Country Music Legend Patsy Cline's Life Story: From the Cradle to the Grave (Book 2 of 3)

Rate this book
Country music legend Loretta Lynn wrote in her book, Me & Patsy – Kickin’ Up Dust, that Patsy was forever present in spirit guiding her throughout her life since Patsy’s tragic death in an airplane crash on March 5, 1963. The author has felt equally so guided in writing Patsy’s story, many times receiving messages while listening to Sirius XM Willie’s Roadhouse – Willie Nelson’s Classic Country Music.

During many occasions when the author sought guidance, a bit confused as to where to go next with her writing, she would think about Patsy and wondered if Patsy would agree. All of a sudden, the next song Willie’s Roadhouse played on her car radio would be a Patsy Cline song which gave her the confirmation she needed!

Patsy and the author were born and raised “in the same neck of the woods” during their formative years, east of Harrisonburg, Va., in and near the small town of Elkton, at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. No other author who has written about Patsy has lived the life experiences and relationships as this author has, including being distantly related to Patsy.

The Patsy Cline book series are thorough and insightful, sharing considerable amount of information never before shared about Patsy, her family, and historical events which transpired during their lifetimes. To accomplish this, the author has spent over 3 years researching and analyzing court documents, books, newspapers, and articles. If there was anything that Patsy asked of her friends, it was to speak and to write the truth. The author has noted many mistakes made by prior authors and have corrected those mistakes in her writings. This has included settling many issues that have been left unresolved about Patsy and her family over the years.

The author first saw Patsy when she was a child. Her family and her attended the 1958 Parade in Elkton when Patsy returned home, pregnant with her daughter Julie, to be the Grand Marshall of the Golden Jubilee. The author’s mother and grandmother appear in the famous photo taken of Patsy waving which appears in the book series.

If you are a Patsy Cline fan, this is a must book to read as well as all of the Patsy Cline Book Series.
