In Descendant of Dragons, the fourth installment of the Ring of Worlds series, ancestral legacies and rising threats collide as the saga deepens. Interwoven storylines, divergent journeys, and ancient magic lead to cliffhangers that refuse to let go. These novels feature a diverse cast of characters of different ethnicities, identities, and orientations. These are not standalone novels and must be read in order.

C.S. Harris has been a storyteller since before he could spell his own name. What began with crayons and a battered typewriter became a lifelong pursuit of wonder—worlds where love defies fear, identity is sacred, and power comes with a human cost.
A bisexual author who writes for readers who rarely get to see themselves as heroes, he lives in Maine with his wife and some cats who think they’re on the payroll. When he’s not writing, he’s usually lost in thought about distant suns, forgotten gods, or how to smuggle an extra cup of coffee into the afternoon.
For Harris, every story is a mirror—one that reflects the beauty, chaos, and fragile hope that make us human. Reunion of the Three is the first glimpse into that reflection: a story of love, exile, and the courage to come home again.
I’m not sure how much I’m missing to understand this one Since I haven’t read the other 3 books in this series but from what I gotten from it is that it’s a wonderful read and that the world building was extremely wonderful and the story line from what I was able to understand of it was perfectly written and that it was really interesting, I would definitely recommend this book series to anyone looking for a new series to get into
I read this book as an ARC. it is book 4 of ther series, and I haven't read the other 3, but now I want to read them all because of the immersive world-building and deep character connections. The use of language and imagery is remarkable, and I found myself drifting into the different worlds.
The only thing that kept me from rating it 5 stars was that it jumped too much between different characters and locations within the same chapter which made it difficult to follow at times. Otherwise I can't wait to read more about The Three.
ARC Review- The book is spectacular! Continuing the journey full of excitement and intrigue for the characters. The World building, mythology, and transition of the timeline was easy to follow. A must read series!
I received this as an ARC and had not read the previous 3 books tho I might have to go back and start the series.
Fast paced with an interesting cast of diverse characters that go on an epic journey. Also very helpful to have a pronunciation guide at the beginning, even though I do enjoy making up how they sound in my head. If you’ve read the first three, Im sure that you will enjoy following everyone in continuing with the twists and turns.
I received Descendants of Dragons as an ARC in exchange for my honest review. While the storyline was great and it held my interest, I really felt that I was lost in most of the book. This was the fourth In the series and without reading the rest of the series jumping in on the 4th installment without any context of what is going on made it very challenging for me to follow the plot and the characters. With that being said, the story is rich and layered very well. I would recommend this book to read but would say to read all the others in the series first.
I received Descendant of Dragons by C.S. Harris as an ARC in exchange for my honest review. While the storyline was intriguing and held my interest, I found myself lost for much of the book. This is the fourth installment in the series, and jumping in here without the context from the earlier books made it a challenge to follow the characters and plot fully. That said, the writing is strong, and the world Harris has built is clearly rich and layered. I recommend starting with book one to get the full experience this series seems to offer.
In Descendant of Dragons, the fourth installment of The Ring of Worlds series, C.S. Harris once again blends science fiction and fantasy into a thrilling adventure. Alex, Imara, and Sireni are finally finishing their eight years of training, but their return to Earth doesn’t go as planned. Alex arrives six years too late, Sireni finds herself flung into the past, and Imara uncovers long-hidden truths about her origins. Along the way, we learn more about the necromancer villains and the surprising history of vampires.
Where earlier books sometimes felt disjointed in their shifts between worlds and characters, this volume flows much more smoothly. Harris masterfully uses timelines to recap events without slowing down the pace, keeping the story moving while still adding depth.
With its mix of high stakes, rich mythology, and character growth, this book is a strong continuation of the series. The ending leaves plenty of excitement for what’s to come—I’ll definitely be picking up the next installment!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Harris’s fourth book in his Ring of Worlds series doesn’t disappoint! In this installment we see the four main characters off on adventures of their own, where the incredible world that Harris has created, just continues to expand and grow. His writing transitions seamlessly between each character and their adventures, with an amazing story-telling. This book has the same qualities as the first three, I couldn’t put it down and had to know what was going to happen next. The writing also continues to be superb, really professional, with no errors and so much depth. I also really love all the connection, love and friendship that Harris includes in his stories. We need more of this in the world! And the diverse cast of characters of different ethnicities, faiths, and orientations is a breath of fresh air. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!
As I had not read the previous books In this trilogy the world building was expansive. However the author was descriptive enough and the writing was good enough I was able to get with the program in a relatively quick manner. I personally feel this would have been easier for me in a physical copy vs. Ebook as I find when I can refer to maps or charts as I read much easier and I do not read in eformat as much as to go back and forth. But that being said I found this book immersive , enjoyable and a heck of a good read. I would definately recommend this book To those that are fans of this genre!
C.S. Harris did a great job blending mythology into his world building. I was intrigued with the characters and how each held strong to their role in the story. We watched their journey to over come several battles. At first I was a little confused when we flipped between present to future but stick with it the story only gets better from here. I enjoyed Descendants of Dragons and look forward to the next installment. Thank you for the ability to read and review for you during my Arc adventures.
This journey is a 4th in the Ring of Worlds series. The past, the now and the future all intertwined for everyone. Imara must figure how to face the newest problem. C.S. Harris makes the shift between worlds seem effortless in this story. I love the mythology and how you can watch the characters grow into theirselves. I received an advance review copy at no cost and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This book pulled me into a universe I didn’t want to leave. The way destiny, sacrifice, and love weave together through Imara’s journey is breathtaking. I cried, I gasped, and I couldn’t stop turning the pages.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A breathtaking journey through time, space, and the soul. Sirenī’s loneliness on that alien world tore at my heart, while Imara’s courage gave me hope.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolutely breathtaking adventure! The mix of magic, cosmic mystery, and destiny had me hooked from the first page. Imara’s journey is both powerful and inspiring.
