It’s cute. Don’t be fooled by the long list of TW because this is not dark AT ALL in my opinion….. well I guess if you only read cute fluffy romcom then this will be a little dark, it does have some dark elements like murdered, torture, masked man and some kinky sex. But to me this is ivory romance in the scale of darkness 😂😂😂😂😂
It’s a good spice and it’s romantic. So I considered a cute one.
Not one that will live rent free in my mind for ages, but we all know my tastes and this books was child’s play in my arsenal, still was a fun little time.

What can I say to make you read Right Number, Wrong Man besides…a southern gentleman with a Texas drawl wears a mask to be with the love of his life oh, and he killed his brother because he cheated on her. Colt has been in love with Hailey since they were kids, but she always thought he was a bully and hated her. All Colt wants is for Hailey to be happy, so when he realizes she has fallen for his brother, he walks away. Hailey has been sending spicy videos to her dead husband’s number as a sort of f-you to him, but when she sees that they’ve been read she freaks. Colt was going through his brother’s phone for photos for his mom when he sees Hailey’s videos. He decides this is his chance to be with her. They share in some very spicy texting and videos. Then he makes her ultimate fantasy come true when he wearrs a mask and voice modulator to be with her. Colt’s obsession made me swoon, he’s unhinged with little to no morals making for the sweetest red flag. I don’ know how I.M. Wraith does but the kinks in this book didn’t just meet but exceeded my expectations from Cry, Little Dove. Even though I’m rating this book as 5 on the spice scale, make no mistake there is a story with fully developed and vivid characters that are brought to life with beautiful words. You won’t just be pulled in, you’ll get sucked in and be all the happier for it.

I had such a good time with this book! The MMC was everything I crave in a dark romance, unhinged, unapologetic, and obsessed. His devotion kept me hooked from start to finish, and the spice was chef’s kiss, intense, dark, and unforgettable. If you love a twisted romance with heat and an MMC who would do anything for his girl, you need this on your TBR.

I WAS SO LUCKY TO GET THE ARC OF THIS SO LETS FLIPPING TALK.
This book was absolutely fantastic but before reading please please please read the trigger warnings.
Colt is literally the love of my life with his southern manners and psychotic tendencies. And Hailey god love the girl she was genuinely such a kind soul who did not deserve the hardship life threw at her. This book was sexy, romantic, funny, and at some points traumatic which made it ten times better in my own personal opinion.
I highly recommend this book if you like books like lights out. If you do this book is right up your alley

This was the most unhinged yet hilarious dark romances I’ve ever read. PLEASE read the trigger warnings — super graphic scenes, kinks, torture, CNC, knife/gun play and degradation.
Nothing will ever beat a filthy-mouthed, grumpy cowboy, let alone one who protects you, stalks you, gets violent for you & gets on his knees like you’re his last meal. Cowboy in a mask? WHEW. The entire book was a wild ride with the witty banter, extremely spicy explicit scenes and MCs who are full of awkwardness and funny moments.

Thank you I.M Wraith for sending me an advanced copy of this book! What a wild ride!! Daddy Colton is a grumpy masked cowboy with a filthy mouth who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty... This story never falters, it keeps you gripped the whole way through! I binged this in a day because I just couldn't stop. So much spice, so much banter, but it also had me giggling and kicking my feet!

Is Hailey in her right mind for wanting to be with Colt after he killed her husband (his brother)? Not exactly.
Do I care? Nope!
I flew through their story like Peter Pan on his way to Neverland and thoroughly enjoyed the darkness of it all. And when I say dark? I mean DARK. Really. Read the trigger warnings. As we would say in Dutch: dit is andere koek.
A not-so-cute-but-fun-nonetheless read this was! 🥰

Holy moly this book! This was so dang good. Full of southern charm and smutty and dark romance while also being so fucking funny. I genuinely haven't laughed that much at a dark romance book in a while. Elle Thorpe is probably the closest author I seen to humor in this read. It got me so many times. The one liners from the MMC and the internal monologue from the FMC-chef's kiss. Overall, if you want a masked man, southern gent who is a military man with a soft spot for a tiny Chihuahua, and a decades long obsession with his brothers widow. Hailey is a fantastic FMC, she is so relatable and man the love her and her best friend is so sweet. I loved every minute of this read and I absolutely will be recommending it to everyone!

Another one-sitting dark rom-com that I DEVOURED!
Hailey, or Spitfire, is 110% THAT. And I love that for her. Bratty, bold, and knows what she wants, now that her husband has been murdered.
Add in Colton, the older brother of said dead husband, special ops marksman, dutiful cowboy, and daddy dom? She’s even brattier, and he (or rather, him as his alter ego) gets to tame her.
This has INSANE kinks. Please check warnings, because they include shrink wrap, Russian Roulette/g*n play, and a drowning kink. Seriously, trigger warnings (but oh so worth it).
This was a 4.5⭐️ for me and if more come out in this little world, I’ll be the first to line up.

Doberman MMCs. Colton…..Yes sir you were the perfect mix of morally black and sweet southern gentleman all rolled into one. Hailey had the perfect sass to keep him on his toes but also make him work for her.
This was a fun dark and rom com like story. I really enjoyed the balance of it having dark stalker mark themes sprinkled with witty banter and lines that had me chuckling. Their chemistry was toe curl worthy and had me kicking my feet a few times. Definitely check your TWs before diving in but enjoy the wild ride!

When I say I want a Cowboy Dark Romance, this is EXACTLY what I mean.

I’m obsessed. To put it simply.
Would you ever fall for a man that’s been pining over you for the last 15 years, carries your “hey kitty” charm on his sniper, and when he returns from service, murders his brother (your husband) cause he found out he cheated on you? Well that’s exactly what happened to Hailey, our female mc.
Hailey, married to a drop kick of a man, doesn’t really mourn the news of her husband, Mike’s death. Instead she’s relieved. After wasting so many years with him, she takes this as a chance to regain herself. Explore what she likes. Create herself a new. And in this new life of hers, starts sending explicit videos of herself to her ex husband’s disconnected phone number. But unfortunately, or I guess fortunately in this case, is shocked to find when suddenly a read receipt shows up under her latest video. Horrified, she apologises to the new person who now owns her ex husbands number, but their is a catch.
Colt, our male mc, absolutely adores Hailey. But after taking the fall for his brothers cruel prank in highschool, has to live with the knowledge that his love Hailey, now absolutely hates him. What’s a man to do? So he lingers in the background, secretly helping Hailey when he can. Sending her flowers on her birthday, giving her gifts by leaving them at her front door. But ofc, she thinks it’s Mike giving these gifts. So his efforts go unnoticed. When colt finds out his brother cheated on Hailey and feels no remorse, he knows he has to take this bastard life into his own hands, and do away with him. He must pay for the hurt he caused Hailey. A few months after his death, his mum asks him to go through Mike’s phone looking for photos that could be used for family photos. But once he turns on the phone, he’s completely stunned to find videos of Hailey rolling in one after the other. This begins his secret relationship with Hailey under the name Jax. She never got to experience romance or passionate sex, but if he plays his cards right, he could start a secret relationship with her, fulfilling both their fantasies… What could go wrong?

If I’m honest, I don’t normally go for southern charm styled characters (and books). But this….THIS! May have won me over.
I could not put this book down. So many times my jaw absolutely hit the floor! And brownie points if you find the vine reference in there I reckon 👀🤣 I laughed so hard.
And honestly I think the funniest thing I read in this book is this line:
“I might need jaw surgery after giving him head or maybe I’ll choke to death on that thing. But is that going to stop me? No. The slut inside me is stronger than my survival instincts. Darwin would hate me.”
Do yourself a favour and read this book. It’s so dark, spicy, funny, sweet, just all the things, with a murder mystery in the middle. Yes, you heard me.

If I’m honest, I don’t normally go for southern charm styled characters (and books). But this….THIS! May have won me over.
I could not put this book down. So many times my jaw absolutely hit the floor! And brownie points if you find the vine reference in there I reckon 👀🤣 I laughed so hard.
And honestly I think the funniest thing I read in this book is this line:
“I might need jaw surgery after giving him head or maybe I’ll choke to death on that thing. But is that going to stop me? No. The slut inside me is stronger than my survival instincts. Darwin would hate me.”
Do yourself a favour and read this book. It’s so dark, spicy, funny, sweet, just all the things, with a murder mystery in the middle. Yes, you heard me.

Colton has been in love with Hailey since school, unfortunately she only had eyes for his good-for-nothing brother and married him. Hailey has tried everything to make her marriage work, but when she finds out her husband has been cheating on her, she kicks him out of home. Colton is back home and found out his brother’s cheating. To Hailey, the love of his life. So he unalives him and promises to take care of Hailey, but she hates him. Hailey sends sexy videos to her dead husband's number, which Colton has. Once Colton sees the video, he cannot back away and creates a persona to be able to do all those dirty things he has dreamt about for years.
Colton is so much fun! There are little hints here and there that he loves Hailey. When they have their first sexual experience, he’s really nervous because he’s afraid he’ll be an awful lover to her. He is kind, he pays a lot of attention to what she likes, showers her with gifts. He cares a lot. He has his personal charms to remind himself of her while he’s away in military.
He has endured a lot of pain because while he adores Hailey, she hates him because of a prank gone wrong in school. Hailey finds out that Colton is actually someone who cares about her and knows a lot about her favourite things. It’s really cute seeing her come to terms that Colton is obsessed with her, and she was wrong about a lot of things.
Hailey is not really a bad person, she’s actually a hard-working woman, who thought that she could be a positive influence in her ex-husband’s life. Mike is the opposite of Colton. He never cared, he never gave her the attention Hailey deserved. She thought Mike could change and they could be happy, but instead she found out most of her past was a lie and the only person she thought hated her to the point of bullying her, was actually the love of her life sacrificing himself to make her happy.
“Right Number, Wrong Man” is spicy and incredibly dirty, but it also talks about pain. Hailey is in pain because of her past and because of her ex-husband, and Colton suffers because he watches the love of his life being miserable. While Mike never changes, neither do Colton and Hailey. Colton is still very much in love with Hailey, and while Hailey does change her opinion about Colton, she keeps her love of slash/horror movies. Colton and Hailey are just perfect for each other because they don’t need that, they don’t need to change to be happy. They match each other freak.

What a fun read! Dark rom com with a Southern, morally grey MMC who yearns and obsesses in the best way and a feisty FMC who is exploring new things and putting herself out there.
I really enjoyed this book. The author has a way of writing dialogue that is so realistic and fun to read. Had me laughing out loud so many times. The backstory of the characters was so juicy! I loved getting that extra insight into their relationships and personalities.
This one is spicy and has some dark elements. Take heed of the authors note at the beginning and check your trigger warnings as needed.

Where to start...at first I wasn't sure I was going to be a fan of Colt, but damn his redemption arc pulled through! This was such a good read, with angst, banter, and a delicious morally gray-to-black (and pierced!!!) MMC.

First of all this is my first ARC so all of the thanks to I.M. Wraith! Secondly, GODDAMN the spice was spicing. The duality of the dual relationship between the characters…the mix of plot and jaw dropping smut. Truly chefs kiss. I adore this deadly little southern cinnamon roll of a man. The yearning. The filth. The way he knows her so well. I’m also a major fan of the reclaiming of sexuality and the FMC healing enough to be her most honestly erotic self…let your freakiest of freak flags fly! Will definitely be rereading!! 5 well earned stars!

As a quick smutty read, this book gets top marks. I soon realised this was not a book I could read on the bus ;)
I guess, due to the contemporary nature of the book and my experience in life *giggle*, I had to work hard to suspend disbelief but I didn't mind.

You had me when you mentioned Texas because I’m from Texas lol so you sold me definitely!
But anyways… Where do I begin from shocked but had me falling in love with this book within a pages. This is my first time reading from I.M Wraith and it is definitely NOT my last. I cannot wait to read more from I.M Wraith. Thank you giving me the opportunity to read.

When I first started reading this ARC, I was uncertain whether it was for me, as I need my main character to be likable, and Colt starting the series by killing his brother had me wondering. My goodness, did I bury those apprehensions quickly. Colt is just absolutely enchanting. This book delivers instantly on the hate with our leads and delivers with the character growth.
Hailey is a recent widow and is having difficulties with her brother-in-law, who is in town since the death of her husband. Like an onion, we get tiny layers of the character that is Colt. Due to a series of amusing events, he and Hailey develop an anonymous relationship via text messaging. The entire dual life of Colt and Hailey's relationship was such a fun ride. All the banter between these two had me hooked. The story played out well, and I VERY much enjoyed this read. I highly recommend anyone who likes southern charm, stalking, and kink exploration. 2/2 with I.M. Wraithes. I am your target demo and love being part of your ARC team.

Colt. Colt. Colt. He’s basically everyone’s dream man with an accent who would kill anyone who looked in his girls direction and I AM HERE FOR IT. He’s stubborn as hell, and gets in his own head a lot but it’s honestly such an accurate description of a real life military man.
Hailey? Now, she’s something else.. I don’t understand how she could’ve spent a whole decade married to Mike.. but I’m glad that she’s out of the trenches and finally sees that Colt’s been in front of her forever.
I absolutely loved this story line, and I love how Hailey found out who Jax was. It definitely kept things more interesting.
Again, the description of Colt is so good that I actually was thrown off by some of his actions and demeanor towards the end. The spice? Yeah, it’s SPICY. Not at all what i would’ve seen from Colt because he written like such a vanilla guy. LOL

Let me say I’m not one to usually pick up a rom-com but who can resist a masked man 🥵!? The banter and tension through out had me full on giggling and squealing. If you love a FMC re-claiming her life then you will love Hailey the way I did. I love how she was not afraid to speak her mind. Colt is just the southern man we all need. From page 1, his love and obsession for pulling on my heart. & as a southern girl myself I appreciated the southern twang in the writing, I could truly hear the voice.
My favorite quotes:
