Nestled in the quiet countryside, Redveil is just like any other charming small town ... until the calendar turns to Friday, February 13th. On this day, thirteen unsuspecting residents awaken to find candy hearts bearing a terrifying promise.
Long ago, someone loved too much, trusted too deeply, and was left shattered. Now, they return only on this cursed day, seeking retribution for betrayals both forgotten and unforgivable. One by one, thirteen souls vanish, leaving nothing more than empty rooms and hearts left to rot.
In Redveil, love isn’t a gift. It’s a debt. When the past comes calling, there is no escaping. After all, forever means forever.
If you're a fan of the Twilight Zone, you're sure to love Candy Hearts. Trapped in a terrifying world of murder, a group of people try to survive Friday the 13th. It's a spooky tale of supernatural revenge!
Had a lot of fun writing this novella, especially since I was going through a divorce. It was really refreshing to kill people in the most devious ways because they had broken other's hearts in the most devious ways. 😈
This one is a slasher type full of blood, guts, and gore. Sooooo not my thing. I favor scary ghost stories. This is a ghost story but a vengeful spirit that can do actual harm. Kinda wish I hadn't read it. There ain't enough Ajax to scrub it from my brain ~
