Beginners Guide to Independent Publishing by Timothy Lloyd was written to “share with you the complete blueprint for building your own profitable Kindle publishing empire.” The book is helpful in that respect. The tips and strategies contained within can help you make strategic decisions based on market research and profit potential.

Without giving away too much, the author advises as systematic approach to your publishing business. Some of the standout tips include:
• Shifting to a business mindset
• Developing a priority matrix
• Learning how to leverage Amazon’s algorithm to your advantage
• Crafting your book’s metadata
• Developing your email marketing

Overall, the book is more or less a time management book. If you can make better use of your time, your publishing business will grow. However, the chapter on marketing is excellent. Still, the book provides actionable steps. You will appreciate its clarity, checklists, and find it easy to understand and read.
