Betrayed, which follows Alive and is the second book in the Devastatingly Beautiful series, was another amazing novel by M. Dauphin!
Molly and Tatum's dramatic, suspenseful, thrilling, and sexy story continues to unfold in book 2. This story is narrated by them in alternating viewpoints (my favorite!) plus the villain's viewpoint is tossed in there so it feels as if they are talking to the reader, making it easy to grasp all of the characters' thoughts. Tatum is still the sexy prince charming while Molly remains the powerful and beautiful redhead...way stronger than Cinderella. They continue to battle their past lives in this story with nearly as much twists and turns as the roller coaster that was book 1.
Continuing with the feeling of the first book, Alive, Betrayed was slightly scary, thrilling, intense, raw and hot. Like the title, the theme is betrayal as the past tries to come back and continues to haunt Molly and Tatum! Each time the couple seems to inch closer to their happily ever after, a ball of fire explodes in their path...nearly scorching them to death. I hope Tatum and Molly finally find happiness with the rough hand they were previously dealt. This couple, whose theme song should be "I Will Survive," deserves a fairytale.
Devastatingly Beautiful series Betrayed By: Author M. Dauphin
Omg'sh!!!!!! While I am writing this I am mentally cursing every curse word I know.... Not very lady like but never the less the truth! Now I am cursing not because it was a bad book but because even though I was anticipating it, it ends on a cliffhanger and no not a small one either a really giant one!! I want to be mad at myself that I was not looking at the page count but I can't because Mallory Dauphin draws you into the silky web know as Molly and Tatum life and all the awesomeness of their story... After reading Alive I was expecting my emotions to be on par with Betrayed what I didn't expect was the swell of emotions I felt while reading this story to be so much stronger. As a reader who reads stand alone's to series's you always hope that the author will capture you just as much if not more with each new book, Mallory did that for me with Betrayed!! Now I have to impatiently wait for the next one. Highly Recommend the Devastatingly Beautiful series!! 18 and up due to adult situations. I was given this book by the author for a honest review all thoughts and feelings are entirely my own.
Off to find part three. The deadly rival of 2 rich families and woman caught in the middle. The drama continues. How much can one woman lose before she can lose no more. These are the things going on in this series. Have to know what happens now. :)
