Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 #2 leans all-in on monster mayhem — and it mostly delivers. This issue skips Godzilla and focuses on Kong wrecking everything in sight while Lex Luthor turns Killer Croc giant to fight him. It’s exactly the kind of simple, over-the-top fun you want from this crossover.

The Hollow Earth setting is wild and the visuals really pop, with Christian Duce’s art and Luis Guerrero’s colors bringing huge punches and glowing underground ruins to life. The Suicide Squad bits and team tension add just enough DC flavor to keep it interesting between the monster brawls.

It’s not deep, but it doesn’t need to be — this is pure big monster chaos, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Solid, fun issue.

More wild, over the top action. This issue focuses on Kong, the Justice League, and the Suicide Squad. The art really pops in this one.

Yeah I’m not really rocking with this writing too much, the characters are way too dumbed down and it continues to jump all over the place. The action itself real isn’t doing it for me either. Although I do appreciate that in this alternate world they can really kill people and leave them dead. As we pick back up from the last issue, Shaw has just killed Amanda Waller and with the bombs in the suicide squad’s necks the shoe continues on with Luthor still at the helm of most of the steps. We also left off with the Justice league standing against Kong, but they decided to immediately show submission in order to prevent a fight. Unfortunately the giant version of killer croc didn’t get that memo, and the Justice league continues to remain terrible at communicating with Kong as Superman and supergirl attempt to push Kong away to end the fight. That didn’t stop Kong from getting the last blow and stopping Croc’s heart completely! Guess the mix of radiation that turned him into the monster and the fight finally ended things beyond anyone being able to save him.

But then the Justice league notices the incoming vessel, a hover craft based on designs from apex cybernetics. And as soon as Shaw sees Superman, he is glad that he kept Lex around to keep the plane going. Suddenly Superman is brought to the ground as enchantress magically traps him and the rest of the suicide squad (equipped with more legion of doom members than task force X) make their appearance to fight our heroes. Somehow peacemaker has super Sonic bullets, which is the most annoying thing in the world as somehow he was able to graze flash’s head and take flash down. What also bothers me is that although Superman could validate there were no fractures, he couldn’t tell if there was a concussion and they needed to get him out of there for an MRI. Seriously? Something is broken, okay I get it, get flash out…but a possible concussion, that’s it?! He has super healing! Dude will be fine in a minute! Batman takes flash away in the mech, Superman chases after Luthor and Shaw, and Wonder Woman stays behind to take on task force X. They’ll be done for in just a moment. Supergirl also had 0 luck with trying to communicate with Kong, and eventually left the fight when she realized Wonder Woman needed help. Superman actually followed Luthor down into hollow earth, where Lex immediately started using his power armor against him as Luthor knows Superman doesn’t have access to the sun here. But the issue ends with their fight being interrupted by a rumble, as suddenly they become surrounded by giant ape like creatures! Hahaha, this is both their problems now.

Nothing more to say than big monsters going at it. Hero’s and villains going at it. PURE AWESOMENESSS.

Spoilers:

The League gets saved by Kong after a Titan sized Killer Kroc attacks them. They want to talk to Croc so they knock out Kong but they can’t talk to Croc cuz Kong killed him. Then he starts to shrink and they realize Lex is behind this. So then they find Lex and Colonel on a jump ship and they bring it down. But then, here comes the Legion of Doom! They have an epic showdown where Peacemaker ALMOSY kills Flash, but he was able to dodge the supersonic bullet, but does get grazed. Superman, after getting wrapped up in Enchantress magic, goes after Lex who’s trying to get away. Batman gets flash and tries to go to Mr. Terrific waiting on the other portal side. And Wonder Woman stays behind to kick asss !!!

Meanwhile, supergirl tries to befriend Kong who wants none of it. Before she can do more, she sees Wonder Woman needs help so she goes. Mean while that meanwhile, Manta and Captain cold are seen leaving some building (hilarious scene) and someone is lurking. Who is this lurker.

Superman follows the jump ship into another portal that takes them into “Hollow Earth” where there is no sun and the energy it gives offf affects metahumans. So Superman is scrwewed, that is, until they turn around and see 4 Killer Kongs looking at them like food.

The fun continues!

So much fun. I am enjoying this series more than the last one. Very cool. Read it. Its worth your time and money.
