System Alignment marks the conclusion of Jaxon Reed’s Star Farmer series. I have thoroughly enjoyed every single installment in this collection. Each book consistently drew me in with its complex narratives and kept me engaged with every unexpected turn.

I feel a sense of loss as I reach the end of the Star Farmer saga and hope to see some of these characters in upcoming tales. The world-building in this series is remarkable. I relished the conflicts and characters such as Night Shadow and the bots. Witnessing the formation of a new planet and its development was truly captivating.

The election results have been announced, and a new chapter will begin for the planet's residents. I hope that circumstances improve for everyone living there. Nonetheless, life continues. Everyone will adjust to the new circumstances, just as they have from the planet's inception.

System Alignment is an incredibly gripping and immersive tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat—you won’t want to set it down for a moment. From the very first page to the very last, I was captivated, and even now, I can't seem to let it go.

This book held me spellbound, maintaining my interest throughout all the conflicts and their strategies. What a fantastic series; I just can’t get enough of it. Star Farmer will linger in my mind for many days after I’ve read the final word.

I wholeheartedly recommend System Alignment to all enthusiasts of science fiction! Grab your copy of the Star Farmer series today and embark on an unforgettable journey!

One Series Ends, So Another Series Begins

The saga of Tom Raleigh, hero and protagonist of Jaxon Reed's "Star Farmer" series ends with the twelfth book, "System Alignment." As you will find with nearly fifty tomes, in three other series taking place in the Milky Way Universe, "System Alignment" is well-written and well-edited.
The primary characters, over the span of twelve books have become strong, well grounded people you have grown to care about. The dialogue fits the people and the stories, without going over the top with obscure dialects. The story lines allow the reader to sit back, snuggle in with a good story, and suspend disbelief. The only problem I've had with these stories is that they end too soon.
With the Star Farmer series ending, make sure and pick up the beginning of Tom and Gwen's next adventure in the "Phaethon Corp" series, with "Surplus Marines."

Yea! The election is complete! In a closely fought election with all sorts of dirty tricks, I am happy with the outcome. More couples forming, others advancing in their relationships. The current frontier is becoming civilized and ready to provide technology and military support for the new frontier. Stable advanced settlements helping new pioneers establish footholds growing into roots in new territories (stars, planets, asteroids, and space stations)

Star Farmer to corporate CEO

Alternate universe, SF advanced technology, space opera, base building

Most of the loose ends in this series get wrapped up with this final entry. And a segue way for the author's next space opera series. Above average editing. The author sure loves Texas. Whatever. Nice and mostly neat ending.

I quite enjoyed this series.

I can't wait to read the next one. So much so that I might go back and read the first one again, Pirates of the Milky Way.

Book 12 in the series

The people of Phaethon are having an election to determine which major governing group they will join. There is a lot of politicking, attempts to influence the voters, and some skulduggery. A great story.

A fun space frontier series

A young man moves to a frontier planet, and all hell breaks loose. There is a lot of humor and even more heart in this series. There are many plot lines, opposing organizations, and even sand beasts. This was a great end to the series.

First...this story ties up several threads while opening new arcs to be fleshed out in the next series.

One thing I have noticed is that the volumes are a bit short. Some won't mind that while others will find it frustrating.

In this last volume, there continues to be references to adult behavior...drinking, sex, killing, etc. Most examples are innuendo or consequences shown. Deaths occur to both good and bad people. Not everyone always makes the best decisions. Sometimes obvious decisions are not made, resulting in sub optimal consequences.

But as stories they are, in general, relatively light fare. If you like the "westerns in space" trope, you may enjoy this series.

One last note. This is at least the 4th series in a joint universe. If I would have been a nit more observant, I would have started reading at the beginning. You might want to look into the author 's bibliography to find the details, catch up, and prepare for tge 5th (as far as I know) series in the universe. The first volume was recently published.

Too much bad AI writing

Ouch. The earlier books in the series that the author actually wrote were good. Not only did character development stop, but people regularly stopped acting as their characters were described in the early books.

The tough, vicious League diplomat suddenly decided she wanted to have a baby and move to the suburbs. In fact, almost all the female characters went downhill. In the beginning there were the Fae Phalanx, the tough female rangers. By this book the women just wanted to get married and have babies. And poor Jinxie. She wasn't pretty enough so she was forced to accept uncomfortable clothes and make-up so people would like her.

The AI rambled on with meaningless detail and scenes that did nothing to move the plot forward. Everyone has their own taste. Me, I'm concentrating on authors who actually write their own books.

A single vote can make a huge difference - I wonder if the caster of that vote will ever know how much difference his vote made. It was awesome to see how this frontier planet moved from "anything goes" to lassez-faire libertarian. The author notes that the citizens of Phaeton are looking to change the name of their capital city to something more Texan - that fits, since this planet feels like the Texas Republic when it was annexed by the United States. This is the end of this arc, but I am looking forward to the next series because the author apparently has plans to continue to make the Savages' lives interesting.

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Not what I expected

I really enjoyed the books in this series and was looking forward to this one. However it's been a disappointment. First, it is only 182 pages. It doesn't read like a novellette, more like an anthology. Mr. Reed seems to have had the goal of tying up all of the relationships in the series in neat bows, then introducing new characters to springboard the next series, while leaving other characters dangling. Here's hoping the spinoff reverts back to the excellent writing of the beginning books!

Greatly disappointing

I read all previous 11 books. They were at the very least entertaining. However, book 12 as an organization so mess. It was hard to follow right from the beginning, but then I got chapter 5 and wondered what happened. Was I in a different book. It didn't seem to follow what had gone before.. This book was disappointing poorly written structural mess

Finally the time has come and the vote for planet system to join is at hand. Laughed as the answer rolled in and enjoyed watching it all play out. Made me laugh as always and enjoy the characters and situations. Always fun to read.
