True Love Never Dies -
Not long after Aura and Dean solidified their relationship, disaster struck and he went missing, but she never gave up and continued her quest to find him. Dean’s mind was in a confused state, as he woke up in the hospital and discovered he had lost his memories. Even though there was a woman by his bedside who claimed to be in a relationship with him and took him home, he never felt connection with her.

Unfortunately, Dean’s life was upended again when Aura found him and claimed to be his fiancé, but he didn’t have any memory of their relationship, so he runaway. However, Aura wasn’t believed when she told her best friend about what happened, which led to her investigating further and finding out about a betrayal from the last person she expected. Uncovering the truth was devastating, but she put her pain aside to help Dean recover his memory, which led to them rekindling their relationship and working toward a happy future.

This is a captivating story with a few unexpected twists, some drama and steamy filled moments, that took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride, but left me wanting more. I started reading this book at bedtime and didn’t stop until I finished reading in the early hours of the morning. This is a definite must read book, that you will want to read.

We are taken into the lives of Aura and Dean during their time working for the Rangers. Their relationship fell apart when a storm erupted after his marriage proposal, and he disappeared. Distraught and grief-stricken, Aura does everything she can to find him, while Dean wakes up somewhere else with no memory. He is cared for by a woman who claims to be his girlfriend, but nothing tells him he recognizes her, or that he has any kind of feeling. After a long search, Aura finds him, but to her dismay, he doesn't recognize her either. Will they find their way back to each other and, once all the secrets are revealed, get a second chance at happiness?

Aura never gave up on Dean, even after he vanished during a storm.
Dean wakes with no memory, tangled in lies and a false life.
Aura’s search leads to the discovery of betrayal, the truth, and begins a fight for love’s return.
Emotional, twisty, and steamy—though a bit far-fetched in parts.

I usually really enjoy amnesia stories but this one seems very unrealistic and leaves me with questions.

Did the liar lose her job?
Does Dean return to work as a Ranger?
How do you work under an assumed name?

Heartbreaking story of resilience and determination, and testament to the power of love. Dean and Aura were a perfect match, their character's likeable and relateable. I was a bit put out by her outburst toward him, given his lack of understanding (of any of it). His life was ripped away while hers was ripped open. This story takes you through it from the very beginning. It's a bit of a heartbreaker, but Snoak sets things right in the end.

Weather the Storm

Dean and Aura just got engaged but terrible weather caused him to be lost. When is found months later he has no memory, a different name and someone claiming to be his girlfriend. This short story was emotionally charged with betrayal and heartbreaking moments. However, the chemistry between Dean and Aura could not be ignored which was a fantastic part of this read. I wished there was more detail and consequences for the one that caused issues, other than that it was a great read.

Lumberjack Second Flame is Book 2 of the Sizzling Lumberjack Heat series. It's a short and steamy, mid-life, second-chance romance. Aura and Dean are Forest rangers in love until a typhoon rips them apart. When Aura finds him 3 months later working as a lumberjack, but he has no memories. And then secrets come to light that shake them to the core. Can they find their way back to each other? This couple had great chemistry and we got a happy ending after the drama resolved.

Dean and Aura worked for the Ranger services and fell in love. After Dean proposed, there was a violent storm and he disappeared. Aura never gives up on finding Dean. He wakes up with no memory and a woman claiming to be his girlfriend that he feels nothing for. There are lies and betrayal and when Aura finally finds Dean he doesn’t recognize her either. She is crushed, but doesn’t give up. Will Dean come back to her or will he stay with the “girlfriend”?

This is the story of Aura and Dean. They were newly engaged when Dean gets hurt in a Typhoon. Dean looses his memory and due to a conniving woman he's kept away from Aura. Aura never gave up on finding Dean. Once she comes across him the work begins for them to overcome their time apart, reconnect and find their second chance at love.

The book I’m reviewing today is titled, Lumberjack Second Flame which is the second installment of The Sizzling Lumberjack Heat Book Series written by Penny Snoak. This story was heartbreak right from the start, but what a read, a sadness to get a happy ever after. This storyline was well written and Dean and Aura’s chemistry is intense.

This was an emotional story, where we can see Aura’s raw pain. However, I didn’t like how she treated Dean after finding him.

Second chance

Dean and Aura, needed a second chance all because of her best friend later ex friend. Dean has an accident and looses his memory but knows something is off when a woman gives him another name and says she is the girlfriend. Aura never gave up hope and three months later she gets a second chance. The story idea is good but the execution isn’t great. There is a happy ending though.

Great story!

Dean was a ranger and worked with Aura. He loved her and gave her an engagement ring. Later there was a radio call of an emergency, a family of three . They got them out safe, but Dean went up a trail to cut a fallen tree. Too much time passed and still no show of him. Aura went out with a team and no sight of him. Her friend Yana told Aura to move on. You need to read to find out what kind of friend Yana was…

The story just didn’t do it for me. Maybe I’m too realistic or critical. Obviously the hospitals were never checked and when told he needed rest and quiet she just kept badgering him. All the other stories I’ve read by Penny Snoak were fun and mostly realistic this one to me, not so much.

This work place/second chance romance is well written and with a well developed storyline. Dean has amnesia after an accident during a typhoon. His fiancé Aura a fellow ranger thinks he's dead. To say this story is a great read is an understatement! Its my favourite of this series!!! Highly recommend!.
