Do all men cheat? I don’t know. But I’m 100% sure my husband Marcus has been sneaking around—thinking I’m too stupid to notice. Joke’s on him. I had the perfect life… until I overheard the the feds seized his multi-million-dollar shipment, they’re closing in fast, and his own people want him dead. Before I could run, I got snatched off the streets of London—and woke up face-to-face with a man that even killers kneel to.
Jah. Six-foot-four of quiet danger. Skin marked in ink that tells stories I wasn’t ready to hear. The head of the Mansory Mafia—a brotherhood built on blood, bullets, and loyalty. To him, I was leverage. Just a pawn to use against Marcus. But the way his eyes stayed on me… the way his voice dropped when I clapped back like I wasn’t scared… it lit something wild between us.
Then came the “Be my wife. Have my baby. Or don’t walk out of here.” I should’ve told him hell no. But when his hands touched me like I was sacred… when his enemies circled… and my body started changing with his heir—I saw the truth I’d rather be a queen in hell than a fool in paradise.
Now I’m his—marked, married, and carrying the next king of a criminal empire. The feds want to bury me. His rivals want me gone. And Jah? He’ll drown the world in blood before he lets anyone touch what’s his.
They warned me about the devil. Turns out, he’s the only one who ever kept his word.
If you're a fan of bold and unputdownable African American romance, hood love, and dark Unhinged men, this one’s for you.
Other than me going into this book blind for the most part & not knowing that it ended on a cliffhanger the book was good. When I initially downloaded the book & seen all the various POVs I was annoyed because why but when I started the actually book & was reading the story every POV is necessary & makes the story flow better. I can’t wait to figure out wtf is going on!!!
I wasn’t ready. Thought I was. Thought I knew what I was walking into. But this book? It didn't just give you twits, turns and revelations. it wrenched. Gripped me by the throat and dragged me through betrayal, revelation, and that relentless edge of what now?
And yeah, I hate cliffhangers. Normally, I’d throw my Kindle across the damn room. But this one? I’m not even mad. That ending didn’t feel cheap, but it did leave you with your mouth wide open like WTF gonna happen next.
Now let’s talk about Ramz. Because he made the story for me. That man is pain, loyalty, danger all wrapped in power, broken in all the right places. He doesn’t just steal scenes, he devours them. God, he deserve peace. But will he find it in this world? It rarely gives that to men like him. My heart cracked open for him by the end.
I won't spoil a thing. Just know this: if you're not ready for or like cliffhangers, or screaming at the FMC and her silly silly sister, don’t even start LOL. But if you are... buckle up. Because whatever comes next? I’ll be first in line to see how this story is gong to end, and who is going to survive what comes next.
This wasn't a bad read. It just wasn't great. I didn't connect with the main characters and I had a different storyline in mind. I wish we got to learn about Jah's past history with women for us to be convinced his connection with Yves was real. Because I honestly didn't care for their relationship. I was more interested in Jah being a Mafia boss.
I preferred Rah and Chey's relationship. Yes it was extremely predictable but it was the most engaging. Watching him let his guards down with Chey's unborn child. And I'm glad he went back to save her at the end rather than walking away from their relationship.
I liked the pacing of this story. I just didn't like how repetitive it was and that there was more telling than showing. For example Rah is described as violent and unhinged yet we didn't see any scenes of that. We're told Jah is calculated yet he keeps getting duped and blindsided every second which questions his gangsta.
Yves fake marriage didn't add up because at the beginning Marcus was worried about her leaving him and divorcing him and he wanted to keep the relationship. His character kept changing to suit the plot and increase the drama and intensity. But it was just confusing.
I couldn't stand the references to London or South London or the Jamaican patios being used as it felt cringe and the characters dialogue didn't match the UK accent. I'm from the UK and it felt forced and Americanised. But I commend the author for trying something different.
The cliffhanger wasn't that amazing but I do want to know how the story ends. Hopefully it ends with book 2? Because if not I doubt I'll continue with the series. I'm not as invested with the characters to care enough.
Yves and Cheyenne made me want to slap both of them by the end of this book! Yves for being stupid and even listening to her fake ex after all the BS he put her through. Cheyenne was just a straight dummy for dealing with her baby daddy after he hadn’t tried to contact during her entire pregnancy! I’m with Dom on this one, these two sisters are more trouble than they are worth! Jah and Ramz don’t even deserve this BS!
This was a good book a page turner full of action full of surprises I’m stuck right now because of the ending those sisters man they hit every nerve I have just dumb and dumber but a must read
This book has a great story line but really glaring errors with the dialogue. Jah and his friends being from London but speaking strictly Black American AAEV makes zero sense. This huge error caused the character to be less believable.
Property Of The Mansory Mafia: Brace Yourself! I thought I was ready. I thought I knew what I was walking into. But Property Of The Mansory Mafia didn't just give me twists, turns, and revelations; it wrenched me, gripped me by the throat, and dragged me through betrayal and shocking discoveries. It left me constantly on edge, whispering, "What now?"
A Cliffhanger I Absolutely Hated (Because I NEED to Know What Happens Next!) So, did I throw my Kindle across the damn room? Yes! That ending didn't feel cheap; instead, it left my mouth wide open, screaming, "WTF is going to happen next?!" Seriously, the last 6% of this book had me yelling, "Whyyyyyy?!" and muttering about why this had to be a series! 🫠🙄🤦🏾♀️
Consider yourself warned: This book ends on a massive cliffhanger!
Necessary POVs & What's Next Going into this book mostly blind, I was initially annoyed by the numerous POVs. However, as I read, it quickly became clear that every single POV is absolutely necessary and makes the story flow seamlessly. They truly enhance the narrative and contribute to the unfolding mystery.
I won't spoil a thing. Just know this: if you're not ready for cliffhangers, or you don't enjoy yelling at the FMC and her silly, silly sister, then don't even start, LOL. But if you are... buckle up. Because whatever comes next, I'll be first in line to see how this story ends and who survives! I can't wait to figure out what the hell is going on! Kelly Marie, I need Book 2 like yesterday!
First and foremost this book had so many twists and turns that I did not see coming. Yves at times made me want to jump through the pages and smack her when it came to Marcus because how many times do you need to see tue truth to realize he is not the man for you. And that decision she made at the end I hope that she is playing the long game to save her man and marriage. Jah is everything that Yves need and the way they came together was unconventional but I truly believed it worked for them. Jah and Yves both are calculated and intelligent which makes the perfect power couple which is why I am still rooting for them. Cheyenne caused a domino effect of things to happen trying to get Yves away from Marcus which put them in a dangerous position but things thankfully worked out for them. However she has issues with being alone which causes her to continue to make the wrong decisions and now she is facing the consequences. I hope she is ok in the next part, Ramz is a little unhinged but I understand why because he is fighting demons from his childhood. His crossing paths with Cheyenne changed him in a good way even though they started off with a love hate relationship. That cliffhanger was crazy the way it ended and I can’t wait until part 2 drops I need to see what happens next..
All I can say is damn! There were so many twists and turns and revelations in this book. I hardly even know where to start. I do know that the two sisters are so stupid AF. I am not read clueless ass women in all my life. I can’t even describe the anger that they bring up in me. It is so upsetting how the book ended. I am not a fan of to be continued or cliffhangers. With that being said it is a really good story and I enjoyed reading it. I just hope the next book comes out soon so I can see what actually happens. There are too many unanswered questions too many story holes, and I hope that they all get resolved in the next book.
Went in this book blind but these two sisters have drama following them no matter what happens and Yves went about her actions the wrong way and I can understand the struggle of growing up with the environment she had but it seemed like she knows she was wrong on so many occasions and still she went through with things , she definitely could’ve just sat with her sister and like speak with her ! And the way she played in Ramz face blew mine because you named her … yeah I don’t wanna spoiled but she made me mad a lot lol , Yves definitely put up with a lot but I wish had more of a back bone when it came to that trifling man of hers like nothing he can say should make anything better , and that ending ? Omg I need book two . Good character development, plot is interesting with good twist and the spice . 🫶🏾
This the first time I've read a book by Kelly Marie but when I tell you sis had me by the THOAK!!! Yes I said thoak instead of throat. This book had head spinning and my edges hanging on. Every time I thought I had some shyt figured out I realized I was wrong. That muthafkin MARCUS!!!! He should have been put on a t-shirt. I love Jah and Ramz got a piece of my heart to. I wanna believe that Yves got a plan cause I just know she ain't that stupid. I hope Chey is ok but right now I'm looking at her and her sister sideways.💌💌
Omg I cant believe all this going on Marcus should have been dead. I am trying to figure out what Yves endgame is. I really hope Cheyenne is not dead I cant believe Jerome but that's what she get cause her baby had a good ass baby daddy Ramone an he was hurt. Jah is really hurt also but I hope she bounce back cause he really love her. I love all the Masonary mafia men they are great people
Wow that’s crazy work…This book was well written…Cheyenne should’ve listen to her first mind and just left Jerome alone…Hopefully Yves has a well thought out plan while she took her retarded behind back to Marcus…Hopefully Jah and Ramz can figure this out before it to Kate for them and the Manson Mafia…Baybeh things seem a little fishy to me…Impatiently waiting for Part 2
I absolutely love each and every single line.. but I’m so mad a Cheyenne and Yves idk what to do.. Yves how you let Marcus play in your face like that then still talk to his no good butt… and Cheyenne you really let Jerome back in your life after he told you to get rid of the baby now look at stretch out on the floor..
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster! I found myself laughing at all the perfect moments, feeling a deep sadness as the characters navigated their raw emotions, and even experiencing a surge of anger when betrayal struck. It’s been ages since a story has swept me up in such a whirlwind of feelings!
I was new to this author but let me tell you glad I found her. This book was just wow, didn’t expect the ending and I’m on the edge waiting for the next book. Just wow! Speechless
OMFG!!!!! I’m sooooo disappointed in Yves but Cheyyyyy!!!! The way the tables turned at this point nobody can be trusted. I need book 2 cause I am stressed out!!!!
I really enjoyed reading this book. Kelly you did a good job with this book. It was good from the beginning to the end. That ending has my mouth wide open. I can’t wait to read part 2. This is definitely a must read.
This book was worth reading. Filled with a lot of suspense and twists. I thought for sure Chey baby was by her brother in law lol The plot of this book just kept on thickening. I’m about to download part two now so I suggest you download this one to catch up
What a mess. A strategic move on the cousins part. I wonder what is in store for the girls? They should have told their partners that the cousins were getting in touch with them. No good deeds! I hope I don’t have to wait too long for part 2?
The Mitchell sisters have a bad habit of making poor decisions, then keeping said decisions to themselves, leading to dire consequences. They need to learn communication skills and stop devastating their loved ones!
Im comfortable with 3 stars. These characters are just blah. The story has potential but i feel like as soon as we can get into, the next pov comes in and it feels like the chapters go unfinished. Time progresses but these characters are not changing. same thoughts and feelings over and over smh
First book read by this author and let me say…the amount of emotions this book took me through that I didn’t even know EXISTED… but the cliffhanger did it for me!
Wow Kelly Marie has really done a great job with this banger. From start to finish she keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely purchasing part 2. Great job.
