The book is arranged in 52 weeks with a devotion on each day from Monday through Friday and one for the weekend. Each week was written by a different person. From the introduction: "Each day contains a verse, a devotion, a prayer, and a truth about God for your child to hold on to." A list of contributors is located at back of book. Most are from the southeast, with a prominence from ministries in Georgia. One or two from California. Great little gems of Bible thoughts for little ones. Well done. A cartoon bear theme runs throughout the book. These are the only illustrations. Well suited for little ones. Not KJV, unfortunately. Still, I recommend the book.

A tab on the side of each page alerts the reader to which week and day the devotion is written for in the context of the devotional as a whole. The devotion starts off with a topic title and related scripture verse. The devotion is written in an easy-to-understand style for children, followed by a short prayer. The day’s devotion ends with a short statement reminding the child what they can do to follow through in their own life with what has been learned in the devotion. The cover and interior design, by Kristy Edwards, is perfectly done for a child’s perspective. This is a high quality made child’s book.
My is one-years old and is not yet ready to be drawn to the content level of Bedtime Devotions With Jesus. However, it will not be long before it will be included with our nightly bedtime traditions.
I highly recommend Bedtime Devotions With Jesus for young readers and parents of young children.

As our children were growing up, we tried to instill in them a love of God's Word, Jesus, and God. We used Bible story books, the Bible, songs, and prayers to do this. At that point in time, there was not the rich variety available to parents there is today. So today's parents have a grand opportunity to instill reverence for God and Jesus and a love for His Word using many tools.
After reading through the content of Bedtime Devotions with Jesus My Daily Devotional for Kids, I am grateful that publishers and authors are rallying to provide material that can be used with the very young child. Though this book is designed for the age 4-8 child, I really think it best for the age 2-5 child. Especially if the family is active in church.
The Bible quotations are from the International Children's Bible. Frankly, I prefer the good and reliable King James Version. Children can learn verses straight from the King James Version at an early age. However, I think key to this particular devotional book for young children is to instill reverence for God, establish a pattern of nightly devotionals, and learn lessons on obedience, God's love, trust, forgiveness, etc. Using this book can fulfill this purpose.
I think the goal is worthy and the purpose achieved in publishing this book. I believe that parents should consider if they want to use it with the International Children's Bible as the source for quotes.

Bedtime Devotions with Jesus is a very nice children’s devotional book. It has 52 weeks of devotions – one for Monday-Saturday. Each devotion is definitely short enough for quick Bible time, but yet allows the parent to go deeper in discussion of a particular devotional topic. It is definitely age appropriate for 2-5 year olds. I believe it is vital to begin devotions at infancy and this book can easily help parents with that goal.
The graphics are really quite beautiful. They have a water-color effect and who doesn’t love teddy bears. The size of the book is great even for children’s small hands.
Although the title says “bedtime,” this really can be an anytime book. Bedtime Devotions with Jesus would make a wonderful gift for new parents or grandparents. (rev. P.Howard)

What a wonderful devotional for kids! It's just right for my older grandson who loves to read about God, while the younger grandchildren listen to how God takes care of them. With complex topics addressed such as obedience, trusting God and being kind, you'll appreciate that the words are simple to understand. Plus, the children will enjoy the delightful teddy bear illustrations. I especially love the design layout that provides 52 weeks of devotions with five per week, plus one for the weekend. The book endnotes contain the scriptural references, along with author credits from various churches. I love to plant seeds of God's word into the minds and heart of my little grandchildren. What a powerful investment within the pages of this beautiful hardcover devotional. I highly recommend this one to friends for home and church library.

The sweetest little devotional for children which examines a new bible verse daily. Speaking in terms a child would understand easily, the author relates a story to further examine the verse. Actually Bedtime Devotions was created by many pastors and church leaders. The illustrations are adorable. This book makes for the perfect bedtime story and learning time between parent and child. I highly recommend as a gift. A wonderful way to teach our children the value of God's Love in our life. I was given the perfect opportunity to review this book for the Book Look Network.

We've only had a couple devotional books for my young son. They are great for adding some new content to our Bible reading. I especially like the layout of this one. The short explanation that is easy to understand with a simple prayer, the Bible verse and a small saying he can carry with him if the verse is too much to memorize at such an age.
