Mahogany Cooper's broken heart is literally killing her. She doesn't believe she can survive the breakup of her marriage. She's unable to work, eat, sleep, and breathe. Her husband of five years, Julian Cooper, has left her for his friend named Golden Thomas. Mahogany is devastated and feels as though the best remedy would be for Julian to simply come back to her. She believes that's the only way to stop the pain. But both her best friend and her sister insist that she must face the pain that's causing her depression, and detox from the man whom she says she cannot live without. Will Mahogany survive losing her love, or will her broken heart be too much for her to bare?

Be careful what you pray for

This was my first read from this Author. The book started off on 10 and I enjoyed it until the end. I judge a book by the characters. I literally don’t understand Monique’s type of love. I would recommend this book to married, single and engaged people. There were a few twists I was not ready for which kept me reading 😜 I’m looking forward to reading more.

Unbreakable and breathless

This five star read made me laugh, cry, pray, and hang my mouth open. Marissa Monteilh has done a fantastic job of creating and weaving a story of love between Mahogany and Julian. They have settled into marriage at different rate over the seven years. Hence the author's poke at the 7 year itch during a marriage. Mahogany and Julian have an attraction that pulls them part and brings the together. Their marital rollercoaster leads the couple on more twist than a thrill ride at a theme park. A sense of civility comes in their beautiful child. You will ask yourself numerous times,"If a close friend becomes the sidekick , where is the wedded bliss in a three way relationship?" A read for all in a relationship!

This was a great book. It was interesting from start to finish. Mahogany was so lost when Julian told her that he was moving out because he was in love with his best friend. She felt lost as if she could not live with Julian. She practically gave up on life. Golden had some nerve to get smart with Mahogany on the phone. She was also brave for going to Mahogany's job. I don't know how I would have reacted....... Bobby was definitely wrong for telling Julian that he was not Tahiti's father. That was a tough blow........ I loved how the book had 2 endings because I have never seen that before. Overall this book was great!!!! Two thumbs up and 5 stars.... l would greatly encourage people to read it....Good Job Marissa Monteilh.......love you

I absolutely loved this book. I sent me through all the emotions: happy, sad, angry...I really loved how she gave two separate endings that the was so neat! It had me trying to figure out which ending I loved the best. I can't remember the date I read it but I started reading one night at 12am and finished about 5:30am I couldn't put it down. It always stands true secrets will come back to hunt you!
