What an amazing sophomore addition to this series! I’ll admit, at first I worried that the move in setting and introduction of new characters might complicate the storyline, but I’m so glad to say I was completely wrong. S. Lynn C. not only managed to expand the world seamlessly but made the story even richer and more engaging. The pacing starts out a bit slow, but by the halfway point, it takes off at full speed and doesn’t let up until the very end. And that ending... wow. I truly thought I had it figured out, but I couldn’t have been more surprised. Now I’m anxiously waiting to see what book three will bring because that cliffhanger, OMG!!!

Yep I'm going to go sit and cry for awhile

Book 1 had me on the edge of my seat ready to throw my kindle. I didn't think she could make me any more frustrated, angry, or emotional but this book topped it. The roller-coaster of emotions, the pain, the praying, the laughter. She truly drags you through it all and leaves you screaming for more.
