances and putting them in my 'i would date them' shelf for me... but in my defense, they deserve to be there 🤭.
Krampus is the sweetest monster ever and Aura's the most resilient girl. They were made for each other and it was so cute to read about them embracing that, and getting the soft and calm life they've always wanted and deserved.
I've been super busy lately so this is the first book I've finished since last monday and I have to thank it all to the sweetest girl ever, my beautiful Maeghan who buddy-read this with me. I had the best time, and I'm already excited for the next books we'll read together ✨
Yet another instalment in my first foray into monster erotica, except this time with a cosy Beauty-and-the-Beast-esque vibe.
"You make me feel special. And... did you know? Only someone who is special himself can make someone else feel special."
Contrary to the relatively low rating, I did have a fun time reading this book, namely because of the setting, which gave it a wintry, cosy vibe. Krampus' animals, Frost the dog and Snowdrop the horse, as well as the rabbit that Aura found and named Fluffy, were a huge plus point in the story. It warmed my heart to see her developing strong bonds with them as time passed. As an animal lover, I love when animals are included in books and given page time 🥹🥹
Sadly, the book had nothing much else going for it other than the sex scenes, which were occasionally decent. Plot and other side characters were as usual sidelined given how short these books are. While Krampus' shyness and hesitation were adorable at first, I honestly found his self-loathing annoying after a while. Like yes, I get that he’s traumatised from years of derision and rejection, but come on, the woman literally told you a million times she doesn’t find you ugly and won’t leave you, and yet you’re still wallowing in self-pity??? Also, his decision to keep Aura blindfolded irked me, even though she did defy him and remove it. I don't think I would have had her level of patience.
I really enjoyed reading this story. This Krampus wasn’t like any of the other Krampus’s that I’ve read about. I liked that this story hit on all the feels. I enjoyed that as much of a monster he was, he had real human like feelings. The story just flowed to a happily ever after.
Aww I really felt for Krampus. Living alone for so long, not knowing how, when or where he came from. Refreshing to see such a beast with such insecurity. A nice speedy, sweet read, and was lovely to see Aura help boost his confidence. I only wish we found out more about him.

Krampus (H) has no memories of his time before Alia Terra and knows nothing of who or what he is. His appearance leads him to a life of loneliness with only his dog and horse for companionship, as humans in the nearby village want nothing to do with him. Krampus takes his chances with the Marriage Temple to match him to a fated human mate and is soon matched to Aura (h), a human woman whose dire circumstances force her to turn to the Marriage Temple and take a monstrous mate. Their marriage starts strangely when Krampus requires Aura to be blindfolded whenever she’s in his presence, as he reasons that if she gets to know his personality and nature first, then she’ll be able to better accept his physical visage later. Krampus is so lovely as he cares for and protects Aura, even as she becomes aware of his appearance bit by bit. She likewise was sweet as she kept trying to get Krampus to reveal himself to her and get him to trust her, and how she helped him explore the village. Loved all the animal menagerie too. Hot and steamy human-monster romance with a bit of danger, some angst, and side of heat, with size difference.
After the Shift, Krampus only remembered that word- Krampus. After so many years since the Shift, he has been lonely because most of the other monsters on Alia Terra have others of their kind. All those he has asked has never heard of another of his kind. So, humans are afraid of him. They’ll take his money, but they avoid him when possible. Finally, after reading a lot of books (lol), he goes to the Temple and gives his blood so that they can find his DNA match in a human to be his bride. He has his huge dog, Frost, and his horse, Snowdrop for company and a large home. He usually only goes into town whenever he absolutely has to, which is about once a month. He does a lot of crafts. I was really impressed by this.
Aura is alone, her parents died from an illness the previous winter. Most humans can barely get by in this new world. Aura knits and sells her wares at the market- scarves and mittens. The only person she really has left is her best friend, Mina, and Mina’s husband. Aura’s family has been knitting and selling their wares for generations. I love the idea of that. My grandma and mom did that as well as crocheting. I can crochet. I mess up when I try to knit. Lol
So much has been forgotten in the millennia since the Shift. Most of the books, are missing a lot of pages or even chapters. My heart broke over that, because I adore books. Something terrible happens while Aura is away at the market. Of course, Mina and her husband, Joseph, help out as much as they can, but Mina is expecting. So, Aura believes that she will be a problem for them, what with the baby coming, so she sends her blood to the local Marriage Temple and is matched. The book goes on and explains more in depth than in some of the previous books how the Temple works. Afraid of rejection, Krampus tells them that it is tradition and a few funny things happen before the truth airs out and misunderstandings are resolved.
I love how he treats her, even when he is being - what he does, lol, I don’t want to give any spoilers away. I loved the book and it is a new twist to Beauty and the Beast and a love story. The only thing I didn’t like was that I felt it was too short. I wanted at least another chapter of what happened after how it ended! I wanted to see more of how their life and HEA happened.

The twelth novella in the Arranged Monster Mates series. A short smutty Christmas themed monster romance. This was the first novella I picked up in the series. I chose this as the starting point in the series, because I was looking for a Christmas read. The main couple was cute and sweet together. A fast read that heavily insta-love with spicy scenes and fluff. The book has no plot all a short snapshot slice of life. Overall a fun and spicy monster Christmas romance.
Absolute page turner! I wasn’t able to start this book until yesterday & finished it in ONE sitting! That is completely unheard of for me. I have been salivating for a good monster romance & this did NOT disappoint! The world building was *chefs kiss*, character development was good too. And the romance?! Honeyyyyy! Yes yes yes! I would most DEFINITELY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the not so human romance! It’s one that will get its very own space on my shelves for sure.
I thought this was a really sweet addition to the arranged monster marriages series. This wasn’t written by my favorite author of the trio who wrote the series, but she did an okay job. The monster featured in this story is Krampus. And unlike other species of aliens in this world, he’s alone. There are no others of his kind and he’s incredibly lonely. Queue a human bride who is out of options and has just herself as well. But Krampus is concerned that his new human wife will be terrified of him because of how he looks. He’s never been received well where he visits and doesn’t want her to be frightened of him. He’s also incredibly sweet and attentive and makes the FMC fall for him with actions and character, not his looks. There’s a bit of drama along the way and weird antics surrounding how he tries to hide his looks from his new wife at first. But it’s sweet overall and they obviously get their HEA.
However! The one glaring issue that I have with this story is the logistics of the two of these beings being intimate. Krampus is described as being like 10’ tall and nearly as wide .. that’s a big freaking dude. Even taller than the ice giant in the first novella I believe. And any alien who’s considered bigger has received magical vagina stretching oil in order for their brides to be able to “take” them. Krampus received no such oil!! What the fuck??! There is noooo freaking way that a human FMC would have actually been able to do the nasty with him and take his entire ridged dick. Which, according to this story, the FMC is able to do on only their second round together. I have serious doubts. And he can control how much he can cum? I don’t think so. He isn’t a hose! But when he does finally let it all go, it sounds like he dumps out buckets of jizz. Which just sounds awfully uncomfortable for his partner. And yuck. So messy. And while I realize this is a series about monsters, this was just the most unrealistic of the monster couplings.
So, yeah, I liked this one, but I wasn’t sold on the smut. I would say it’s still worth the read!
The world now called Alia Terra after what is called the Shift. The earth has gone from a proud planet to this full of monsters and walled cities. But there are places within the city where young women can go to be tested to be matched to a monster. Krampus lives with his dog, Frost, and his horse, Snowdrop and he reads a lot...books on dating and self love and relationships. Although he tries to avoid going to the human town. He sees how they look at him. He decides to go to the temple to see if it was possible to find a mate. Aura is alone in the world since her parents passed the year before. She's headed to the market to sell her knitting to earn money to pay bills and buy food. It's almost Christmas and she buys a string of lights. She sees a fire as she heads home and suddenly realizes it's her home. She is invited to stay with her best friend and her husband. Not willing to be a burden she decides to send a sample of her blood to the temple. Maybe she will be lucky or unlucky depending on the point of view to find someone. The temple matches Aura and Krampus. But he is worried about how she will react when she sees him. So he makes her a mask and has gloves and a coat so if he needs to pick her up she won't feel him. He is so worried she will be turned if she even looks at him. He is hoping she will learn his heart and soul before she even looks at him. Will she be able to accept him for who he is and how he is? Or will his features turn her off to him? A beautiful love story.

Part of the Arranged Monster Mates series each can be read as a standalone with a species and finding his mate. Krampus sexy in his own right has no memory of who he is, what he is, no family, nothing about his life before with his appearance most run afraid of him so he lives with his two best friends both are animals and extremely lonely deciding to use the marriage temple for companionship just maybe he can find someone who can at least be his friend. Aura is sweet, sad with the loss of parents, then unable to maintain the home loses it and that pushes her to sign up with the marriage temple in hopes of finding someone to see her, love her and to just stick around. Neither of them thought there would be a match out there for them. But they matched and their marriage isn’t what she thought it would be with the strange request from her husband like where blindfold to avoid seeing his face as long as possible but what it did do was allow them to get to know each other outside of physical appearance hoping she will accept him as he is because Krampus is so lovely as he cares for and protects Aura, that his appearance doesn’t really matter especially when she takes him out into the village without a care of how others see him she doesn’t shy away but can things remain perfect for the two of them, will the village people make waves for them, does our boy ever find out more about himself, have they both found what they are looking for happiness without judgment?
Krampus has been around since The Shift. He woke up afterwards and the only thing he can remember is the word Krampus. He doesn't know if its his name or his people or what. He has been living alone for a long time since he has never found anyone like him before. Most people are frightened of his beastly appearance. He has gotten so lonely that he decides to approach the Temple to find his perfect match. He was actually surprised when the Temple found him Aura. Krampus fell for Aura but was afraid that if she saw him, she would run away.
Aura lived in a poor village. Last winter, her parents died of an illness leaving Aura alone. She supported herself by knitting. Then one night her house caught on fire and burnt down. Her best friend took her in but she was determined to be independent. She decides the best thing is to sign up to be a monster's mate at the Temple. When she gets chosen to be a mate, she is happy. Her new husband is kind and caring but he tells her that it is his people's tradition for the bride not to see her groom for the first week. She starts to realize that her husband has some unusual features and she starts to suspect that her husband was Krampus. However Krampus wasn't the monster everyone said he was.

Krampus has no memory of his life, people, or culture after The Shift. There is no one like him on Alia Terra. He decides to go to the Marriage Temple. He submits a blood sample, to be matched for a bride. He is matched to Aura. Aura has lost her childhood home, and is living with her friends. She submits a blood sample to the Marriage Temple, as well. She does not want to be burden to her friends. Aura receives a response from the Marriage Temple. Despite her friends' protests, she goes to the Marriage Temple to be married. As per her husband's request, she wears a mask covering her eyes. Krampus fears if his wife sees him, she will be scared. He knows that she will run away from him. Krampus provides well for his bride. Aura wants to see her husband, Kramous. After two days, she takes off the mask. What will happen? Will Krampus' fears come true? You have to read the book to find out. I enjoyed reading this story. The storyline flowed well. The characters were likeable, and realistic. The book has a wonderful concept of acceptance, community, and love.

Alright I said I was done but I lied, I like the concept of this series too much and I wanted to give it another try.
This one was better than “Wed to the Grendel”, but I like Layla Fae’s more. I feel like I couldn’t really understand why the MMC was so afraid for so long, but I think it has less to do with the theme and more to do with how the author wrote it.
Also, it was mentioned several times how large he was, but I think the author often forgot her own descriptions because they 1) definitely should’ve been using the temple oil and 2) had issues with her being too small for shit in his house if it was all made to his size. I digress.
After the absolute let down of the book prior to this re the elves, written by a different author, I was worried the series was at an end for me, but Cara has brought the series back with this one, I absolutely loved it from beginning to end.
Aurora was independent, working for herself and bringing enough in so she stayed a float, until her life turned upside down when her home burnt down and no way to be able to pay to get it repaired.
Krampus, who I adore, although in my opinion, he is a little senile due to far too many years alone, decides he wants someone, anyone in his life.
turns out thw temple more than delivered, they are perfect for each other, I wish there was more on this couple, I find myself more than eager to know what happens next, what their child is like etc etc.
Krampus had been living alone with his pets since the shift, memories of before then gone. Aura lost her parents and then lost her home. Both deciding to use the Temple for an arranged marriage with their perfect match. Krampus was insecure so he made her wear a mask so she couldn't see him. Aura was a great FMC, she knew he was lying about the "traditions" but went along with it. I love this whole series, it's full of sweet monsters looking for their perfect mate.

Krampus and Aura were great. He was so funny, and lonely... And making her wear that mask. Well, Aura got him straightened out and gave him the confidence that he needed. As far as the series goes, this couple I think have so much more in common as far as skills and likes and dislikes. Usually you see the opposites attract trope, so having them have so much in common was a nice change. Cute story and a great addition to the series.
At first I felt like this book was poorly written with a whiney female character, but after a while I realized this was a nice, easy read, with good sex scenes (not too graphic) and a male main character, a mythological monster, who was actually a polite, kind and caring male who just wanted to love someone and be loved back. With the world so full of hate these days, it was soothing to read an easy romance tale. The supernatural theme helped make the story fun, with Krampus, the ancient anti-Santa who kidnaps bad children and eats them, a hero who had no idea what a "krampus" was. Turns out he just wants love.
This is my catnip trope. Sad and lonely meets sad and lonely. Even THAT couldn't get me to read more than 20%. Stilted and sophomoric writing that uses too many modern phrases. Including my new pet peeve: "how come?" From a wise priest at a temple. How come? 🤦♀️
I have enjoyed them all even with different authors I’ve even follow some new ones. I’m usually not found of post apocalyptic stories. However, these are set far enough in the future to not be so dismal.
Me ha gustado mucho! Tiene un poco de todo y la verdad me ha dado mucha pena Krampus y como pensaba que el no era suficiente, pero me ha gustado como todo ha seguido su curso
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like something with such scary reputation as the leading man but it was really sweet. You can’t help but love him from the start. It was a great story.
