THE OPHELIA LIND #1 in the Ophelia Lind Harbinger #2 in the Ophelia Lind SacrificeOTHER BOOKS BY PETA
Peta Crake grew up in a small town on the south coast of Western Australia, where the idea of fairies and monsters residing in the thick forests was perfectly believable.
After spending nearly a decade living in Japan and reveling in its culture, she turned her hand to writing.
Now living back in Australia with a husband, two kids, a cuddle-addicted cat, and a thoroughly confused dog, she writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance full of strong sassy heroines, surprising heroes and disturbed side-kicks.
Ophelia Lind is not the ordinary human she’d thought. With deities on both sides of her family, her job as a messenger and her secret role as the Harbinger, she struggles and makes being in a relationship with a Demi-god more complicated.
Book 2 did not disappoint. Well written from the POV of the sassy Ophelia, it takes you on a journey to uncover some mysteries.
Looking forward to book 3 and seeing how everything gets resolved.
Disclaimer: While I know the author, this doesn’t affect the star rating.
Okay first up. I could not put this book down. I certainly had to know what was going to happen. But like with Harbinger the ending was a massive let down for me and the storyline touched a few of my pet peeves.
I have put this on my cheaters shelf but it's a murky area. I have a pretty low tolerence for that kind of behaviour and the fact that Aden didn't try to remove himself from that situation at all totally pisses me off and is what led me to mark him as a cheater and a TSTL hero.
The ending totally aggrivated me too. The whole bit with her sacrificing their relationship is a storyline that completely pushes my pet peeves button. If Crake needed to break the characters up for the next book the shindig with cinnamon girl was certainly enough to do so. She didn't need to pull the 'sacrifice the relationship to get a save him' cat out of the bag, she also didn't need to pull out the cat named amnesia and then compound it with Ophelia going back and making friends with Aden because if that's all she can have. So i'm predicting a bit of Ophelia angsting from afar as Aden goes out with some hot chick in the next. Nope... No way...Get lost ... Eff off!
In my review of Harbinger I said that I would wait until reading the 2nd book in the series before deciding if i'm done with them. Yep i'm done with them which is a shame because greek gods consorting with mortals stories are hard to come by. Really annoyed that what was shaping up to be a 4 star read steadily slid into a 1 star read but i felt i couldn't give it a one star review because until the story started going off the rails and hitting my pet peeve buttons i was really enjoying it. But when my pet peeves buzzer starts going off constantly stars start falling off my book rating rather rapidly.
Dissapointed that i don't want to read this series until the end. In the end I just don't see the author's vision of romance being something that i want to experience and make no mistake i read most books for the romance.

This is the second installment in this series, now I will say I wish I would have read number one but that doesn't make this book anything less the spectacular. It takes you to the exciting world of gods and their messenger. While following Ophelia's journey through life and making a decision that will break all the readers hearts to save the man she loves when no one else can. It's a very exciting story that will pull any reader into it. Looking forward to book 3.
