About the author
Nataniël
35 books22 followersNataniël was born in Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape. He went to school at Riebeeck-Kasteel Primary School and De Kuilen High School in Kuilsriver, near Cape Town. He went on to study music at the University of Stellenbosch.
He first became popular as a cabaret and stage artist, but since the 1990’s has also built a reputation as a writer, columnist and celebrity chef. His publications include Dancing with John (1992), Rubber (1996), Tuesday (2001), Food from the White House (2002), Kaalkop (2004) and When I Was (2008). His Kaalkop column has also appeared in the magazine Sarie for a number of years now.

Nataniël holds a very special place in my heart as a storyteller. Thought-provoking, strangely formative and hilariously funny are the words that come to mind when I think of his writing. There is no one who can say it like Nataniël. This collection of stories showcases some of his very best and most beloved works and encapsulates them in a cocoon of imagination and wonder. Just keep in mind that a lot of the stories in this book are in Afrikaans and in English which is something to keep in mind if you only understand one of those languages.

Some strange stories. Didn't finish it. Seems like in his younger days he had quite an imagination... Now he has cooled down a bit.
