C.K. Smith’s Romancing the CEO is a compelling blend of romance, drama, and cultural exploration that kept me engaged throughout. The chemistry between the leads is well-developed, with decent spice once the story reaches that point, and Hiro’s spunky, vibrant personality adds a lively charm that makes him a standout character. While I enjoyed the overall pacing and accessibility of the book, there were several areas I wished had been expanded. Rose’s artistic direction, spotlighted in the first chapter, felt underdeveloped and could have added more depth to her individuality. Similarly, her early days in Japan at the language school were quickly glossed over, missing an opportunity to show her personal growth and cultural immersion. The custody battle subplot, though introduced, didn’t receive enough attention to deliver the emotional weight it deserved, leaving it feeling somewhat incomplete. Despite these missed opportunities, Romancing the CEO remains a good read that balances romance with family drama and offers moments of heartfelt connection, making it a story worth picking up for fans of character-driven romance.

Romancing the CEO by C.K. Smith and Dina Ezzeddine is exactly the kind of book that reminds me why I fell in love with office romance in the first place but it also goes deeper than the usual tropes in ways I didn’t expect.
From the moment Rose steps into her new role at one of Tokyo’s elite corporations there’s an electric tension simmering beneath the surface. It’s not just the high stakes environment or the pressure to prove herself it’s him. Kenji Sato is not your standard brooding CEO. Yes he’s powerful controlled and undeniably magnetic but there’s an emotional complexity to him that slowly unfolds layer by layer and that’s what makes this story so compelling.
What truly pulled me in was the chemistry. It’s intense yes but it’s also deliberate. Every glance every conversation every moment of proximity feels charged with something dangerous and irresistible. The authors don’t rush the connection they let it build and when it finally ignites it feels explosive in the best way.
But this isn’t just about attraction. There’s a real exploration of power dynamics ambition and vulnerability. Rose isn’t simply swept off her feet she questions she hesitates she pushes back. She’s aware of the imbalance the risks and the consequences which makes her decisions feel grounded and authentic. Watching her navigate both her career and her growing feelings adds a layer of emotional tension that goes beyond the romance itself.
And then there’s the atmosphere. The Tokyo setting adds a sleek almost cinematic quality to the story. The corporate world feels polished but unforgiving and that contrast between professional restraint and personal desire is handled beautifully.

Okay, you have to read Romancing the CEO by Dina Ezzedine and CK Smith. I just finished it, and I'm still thinking about it…it's that good. If you’re into steamy office romances with intense chemistry and strong characters, this one will hit all the right notes.
The story follows this badass woman and her ultra-powerful CEO boss, and let’s just say... sparks fly immediately. It’s not just the heat (though, trust me, it’s seriously spicy 🔥), but the emotional build-up and slow unraveling of their connection that totally pulled me in.
I loved how layered the characters were…like, you really get into their heads…and the tension between them was so well done. There were a few things I rolled my eyes at (the phrase “CEO Man” comes up more than once 😅), and it felt a tiny bit long in parts, but honestly? I didn’t even care. I was hooked.

Five star review and five star reads. No spoilers. What a incredible book! Characters and the story is incredible. Pace of the story making you want to keep turning the chapter of the story and keep reading the book till the end. That how incredible C.K.Smith is as a author she really gets the story going and pace the story incredible too. 10 out of 10 experience. I highly recommend everyone reads this book right now. Slow build up
I don't know if what I am about to say are considered spoilers now a day so just to be on the safe side Spoiler Alet.
This book starts off with a slow build but it makes sense for the most part since she wants you to understand the past/history and personalities of the characters before they even meet. She also wants to have you understand and feel the hit when certain events happen later on the book. The romance itself isn't really slow burn at all. I fully enjoyed once the 2 of them meet up and start their relationship.

Rose is a fantastic FMC; she is a very strong woman and an artist. She faces many challenges, and I admire how she supports Kenji's son. He is a very clever ten-year-old. Kenji is a wonderful father and a great CEO of his company, and I love that he would do anything to protect his family. There is a lot of tension and a slow burn. I love their romance; it is so good. The spicy level is 🌶️🌶️ . The rate is 🌟🌟🌟🌟 5

enjoyed this book made for a great dual pov love story with what felt like some real life experiences which was a nice touch can' wait for the second book

Okay I mean this was alright, the heat and spice level wasn't that extreme. I really don't think this is a genre C.K. Smith should be writing in. I followed her for a while and love her horrors/thrillers, but romance, maybe she should consider that to be a genre she should leave for those who know how to write it.
Unfortunately, the storyline and plot where fine, but nothing smutty or dirty, its as if she was trying hard to make it a romance story but it turned out to be a love story with dirty scenes in it.
Sorry wouldn't recommend this to anyone, was going to 1 start it, but felt that was too cruel.
C.K. Smith, no offense but I think this genre isn't for you.
