Halfway to Bimini

Rate this book
The story of a big time international smuggler who moved megatons of marijuana and distributed it to 40 states. The Untold Story of a Big-Shot Drug Dealer Who Was Never Caught… Now Finally Revealed! What if the life you lived was so wild, so lucrative, and so dangerous that it felt like a Hollywood movie—except every scene was real? Stephen J. Magida’s Halfway to Bimini is the explosive true story of one man’s rise from a college graduate with a tough decision to one of the biggest marijuana smugglers America has ever seen. This is the first time his story is coming to light—after forty years of whispers, rumors, and law enforcement dead ends. From the back streets of Chicago to the sweltering heat of Miami, from intense deals in the Arizona desert to luxury jets and million-dollar scores, Steve built an empire where risk was the only constant and luxury was the reward. He rubbed shoulders with ruthless cartel figures, outplayed the DEA, and lived the kind of high-flying life most people can only dream of—And guess what? The man was never caught! Told in Steve’s own voice, Halfway to Bimini is more than just a crime story—it’s an adrenaline-fueled ride through the highs and lows of a life lived on the edge. It’s fast money, faster cars, and the price of playing the game at the highest level.

Having lived in Miami during this time. Watched all the things happening on the news and around me (plus I have been to Bimini, a few times). This book really brought me back! Even if you don't remember this time or haven't been to any of these places, READ THIS BOOK, and you will feel like you were there...

I thought this would be an interesting summer poolside read. OMG, it had me from the first page. A real-life big time gangster that got away with it. Reads like a movie, but a true life story. Just Wow !!!
