A Converseation In Four Parts

Rate this book
A Converseation in Four Parts is a collection of poems by four women writers who accidentally found each other through spoken poetry events in Mumbai. While all four are very diverse working professionals by day, their love for words got vocalized through the creation of this poetry collective. This book is an attempt to provide a window to the many facets and genres of poetry, many of which are left unexplored in popular forms of english literature. The work journeys through their lives making rhythmic observations about people and issues that impact them. It seeks to dialogue with the readers by alternating between deeply personal and pertinently worldly tones.

Thank God for books like these! There is so much heart and soul in their words. The voices are distinct and each poetess has a story, conveyed well through each part. Poetry works the best when craft and stories go hand in hand. I would definitely read this book all over again especially Rochelle and Preeti's sections.
