Madison Noelle writes small-town romance with big feelings, slow burns, and the kind of love stories that sneak up on you and never let go. Whether it’s a broody cowboy, a cinnamon roll single dad, or a big found family that feels real enough to hug, her characters bring all the heart (and heat).
She writes contemporary romance under Madison Noelle and LGBTQ+ romance under M. Noelle—same swoony vibes, just a different flavor of love. If you like emotionally messy characters, banter that bites and softens, and endings that feel like home, you’re in the right place.
When she’s not writing, she’s probably rearranging her bookshelves for the tenth time, overthinking a text, or bribing herself with a new plant or an iced coffee to finish a draft.

💬 Well first of all, make sure your fire detectors are in good working condition before you read this because JFC the sexual tension and spice is SCORCHING.
Once you manage to cool off in a cold shower and come back to the actual plot, it's just as fabulous as the spice. I just loved this book. Look, I have a part time job and i homeschool and I tore through this book in under 24 hours.
Hutch is a dedicated playboy who uses no strings attached to protect himself and Ginger is the single mom who is the only can break through his defenses to his his soft, squishy, swoony heart inside.
I really fell in love with the characters- they got under my skin, like I was so immersed in their world it felt like I was a part of the family, and it was great to "catch up" with Finnley and Hudson from the second book (I desperately need to read the first one lol). Really, all the side characters are great
My only complaint was the specific reason the 3rd act breakup happened. I don't usually care if it happens or not, except for one reason that usually makes me want to throw my Kindle. TBF, it was basically the only way it could go but still 😂
Either way, this book is fabulous and you need to read it.
This whole series is amazing and I love these character so much but this feels like a series favorite. I connected so much to Ginger and her story and even some of the thoughts/struggles Hutch felt.
I love the first bit of the book on the road trip and how Ginger starts to let go of control, plus the spice was 🔥. I just love everything about this book (okay maybe not the 3rd act but the comeback grovel helped).

Thank you so much to Madison for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first Timber Forge novel by after a rec from one of my best book babes. I am so thankful I got an opportunity to ARC this novel.
Single parent trope? I am ALL about it. I love the raw honesty, the way partnership + friendship are built slowly, and the kind of love that pours not just into Ginger but into her kids too; it's genuine and generous. I loved that she was realistic and relatable - an imperfect mama doing her absolute best and struggling to put herself first.
Bonus points for Hutch: he’s got a filthy mouth, an emotional backstory, and knows exactly how to put his thang down, flip it, and reverse it.
I devoured this book and now I have to binge the rest of the series immediately.
This is a book where I am so glad to have come across it. I didn’t read the first two but will be going to do just that. I loved everything about this book, from the forced proximity, the road trip, the reformed playboy/bad boy and the moments between these two.
Ginger is an FMC a lot of women can relate to. Constantly giving to everyone else to the point she had nothing left for herself. She was fire and sass and the way she could get under Hutch’s skin was great.
Hutch was a fortress but I loved the way Ginger held him accountable and didn’t let him use excuses. But he always was there when it mattered. His growth throughout this story is amazing.
I have enjoyed this series so much and this book definitely did not disappoint at all. I love this authors way of writing and crafting characters that you can connect with. Loved reading about Ginger & Hutch. These characters will stick with me awhile & I thoroughly look forward to her next book.
I was lucky enough to be an arc reader for this. I absolutely loved Ginger and Hutchs story. The banter between them. The tension. It's such a great story.
I'm usually a fan of Reformed Playboy trope but in this case.. it gave me a MAJOR ick. Mainly because he was still ACTIVELY a playboy and I didnt want to hear him be with other people.
I did enjoy the ending and once they got together, it was off the charts with chemistry and spice.

Hutch Hayes finally got his book and wow, it was worth the wait. Resident playboy with a man bun and too many walls to count gets trapped on a road trip with Ginger, a single mom of twins who has no time for his chaos. Sparks fly somewhere between state lines and beach parking lots, and it’s the perfect storm of bickering banter, forced proximity, and simmering attraction that turns into something neither of them can deny.
I loved watching the commitment-phobic bachelor fall first. Hutch, with all his emotional baggage, sees Ginger not as “too much” but as exactly enough for him, for her boys, for the life he didn’t think he deserved. Ginger, fierce and stubborn, refuses to let him call the shots or hide behind his past, and their dynamic is equal parts tender and spicy (and trust me, the belt scene will live rent-free in my head).
This book is a cocktail of small town charm, road trip shenanigans, filthy banter, and found family vibes. It’s angsty in all the right ways, swoony where it counts, and spicy enough to fog up your Kindle screen. Hutch and Ginger prove that sometimes the long way home—the messy, winding, backroads way—is the only route worth taking.
I received an ARC copy and wanted to leave an honest review.
I am new to the Timber Forge series but let me tell you – I am a hooked! The way @authormadisonnoelle writes a MMC and FMC love story is the definition of perfection. The characters are so dynamic and real, and you see that in their flaws, and how they grow together – it really is something beautiful. Everything about this book was so incredibly relatable and that was my favorite part.
I was wrapped up in Hutch almost immediately with how he distances himself from everything by posing as this grumpy/closed off guy – but you could see deep down on the inside he was just broken and protecting himself from ever being hurt again. Hutch is hands down one of my favorite MMC’s that I have read in a while.
Enter Ginger a single mom, that is just trying to keep her head above water all while being present and showing up for her twin boys. She was putting on the supermom mask, all while putting everyone’s needs above her own and suffering silently – it was incredibly relatable. Ginger is that FMC that you know will linger with you for a while, you celebrated her victories in her story as if they were your own. I am obsessed with her. Hutch and Ginger’s love for one another was so heartwarming and was so clear in the ways they handled one another with such care and empathy. They clung to one another desperately to try to heal themselves through the other – and without even knowing it.
Also, all hail to Madison Noelle, because that girl can write the most delicious spice (holy hell the bathroom scene) – like cannot put the book down must have more, break into a sweat spice! You could feel their tension through my kindle; her spice is breathtaking.
Do yourself a favor and read this series! Thank you so much for allowing me to ARC read this story I am addicted and cannot wait for more!
What to Expect: 🧡 Enemies to Lovers 🧡 Reformed Playboy Single Mom 🧡 Road Trip 🧡 Forced Proximity 🧡 Small Town Romance 🧡 Found Family
“When things are hard, when everything falls apart… if it’s me and you, it still feels right.”
The Timber Falls series by Madison Noelle is one of my favorite small town romance series! Every single one of her characters is so dynamic and utterly human. They are flawed and have moments where they mess up or say the wrong thing, and that just makes their stories so relatable.
“…you’re mine. You and those boys. Have been since day one. I just didn’t know it yet.”
I’ve been waiting for Hutch’s story since book one. I had no idea the level of heartbreak that he was hiding. The truth of why he prefers to live in his van-a-gon alone with only his dog, Oakley as company. This man needs all the love!
“I’m not whole without you, Ginger.”
Ginger is a single mom just trying to navigate what’s best for her twins but also for herself. Her inner thoughts and worries were insanely relatable. I’m not a mom but I am a nanny, and it’s so easy to let your needs be neglected while caring for little humans. I loved everything about Ginger Westbrook. She comes off a little prickly but Hutch loved every aspect of who she is.
The caretaking in this book was so sweet! Hutch might not see himself in that role, but he hands down was wonderful at it.
The spice between Ginger & Hutch was literally off the charts. They just have so much chemistry, that when they are together it radiated off the page. Madison’s brand of spice is SUBLIME.
“You want me to tie you up with my belt, filthy girl?”
I can’t recommend this series enough! Follow me to Timber Forge y’all, the women are amazing and the guys are next level handsome!

Hutch Hayes. Ginger Westbrook. He's the Timber Forge Playboy, Freebird, and lives in his Vanagon..lol. She's a newly divorced, selfless single mom, to twin boys, and a Certified Workaholic who never does anything for herself. Her whole life revolves around her boys and work. After a couple of secret spicy rendezvous, they end up together on a road trip when Wren, Ginger's BFF, and Hutch's SIL arrange for him to take a detour in California to pick her up on his way home from a work trip. The rest as they say is history...lol
I anticipated this book. I am always a sucker for the bad boy, the playboy, etc.. I know...lol..🚩 but I think we can all agree Hutch Hayes is an exception 😉 The spice was off the charts as well. Hutch Hayes, baby!!! Dang!! 😜🥵
I loved everything about this book. I laughed, I cried...oh lord did I cry! I highlighted a lot of stuff in the book but there was one thing that I highlighted that really stuck out to me. I feel like it wasn't particularly relevant to Hutch and Ginger's relationship or anything but it did speak to me.
"Women are resilient, but I’m convinced that’s largely in part because we break in quiet places when we can’t take another second—stolen moments in the bathroom or the garage in between switching the laundry and making dinner. Then, we put a smile on our faces and do it all over again the next day."
This is one of the most honest and vulnerable things that I've read about us as women. Because it's true.
That aside, the rest of the book was great! The story was very real and full of raw vulnerability and emotion. I am loving this series and cannot wait to see who the next book is about.
𝓦𝓱𝓮𝓷 𝓘𝓽’𝓼 𝓤𝓼 by Madison Noelle ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely loved Ginger and Hutch’s story this book was everything I wanted and more! The banter, the tension, the chemistry… it had me hooked from the very first page. Hutch is the tattooed, man bun wearing playboy with more walls than anyone can count. Ginger is a single mom of twins who doesn’t have time for his chaos. But when they get stuck on a road trip from California to Montana, sparks fly. The bickering, the banter, the simmering attraction it was the perfect storm that turned into something undeniable. I just loved Ginger she’s prickly on the outside but fiercely protective of her boys and learning how to stand up for herself again. Watching her open up and start demanding what she deserves was beyond satisfying. Hutch he surprised me in the best ways. He’s quiet, broody, and blunt… until his dirtier side comes out. He adored every side of Ginger. The chemistry was fire, the banter was hilarious, and the groveling at the end TOP. TIER. Hutch Hayes really came swinging to win his family back. The twins, Tate and Jordan, also completely stole my heart. They’re funny, sweet, and their growing bond with Hutch made the story even more heartwarming. ✨ Tropes you’ll love: 🌻Single mom 🌻 Enemies to lovers 🌻 Forced proximity / road trip 🌻Found family 🌻Small town romance 🌻Pierced MMC
This book was so well written equal parts spicy and emotional. If you love sass, spice, heartfelt moments, and opposites attract, you NEED this book in your life.
"Something about this man calms my storm. Like a buoy in the ocean, he’s reliable and constant and even when my own insecurities seem like they’ll take me under, he’s right there with reassuring words and a smile that rivals the literal sun."
I was lucky to receive an ARC of Madison Noelle's newest book, When It's Us (book three in the Timber Forge Series). It follows the story of Ginger and Hutch.
I was excited to return to Timber Forge!
Ever since meeting Ginger and Hutch in When We Were Us, I have been impatiently waiting for their story to learn more about their backstories and the shared history they have.
I loved Ginger and Hutch's story and thought they were perfect for each other.
I adored Ginger and found her to be such a relatable FMC. She wants nothing more than to be the best mum possible to Jordan and Tate. You get to see her come into her own alongside Hutch, showing her how strong she is and what it means to be supported and loved.
Hutch took me by surprise, but I am not complaining because that man knows how to treat a woman! My heart broke for him after learning about what happened to him all those years ago. I loved the way he cared for Ginger while she had a migraine and helped to look after Jordan and Tate is perfection.
The banter between them was everything! I loved how they pushed each other's buttons and riled each other up.
It felt like Madison was trying to kill you with the mutual pining and sexual tension that just kept building between them. It was pure torture! But let me tell you, it was worth it when it finally happened!!
I was not expecting the emails Hutch wrote to Ginger and the house to hit me right in all the feels like that.
I can not wait to read the next book in the Timber Forge Series!
Thank you so much to Madison Noelle for this ARC 🤍
Ginger is kind, sassy, and kinky. I love that she realizes she can still be an amazing mother & be herself too. Watching her open up and start standing up for what she believes was such a good feeling to experience. The banter between her & Hutch was fun and their chemistry was fire.
Hutch.. he is soooo fine. A man bun, tattoos, AND a piercing? YES PLEASE🥵 That man sure is good with his hands and his words *fans face*. He might seem like an arrogant playboy at first and he definitely is not perfect but he has a good heart. He helps Ginger feel free to be whoever she wants to be and I love how he shows up for her when she thought she had nobody to lean on.
I found that I could relate to Ginger in a lot of ways. I used to put myself last and also had family that made me question my self-worth. Thankfully, like Ginger, I had some amazing people come into my life who helped me become who I am today. So shout-out to the author for making your FMC so real and relatable.
This book was everything I thought it would be and more. If you are a big softy like me it will most likely make you cry. That's okay though because this story does end with an HEA.
If you love small-town romance mixed with a bit of forced proximity, then I 100% recommend this book.
I seriously cannot sing enough praise about this book. I want to shout about it from the rooftops, and this book is most definitely going down as one of my favorite small town romances of all time. Madison Noelle is a first time author for me, so I went in blindly, not really knowing what to expect, and I was completely blown away. When I tell you I ran SO fast to add books 1 & 2 to my wishlist—I couldn't get there fast enough. This book felt like a cozy hug, yet at the same time the heat was turned ALL the way up. Hutch’s filthy mouth had me blushing, and I could feel the chemistry between him and Ginger practically in the room with me as I was reading. This story has so many things I love...enemies to lovers, spicy tension, incredibly hilarious banter, angst, yearning, and so 👏 much 👏 character growth. Madison perfectly balanced the warmth of a small-town romance with the hot intensity of a dirty mouthed pierced and tatted MMC (you read that right, friends—he is pierced AND tatted *swoon* 🙂↔️), a strong single mom FMC, found family, second chances, and love. If you’re looking for your next small-town romance obsession, When It’s Us is the book you need to read.
It’s release day for When It’s Us by Madison Noelle!!! Happy Hutch & Ginger Day!!! I am lucky enough to beta read for Madison and let me tell you, when she sent this to me I. Devoured. It. I actually had to make myself slow down so I could do my job as a beta reader and not miss anything. This is book 3 in her Timber Forge series. I loved the two first books and I didn’t think that another MMC could replace Hudson (book two, What About Us) as my favorite but Hutch did, I just love him SO much! This is the story of Hutch and Ginger. Ginger is a single mom and best friends with Hutch’s sister in laws. In the book they go on a road trip together and what starts off as a friendship with benefits turns into so much more. The banter is this book is freaking fantastic!! Other amazing things that you’ll find in this book are… Reformed Playboy Pierced MMC Road Trip Hand Necklaces Single Mom Small Town Romance Forced Proximity Found Family I love this book so much! I love the series! I recommend all of the books! I’ll definitely be promoting When It’s Us all day so you’ll get to see more teasers that’ll make you want to dive right into this fantastic and spicy love story!
I was so excited to head back to Timber Forge, especially for Hutch Hayes - and man! It was a great return!
Hutch and Ginger are the definition of opposites attract, and I have loved every second of the two of them! He is a man of few words, unless his dirtier side is showing, and she is the queen of sass! Their relationship begins in earlier books, but you really get to know them on their road trip from California to Montana.
And Tate and Jordan? These boys are so fun, and love their mom so much. I really enjoyed them opening up to Hutch and becoming more comfortable around him.
This book was so well written! The spice was spicy, the love was so good, and the groveling at the end of top tier. It takes a big man to realize when he is wrong, and Hutch Hayes came out swinging to get his family back!
While this is the third book in the series, and is considered an interconnected standalone, I highly recommend starting at the beginning. Mainly to meet more Hayes men, but their stories are good too!

When It's Us is book three in the Timber Forge series and is Ginger and Hutch's story.
This book has everything you could want! The banter between Hutch and Ginger is top tier. Hutch is the definition of playboy and Ginger is a single mom to twin boys. They go on a road trip together to head back to Timber Forge, and this is when the story takes off.
As they go on their trip, the chemistry is off the charts. Hutch hasn't been able to get Ginger out of his head after their encounter a year ago. Both of these characters have great development and lots of layers to them. Beneath his playboy exterior, Hutch is sweet and encouraging. Ginger is trying to figure her life out and Hutch is so good with her.
This story is wonderfully written with all the feels! Releasing September 23, 2025. I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
Having not read the first two books of this series, I wasn't sure what to expect. Although I didn’t know much about Ginger and Hutch, especially their backstories had been shown to us in previous books, I went into this book blind, but I still fell in love with this book, and I felt like I did know these characters on a personal level once I got to actually read.
When It’s Us was such a perfect read, and I couldn't have put it down even if I wanted to, it was just that good. I adored every character we got to see throughout, and I just knew I was going to love this family and how close they were.
Ginger, as you know, is a badass mom to two twin boys, but not only that, she’s our fmc who has such a kind soul and is really such a strong woman, and I adore her so much, and honestly, I'm glad that by the end, she's able to really get to experience the happiness she deserves.
Hutch, our MMC, is for sure the whole package. Although he struggles with many things, he’s still a strong character, and I really felt bad for him when I got to really see the true person buried underneath what they are trying to hide. He had such a strong character development, and I just loved him so much for overcoming his fear of relationships and losing someone he cares about.
Despite both of them having gone through their fair share of trauma(problems), they still found their way to one another, and I really think they were meant for each other from the beginning. I was honestly grateful to be able to read this and get to experience a story that focused on serious things and really brought us something real and truthful.
An absolute bonus of getting to read this was getting to experience a good love story between these wonderful characters. It truly had a good plot and storyline, and my gosh, did it have the spice to it🔥🔥
Overall, I highly recommend this book, and although I haven’t read the first two books in the series, I still felt like I knew what was going on, and I was still able to follow along with the storylines.
After reading When It's Us, the third book in the series, I am definitely going to go back and read the first two books so that I can meet the other characters that I was introduced to in this one.
Thank you to @authormadisonnoelle and @lunaliterary.management for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This is Book 3 in the Timber Forge Series. Ginger and Hutch had an encounter at a wedding, but Ginger left still annoyed with the cocky man who gave her a blasting O…. Fast forward a bit, and Ginger is all alone after her children are with their father and her best friend wants Ginger to visit and ropes in her brother, Hutch to collect Ginger and bring her to Timber Forge. A road trip she absolutely doesn’t want to do, but agrees if Hutch keeps his hands and thoughts to himself.
Wowzas. What a book. I inhaled this like nobody’s business. Firstly, Hutch and Ginger were perfect for each other. I loved their ‘dislike’ towards each other…actually, it was more Ginger but I just loved the way Hutch reminded her of what she does like about him 🤭 Poor Ginger. She really was just lonely and she seemed to live her life for others, but Hutch was there to show her she can make her own choices. She was funny, but also a little lost. Hutch was hands down GORGEOUS and I was feral for him. He’s your typical ladies man, bored of jumping into bed with multiple women. I really loved seeing him grow and open up to Ginger.
I’ve not read the other books in the series, but I need to because I really enjoyed the writing style and the way you feel as if you are with the characters.
When It's Us is a sweet and spicy romance that brings two reluctant souls together for a moving romance.
This book packs the spice! But what I truly loved was the way it weaves the emotional chord between leads Ginger and Hutch. Hutch is fleeting lover, he has no interest in settling down. Ginger is a mother and a woman looking to rediscover herself, but not at the cost of engaging chaos. She yearns to find herself but to also find a stability for her family. Given their prior history, she certainly does not expect Hutch to fit that part. But as they forced proximity leads to desired proximity, Ginger sees in Hutch what he fails to see in himself-- a man who can show up and stay. A man worthy of love and promises of forever. In turn, Hutch encourages Ginger to give time to herself for herself-- to live for herself as a woman, not just a mother.
This is a really lovely romance that focuses on discovery and chances. There's plenty of spicy, but it's the emotional pull that tugged at my heartstrings most.
Thank you Luna Literary for this eARC, I leave this honest review voluntarily.
Thank you to Madison Noelle and Luna Literary for the opportunity to read and review this ARC!
Okay, so let me just start off by saying that I loved, loved, LOVED this book!! This was everything I wanted in a spicy contemporary romance novel!! This is technically book three in a series, but it can be read as a standalone!
Ginger and Hutch have some history going into this story, and what really feels like a kind of "hate to love you" vibe between them. The chemistry is absolutely there, and the tension is OFF THE CHARTS from the very beginning. There's plenty of spice in this book and it is SCORCHING!
I loved the whole vibe of the forced proximity on the road trip, and how they literally just could not resist each other. But don't be fooled, there is absolutely plot in this story too. We really get to know these characters and they were so well written that they felt like real people. I really enjoyed Madison's writing style in this book and will definitely be reading more by her and in this series!
Book Review When It’s Us (Timber Forge book 3) by Madison Noelle
Ginger is a divorced mother of twin boys, who is simply existing for her boys and her business, until self proclaimed fu*k boy Huck Hayes bends her over a workbench and introduces her to God.
Huck is a carefree, successful owner of a custom home construction company who lives in his VW van that he travels in across the country when he is not at his homebase in Timber Forge, Montana. Something in Huck’s past causes him to make the decision to never be in a romantic relationship, only sleeping with random strangers. No repeats. No kissing. Until he meets the fiery best friend of his new sister-in-law.
Can these two get out of their own way and find true love together? Well, I’m not going to spoil it for you. You’ll just have to check out this sweet love story to find out for yourself.
Although I don’t believe it is necessary to read all three Timber Forge novels, I recommend you check them all out. You won’t be disappointed that you did.
This was my first Madison Noelle book that I have read and I really enjoyed it.
We meet Ginger & Hutch in this book and I really enjoyed reading their story and getting to know them better. Ginger doesn’t have room in my life for a man like Hutch Hayes. Not when she has twins to raise, and a business to run, and no margins for chaos. Because if I let him in—if I fall— I need to know he’s not going to disappear.
Hutch doesn’t do relationships also can forget about the feelings. But then there’s Ginger Westbrook—an anxious single mom with a sharp tongue. She’s all fire and fight, with a fierce ability to get under my skin. But she looks at me like I’m worth something. Like I might be more than the playboy with jokes. I want to be that man for her. But the past is a shadow I can’t shake, no matter how hard I try. I don’t know if I can outrun it; but maybe with her, I don’t have to.
Thank you Madison Noelle and Luna Literally for allowing me to read this book before it released.
Once again, drawn to a small-town romance, I recently finished "When It's Us" by Madison Noel. This is the third book in the series, but I haven't read the first two. Madison is a new author to me, and the story revolves around Ginger and Hutch. Ginger's best friend arranges for Hutch to pick her up for a road trip from California, where he has been surfing, back to Montana, where Ginger will spend the summer with her twin boys.
Ginger is an uptight, type A personality single mother, while Hutch is a tattooed, man-bun-wearing, pierced playboy who is firmly closed off to relationships. Despite their differences, these two share sizzling chemistry. It’s heartwarming to witness Hutch's emotional growth, especially in his relationship with Ginger's twin boys, Tate and Joyden, who he completely falls for over the summer.
I am definitely going to read the first two books in the series because I love the family dynamics in this book. If you haven't yet explored Madison Noel's writing, I highly recommend this series.
This book had banter that was unmatched between the main characters. The road trip made it feel like the perfect end of summer read for me. I loved how the MMC ‘gentle-side’ started to show through during the road trip. Later in the book, the family vibes were solid, I like how characters from the previous books were included in this book. The challenges that the MMC had and had to figure out made his character more vulnerable and stronger and more real. This book is such a good read and will make you feel different emotions throughout this book. This is book three in the series however it can totally be read by itself. If read in order, you will have more of a connection between the other characters in the book.
*I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, this is my personal and truthful review.
