Death of a Fairy: a tale of urban fantasy

Rate this book
A short read (approximately 4100 words), this urban fantasy short story is set in a paranormal version of Los Angeles where fairies and elves and goblins coexist with homeless people and cops.

When Margaret first saw the body in the alley, she thought it was a Barbie doll that someone had dropped while taking a shortcut. When she got closer, though, and saw the tiny figure’s fine clothes and iridescent wings, she realized she was looking at a dead fairy.
She’d never seen a fairy in real life before, just in photos, and videos on YouTube, but she had no doubt that what she was looking at was a fairy.
