This book will always be remembered as such a lovingly, challenging book that the Lord used to bring some things to light that I had buried in my heart for some time. Beth challenges us through this book with scripture, as well as her commentary and her authenticity in which she shares her own victories and struggles as she has walked with God through the years. I wanted to continually know more about the examples of others in the faith, and studying how they walked was really timely. In an age where there can be so much judgment, this study reminded me that everyone’s walk with the Lord can look different, and that’s ok—as long as Christ is at the center of our walk. No matter where you are in your walk (a new Christian or someone who has walked with the Lord a long time), I think there is something new we can learn here.

“And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.”
— Genesis 5:24

No two people walked with God identically, and the same is true for us. We were all created uniquely and wonderfully made by a Father who loves us. And so our walking with Him, will be just as unique.

By looking at how certain characters in the Bible walked with God, what it means to walk with God, and how we can learn to walk in our own way, Beth Moore gives us a comprehensive study that we can learn in a five week devotional setting.

However, I do believe this study should be purchased as a curriculum, as there is a lot left out that the book just says to watch the accompanying video.

Beth Moore reminds me how beautiful Scripture is. I think I prefer when she hones in on a single book so I can be more immersed in a specific time and place in the narrative of Scripture, but even still, there was something special about this exploration of the breadth of Scripture. I gave this 5 stars because I had numerous “aha” moments doing this study and finished feeling spiritually refreshed with a renewed love for God.

Really enjoyed this study and did it slowly during the newborn phase! I skipped doing the videos (because I am cheap and didn't want to purchase)--but overall I feel like I still got a lot out of it and enjoyed going through different parts of Scripture.
