Anyone who follows my reviews knows that I love a good ugly cry! So, yeah... I went into this one armed and ready... but, the story just didn't successfully grab my emotions even though it did contain a large amount of tragedy and sadness. Perhaps it was the pacing of the story. Everything was happening so fast I didn't have time to connect with the characters and their emotions at all. I felt like the story just needed more depth.
I also did not like the ending... a book laced with so much tragedy deserved an ending with at least a smidgen of rainbows and sunshine. This was not a feel good ending... very bleak.
I had high hopes for this book but it just didn't resonate with me personally... hopefully other readers will be able to connect with this story better than I did.

Fletcher and Savannah have literally ripped my world apart. I have NEVER an I mean NEVER got so attached to two characters and their lives.

Before you read this warning.....YOU WILL NEED TISSUE!!

Savannah is closed off. She has one friend, Lizzy. She likes it this way. She doesn't want to open her heart to anyone. She has good reasons, she has lived a life filled with devastation. Abused by her mother from a very young age and then finding what she thought was love in an abusive relationship at a young age of 17. Then getting pregnant soon after to only then lose her baby boy to her abusive husband. That loss alone is enough to break her soul, she is dealt with the murder of her parents at the hand of a man her mother was cheating on her father with. Savannah is over the attachment to anyone.

Until the day she get one single phone call at work, Fletcher Reilly. What should have been a simple customer service call leads to a road neither thought was possible in their life. Something in Savannah's voice captivates and Fletcher and alters the plans he made for his life. Savannah tries to push Fletcher away but he is not so easily pushed. (I fell in love with Fletcher the instant he showed up in the books....page 5)

"You should run away as quickly as you can and thank God that you dodged a bullet when it came to getting to know me better."

"I don't want to run. I want to hold you.

What happens after this moment is one of the most beautiful love stories I have come across. The author has you so attached to these two you feel that you are living inside of them. This story is real and raw and will gut you completely to the core.

"Shhh, Don't use words. Show what you are feeling."

 photo tumblr_mkfg34L7Ie1rzji9mo1_500-1_zpssttsq1dz.gif

"You've helped me to feel again. You've brought me to life, Fletcher."

Fletcher shows Savannah she is worth love and to feel love and to be loved. She is light that needs to shine on the world. Only Savannah doesn't realize that Fletcher is living in the darkest part of his world. Even though he loves Savannah with every ounce of his being, it isn't enough to fight the demons that are consuming his every breath.

Savannah's love for Fletcher grows beyond anything she has ever expected but her love is slapped hard with the realization that Fletcher's demons are caused from PTSD after his near death tour of duty.

Their life together is a whirlwind of love and happiness on the front but hidden close is the darkness that can not be fought much longer. When Savannah thinks she is close to helping Fletcher overcome parts of his darkness, her world is devastated once more.......

I was a little nervous going into this book because I was fairly certain that my heart was going to take a beating. I was right. This story will make you ponder the question: Does everyone come into our life for a reason?

Savannah is an empty shell, going through the motions of life and not truly living. One phone call from a complete stranger changes that all by helping her face her past, live in her present and plan for her future.

Fletcher is sweet, caring, funny, loyal, charismatic, THE PERFECT GUY. But behind it all he’s carrying a painful burden.

I loved watching their relationship progress and how they were always there for each other. I especially loved seeing how much Fletcher changed Savannah by showing her that she was worthy of love and how he tried so hard to be strong for her. I was happy when they were happy and when they were sad… let’s just say, I felt every ounce of pain. I worked through the hard parts but by 91% I was a sobbing mess.

This is a beautiful love story of two broken souls, hoping to mend each other but sometimes love just isn’t enough. The author does a fabulous job of pulling out every emotion in the reader and I’m so glad that I persevered through my tears and finished….it was so worth it. If you love highly emotional reads, do not pass this book up!

Fault in my feels 10 million gold stars

It took me a few days to get my thoughts in a line to even attempt at writing a review for this baby. Yours Always will reside in my heart and I swear, it will change you as well. So here goes my review for this beautifully epic story.

Once upon a time, there was an author named Rhonda Dennis who wrote a book about a girl named Savannah Mason who had been through so much it was hard to believe that she survived all the heartache. And then there was the boy named Fletcher Reilly, he has been through as much, it’s hard to believe that people survive these atrocities. And then he decided to open the door that leads to my heart and soul, walked right in, settled down for eternity. I’ve been in love with kazillions of characters but I will honestly say this that Fletcher Reilly is one character that I will always remember and hold dear in my heart.

Savannah lead a very simple life, she didn’t have many needs because life had kicked her so many times that wanting something was harder than breathing. So she settled for a life that didn’t have much need in it. She was surviving. And then a tiny little word called happenstance happened and she met Fletcher. The day was like any other day, you wouldn’t know that you’re life is about to change, just like I didn’t know what was waiting for me with this book. An old lady spoke to Savannah, gave her brilliant advice and the rest as they say is EFFING EPIC.

Fletcher met Savannah on a very important day, the significance of the day would reveal itself and blow my world to smithereen. He was incredible, he was sweet and understanding and he was a hero. He found out what Savannah was like and decided to make her more than survive. He decided to breathe life into her heart. What do you do when you’ve been broken so many times that picking up the pieces every time was a heartache in the making? You barely live, you just go with the motion of breathing in and breathing out. You didn’t live, you just survived. So Fletcher Reilly decided to breathe some life into Savannah Mason. He decided to slowly but surely charm and enchant Savannah, he breathed life into her.

Two broken people met and they forged a bond to rescue each other, but sometimes rescuing isn’t possible. Maybe Prince Charming doesn’t always save the day, sometimes it’s up to the damsel to save Charming. Savannah and Fletcher found their happy until they weren’t. Something from the past reared its ugly and ruthless head and decided to smash the happy.

I realized that there are things in life we don’t know about, things we keep from our loved ones. Things that have the power to make us seem less than we are. Things that have the power to end. I found that life is not about just living, life is about surviving. And finding that tiny drop of hope. To not give up. To say no to the evil that resides in us, to fight. But life is also about not seeing the good in the face of darkness. To not see the light at the end of the tunnel because your mind is so badly bruised that you don’t feel anything else other than the stench of the dark. I totally get why you would want to not feel the darkness in your soul. I know and yet I can’t accept it. This story was hard, it was brutal and it broke my heart and yet it is one of my all-time favorite stories.

This story is about people who have lost loved ones in their lives, it’s about veterans coming back from war and not being able to acclimate themselves into the lives they used to know. It’s about the world in general which is chock-full of atrocities but at the same time it’s about taking that one single yet small step to find peace. What do you do when you can’t make the darkness leave your soul? What do you do when you can’ fight anymore? What do you do when your heart is full of love and you decide to breathe for the first time in a long time? What would you do if you were in the shoes of Fletcher and Savannah?

Rhonda Dennis illustrates a story that is true to the core, she wrote about a love story where the boy meets the girl of his dreams and they live happily for a while before reality steps forward and ask them WHAT WOULD YOU DO when you meet your Yours Always? What do you do with the letter, the journal? What do you do when secrets are revealed? Well what I did was cried buckets and felt my soul rip in half. I did chant no no no no and send Rhonda a voice message. To say I was devastated to read the letter and the journal would be an understatement. To say I felt lost when Savannah dropped her bomb would be a lie. EVERYONE needs to read this story to learn about not just living life but surviving it.

Ms. Dennis took on some serious topics with just the right finesse that the story is believable. She did not glorify, demean or beg your acceptance. She lays the story out for you piece by piece, and she does so in a way that you will THINK about this story for a very long time. The quality of the writing is beyond what I had expected and I am so thankful to a friend for recommending it.

Savannah and Fletcher’s story is about two utterly broken people finding each other when they needed someone most. Their tragic lives will tear you open and leave you feeling as raw as they do. Their love is one to remember! A once in a life time experience that will not be forgotten. Take this journey with them and believe in the “signs!” They exist! After reading this book you will feel so many emotions. From horror, to joy. From shock, to happiness. And then to the ultimate loss. But it will give you hope, strength and an insight into being a survivor. It will give you love….what real love is…

This is a story of not just tragedy but of inspiration! We honestly never know what we can survive until we go through it. I found myself at times laughing with the characters, jumping up and down with joy and then the author rips your heart right out of your chest, only to put it back in again, rip it out and tear it to shreds.

Thank you Ms. Dennis, you have renewed my faith in finding excellent writing and finding an amazing story that will stay with you forever!

My review. The longest review I've ever written.

"This is my third attempt writing this review, so here goes nothing. This is definitely one of those books that will surprise you at every turn. I am typically good at foreseeing the outcome of books and movies, but seriously, this story took me by total and utter surprise. Everything about this book spoke to me on so many levels. Ok...I know this may shock some of you who know me well and are familiar with the endless amount of books I have read, but I must say this loud and clear—so listen up! Yours Always is THE ULTIMATE UGLY CRY for me. There have been a handful of books that have brought out the ugly, lip quivering, nose dripping, sobbing, boo-hoo'ing, unable to breathe cry, but this book tops the cake. I remember contacting the author multiple times, screaming (well typing in all CAPS) and fussing about how much I hated her for breaking me! She crushed me, ripped out my heart, piece by freaking piece. There were moments when I literally could not take any more heartache. But then the author sneaks in some blissful moments, a really remarkable and breathtaking man that meets your every qualification for the ultimate book boyfriend, some pee-your-pants humor, and loads of moments that literally take your breath away.

As always, Rhonda Dennis creates the most amazing characters. The chemistry simply rolls off the page. I was able to connect with every character, and they all consumed me from the beginning to the very last words. The relationships were real, concrete. Everyone was just SO REAL. Each relationship was so beautifully constructed. True, honest connections. Not bogus or fluffed-up ones. Well, one character is totally fluffy. Not fluffy like I'm fluffy, physically speaking, but fluffy crazy, like pink cotton candy, batty eyelashes, and roses fluffy. And you will absolutely adore Liz for her eccentric personality and her resolve to be the ultimate best-friend. She never ceased to amaze me. I honestly doubt I will ever forget the people in this story.

On a serious note, this book focuses on the crippling condition called PTSD and it weighs-in on the darkest of fears, panic, and anxiety. I can personally relate to the feelings of panic, anxiety, and the feelings associated with this disease. I have hands on experience, and I was able to comprehend and emotionally connect with the character effected. The author was so on point! I absolutely love the way wrote this book. At first, you're not 100% sure what's going on mentally speaking unless you are a person who has experienced these types of emotions, this type of pain. I remember thinking, "Wow...I've felt like this before, I truly have." And then when it gets deep, you're truly able to grasp what this character is feeling, and I was just like...Dang! Things just got real! It's seriously amazing, so impressive. There is no way this author hasn't experienced this condition, these raw emotions first hand either within herself, a family member, or a friend. The author delivered passion, true and concrete emotions for our benefit. She gave us an open invitation into this traumatic and mind-numbing condition.

The plot was gripping, page turning. I could not put the book down, not even when I had the urge to toss my Kindle against the wall. The writing was bold and very original. This story felt like home to me. Not only did I relate to this book on so many levels, I truly felt it, deep in my gut. Just wait until you read THE LETTER. OMG! The letter broke me, completely destroyed me. Ahhhh! I will not ruin this story for you. I will not give away anything at all, but I will tell you this...Fletcher Reilly is uhhhhmazing. I love this man! He is so beautiful, intelligent and brave. He is a man on a mission and will stop at nothing to make things right. Then there's Savannah. This woman stole my heart with her quirky ways, her genuine love for life's simplicity, and most of all her strength. Together these characters become two halves of a whole.

Overall, the author delivered a brilliant story of romance, friendship, loss, and love—one that will consume you whole with a remarkably addictive approach."

First let me say that if I could give this book more stars than 5 I would! I RARELY reread a book but this one I had to! The emotional toll it took, for me, was comparable to Taking Chances by Molly McAdams! I originally was lucky enough to beta read & then bought it & reread! I don't think I'll be able to express how amazing this book is but I'll try! This is by far the BEST book Rhonda Dennis has ever written & she's written some "A+" books!

It starts off pretty funny with Savannah & her besty Lizzie working at the power company. She gets a strange call from this guy Fletcher who is calling to check his balance. I can't say it was love at 1st sight because they didn't see each other but there was a connection! Fletcher would've taken her out that night I believe if she would've been game but because of Savannah's past & past heart breaks, she was very cautious! They finally went on a double date with Lizzie & his friend Ben. They instantly fell in love & were married literally months later! As time goes on, we start to learn more about why Sav & Fletch are the way they are! I really wanted to reach in the book & hug them both!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Savannah is quiet, reserved & pretty much emotionless! She doesn't like to be touched or hugged! It's her defense! Young love really wasn't good to her! This molded her into a self sufficient yet shut down woman she is! It was so awesome to watch her grow & open up to Fletcher! It was really awesome to know that it was because of him that she was able to love & be free again!

Fletcher is more outgoing & has this huge personality! I wanted to jump in the book & hang out with him! We start to learn that he's not as "OK" as her leads on to be! As the book progresses we learn some devastating truths about his past also! We learn a little about his military background & his bout with PTSD. Let me tell you this is a real thing to deal with! It broke my heart with the stories that came out!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The story moves along great! Things are going awesome! Then the bottom falls out! Secrets are revealed & I'm left in shambles!! No really I couldn't breathe, think, talk or move!! Shell shocked!! What?? Why!!!??? Totally heartbroken!! I can't even express what this did to me! I kinda sorta recover & BAM another scene comes & hits me good!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Can they pick up the pieces & rebuild their lives? Will they survive this tragedy or will Savannah & Fletcher give in to the pressure of life??

PTSD is real & needed to be addressed! This book is so amazing!! I believe that everything (good or bad) happens for a reason! I believe that people like Fletcher & Savannah are brought together for a purpose & that purpose sometimes is just to teach us a lesson or get us past our own demons!!

Amazing job!! I truly love books that bring out emotion in me! This one did it & did it good!! <3

***** 5 Heart-wrenching Stars

It’s been a while since I had to sit down and really think about how I was going to do a book justice with my review. Yours Always did that to me. As I sit here now, hours after finishing the book, my thoughts and emotions are still all over the place. This is one of those books that reels you in fairly quickly with its genuine, sympathetic characters that you feel could be your next door neighbors. It prepares you for a page-turning, realistic story full of witty dialogue and laugh out loud moments. What it does not do, however, is prepare you for the sensitive, serious subject matter that turns out to be the meat of the book. No, that appears and leaves you bug-eyed with mouth agape. Our heroine, Savannah, plagued by a painfully dark past, is just a surprised as we are to learn that her Mr. Right, Fletcher, has demons of his own. Demons so strong, they are always there, lurking, waiting for choice moments to expose themselves. Without giving anything away (another challenge I encountered writing my review), Fletcher struggles with PTSD stemming from his time as a combat war soldier and tries to protect Savannah from his day-to-day fight with it. As a mental health professional, I usually go into reading fictional material based on real diagnoses skeptically as they are often portrayed overdramatically, insensitively and well, simply unrealistically. Yours Always did none of those. I can tell you that even though I’ve enjoyed the work of Ms. Dennis before (in an entirely different story), I see her and her work in an even brighter light now. Dennis has earned my respect and admiration as a writer able to capture the essence of a very real problem often stigmatized in our society and honor it in a way that is realistic, raw and heartbreaking, all the while remaining respectful to those affected. I laughed. I was happy. I cried. I got angry, very angry. I held my breath. I was confused. I was angry again. Heck, I was all over the place. I suppose I experienced (on a completely different level, of course) most of the emotions that those who have loved ones with this horrid illness experience. This is how we build awareness. We take something that people enjoy (reading) and we tastefully use it to educate on sensitive topics that are often minimized. Kudos to Ms. Dennis for writing such a profound story about an important subject, that was no doubt carefully researched, and for doing so with finesse. Read this one. It’ll stick with you for some time after you’ve finished, and you’ll recommend it to your friends, no doubt.

I'm floored at how emotional a read this was for me. I went in not expecting much except that it was highly recommended and highly rated. And I never thought such a seemingly simple storyline could wreck me the way it did.

Savannah, the woman who is on the verge of being completely alone in her life as her beloved Grampy is in ever increasing failing health. The woman who is used to fighting her own battles, covering up her scars and living life with just a job, a single close friend and endless lonely nights. Then a funny twist of fate and she's on her way to dinner with a man she met over the phone when he called her electric co. job to find out much he owed on his account. Savannah didn't do the unexpected and she was definitely not spontaneous, but something about Fletcher Reilly, from his very sexy profile pic to his endearing phone manner made her say yes. And so started a whirlwind, yet beautifully romantic affair with the love of her life.

On the surface, this book seemed to be just another story about two broken souls finding their way to each other and saving each from a solitary and closed off existence. But what we get is so much more. Because beneath the tragedy that had befallen Savannah and the horrific war events that scarred Fletcher, there is the underlying PTSD that continues to plague him years after his was medically discharged. A very real affliction that plagues our servicemen and women everyday. Such a raw and delibitating 'illness', the author masterfully covers just how draining and absolutely heartbreaking dealing with it can be such a drain on the person afflicted and those who love them.

I can't tell you how much I cried in the last few chapters. The storyline takes some difficult turns and I was left a weeping mess. It is only through the love that I truly felt for these characters was I able to finish and even have a bit of a smile on my face. It's a well written book that kept me riveted even when things got rough.

Some things went a bit too quickly for my tastes and a few decisions on the part of Savannah had me scratching my head at times. But overall it's a great read and a wonderful exploration as to the affects that war and PTSD can have on families. I applaud the author for giving it a voice.

Yours Always by Rhonda Dennis

Wow Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've read some really good books this year so when I was asked to read this book I knew it would be up there right along side. How very wrong I was!! This one is a brilliant read!. This one will make you laugh, twist your heart up and then leave you in shock. This book will stay with you long after you're done reading it. Rhonda hit this one out of the park. I just can't say enough about how much she has grown as an author. Wow!! Just wowed by this!!!

Savannah Mason was living her life in the safety zone with several tragedies making her look at life through a distorted lens. Fletcher Reilly is a veteran suffering from the effects of PTSD. He may have survived, but after meeting Savannah and helping her see what life can really be, his demons surface spiraling things out of control. Savannah is forced to choose to step away or walk the line right along side of Fletcher. Will her love be enough to help him through his fight or will their relationship buckle under the pressure of an unforeseen enemy?

Yours Always will bring out so many emotions and then bam just when you thought you knew, you discover you really had no clue whatsoever!! From start to finish this book grabs you; keeps you wondering and feeling. It will make you stay awake until 3:15 am from not being able to put it down. Thank goodness I was on vacation when reading this beautiful read. I highly recommend this book! Take a chance on something amazing you won't be disappointed!

I just finished Yours Always and I really liked this story. Savannah is just living an okay life when Fletcher rushes in confusing her but ultimately helping her live life to the fullest. They both have secrets and needed each other to be able to really live. I do not want to give more away but just seriously you should read this

It's a beautiful story. I love how the author really let us inside these characters heads to be able to understand what was going on. Apart of me was at times just liked it. It don't know how to explain it but it was an okay read for me until something happens (you'll know) and then I just was in awe of the characters. It is such a happy yet sad story that I though things wouldn't have happened and then it did and I was just reeling. It also had a good set of secondary characters to keep it interesting. I laughed, I cried, but most importantly it put things into perspective for me. I just love when and author does that for me, just has me thinking about all sorts of things my life.

I will truly remember this book and would definitely recommend it to my girls!

An Absolute MUST read!!!!

This is definitely going to be one of the best books of 2015. This book will draw out every single emotion. You will laugh, sigh, get irritated and cry... but it is so worth it. But most of all it will give you some insight on what some of the men and women who serve this country, as well as their families, go through. Thank you to all who serve this country and protect our freedoms.

Yours Always by Rhonda R. Dennis was a beautiful story, and I have to say this- with some books, I go through the book and read and when through I think to myself "nice story" and it is for the most part but it lacks one thing-substance. This book has so much substance, that in 293 pages I started out intrigued with the way the story was going. By 1/3 of the way through, I knew this book was gong to be epic, by 2/3 of the way through, I have laughed and cried, I have felt such sorrow for someone, that is trying so hard to be invisible, and the other hiding his issues in order to help this person and by the end of the book, I am heartbroken, but hopeful.

Savannah Mason, is a young woman that has had so many tragedies in her life, that she has decided the only way to get through her life is by working hard and not drawing attention to herself so she can just blend into the background and this way she won't cause anything to bring further grief to her life. When we meet her she, along with her best and only friend Lizzy work as receptionists at a power company in Louisiana and are in charge of answering all the calls and taking care of business. One day after getting a phone call from an older woman whose husband called the wrong company, she gets another phone call, this one from a man, who she is rude to after the last phone call, but his voice somehow gets to her and he tells her to look him up, so she does and then he calls her, and they meet.

Fletcher Reilly is that man, and he has his own demons, suffering from Post traumatic stress disorder. He is a handsome man, a caring man, and through gentle persuasion, gets Savannah Mason to talk to him and let her powerful wall slip a little bit. The last straw, is that her last living relative, her grandpa that practically raised her is dying, and she is sitting with him, and Fletcher walks in and brings her food, reading material and sits with her. When her grandfather passes, she thanks him for helping her, and she thinks he will go away and let her be. To go back to that place she has built in her heart where no one can intrude and if she is not noticed she can't be hurt.

Fletcher has other ideas, and slowly but surely he helps Savannah leave that horrible place she has built for herself, and she falls in love with Fletcher. Her friend is so happy, and his friend is happy that Fletcher has found someone also.

But unknown to everybody except the person suffering, is that despite all of the love and nurturing and wonderful life he is living with Savannah, he has been keeping an even bigger secret from her. Part of the secret comes out right before they decide they want to be together when his inner demons come back full force and he almost hurts Savannah, in one of his black outs. Fletcher tells her that he will understand if she does not want to be with him, but Savannah thinks she can make Fletcher better with love and understanding. They go ahead with their plans.

After being married for almost 2 years, Fletcher gets worse and worse and finally his secret is out. Before they got married and he told her his problems he did not tell her everything. This has a devastating effect on everyone. Fletcher decides to go back into treatment, so he says. Unfortunately this is not what happens.

This book was extremely well written, it had a great story line to it, there were twists in the plot I really did not see coming until it happened, that causes even more devastation to Savannah. Fletcher was holding in all his demons, so she could learn to live again and he set her free from all those demons she carried around from the time she was very young. She is happy and in love. But at what cost? What did this cost Fletcher?

Read this book, but have plenty of tissues handy-you will need them.
What happens?

Does Fletcher get relief in treatment?
Does Savannah realize the extent of Fletcher's sickness in time?
What is the biggest twist of all we see towards the end of the book?

You will have to read this book to get all the answers, but if you want to read a book that is well written and will make you laugh, cry, feel gut clenching grief and sadness in one minute, and have you feeling happy and glad the next moment, as you continue reading and make you want to fling your book or kindle across the room when the story gets to be too much to bear-read this book and find out.

But most of all read a beautiful love story about the love between two damaged people as they share their sadness and their joy with you, and the shattering consequences of something they both have no control over.

I gave this book 5***** stars and want to thank the author for writing this book! I also look forward to reading more by this author!

Where do I start? Five stars if I could give ten then it would be ten!

There is a moment in time when in your life it’s necessary to put up walls to protect yourself. Then there are also times when we meet people that chip away at the walls and eventually those walls come down.

Fletcher Reilly (*sighs) is one of those men that walked into Savannah’s life and tore down those walls she spent years building. The spark was instant for them but with Savannah and her walls, it took alot out of her to even proceed with a relationship of ANY sorts. And so the story of Fletcher and Savannah is born out of a phone call. Yes a phone call…..with so many things in both of their pasts I was amazed that either of them were even able to continue to function, to live. Well, living is relative though isn’t it? I mean some people are living but not really living. So we need that someone to help us LIVE to enjoy life let yourself be loved and that is what Fletcher did for Savannah. He helped her LIVE. Some life events, they take a little from us each time (that’s my opinion) others give us something each time. When tragedy touches us, for some it is so devastating that you find it hard to breathe, to move, to even want to go further. Those times when we lose a loved one and we get angry because we feel like the world should be mourning with us and when they aren’t...it makes us mad, sometimes even bitter. Savannah had enough loss in her life, enough sadness that I wondered how she endured.

Then we have Fletcher equally saddened, equally traumatized and still they move on. Fletcher has touched my heart so deeply I honestly find myself thinking of him often. I feel like I need to tell you more about this amazing “character” Fletcher that I have fallen so deeply for, he not only is a survivor of tragedy himself but he is a GIVING man who gave his ALL and more to Savannah. He wanted nothing more than to see her happy and LIVING life to the fullest that she possibly could. He did, he did help her LIVE, put a spark back into her life hell he breathed life back into her. If only…..*sighs…….

This story between Fletcher and Savannah will ONE HUNDRED percent pull those heart strings tightly, it will make you mad, sad, happy, elated, down right giddy and go crazy over Fletcher. Then you will be pulled through something so devastating, it breaks your heart into a million little pieces scattered into the wind never to recover them. But I promise you that this story is a MUST read. I am so glad I read it, I will cherish this story forever! I have intentionally not posted my review immediately because I knew that I needed to absorb this story fully. I find myself sitting at my desk thinking of this story and I swear I fill up! If there is a book you are looking for with depth with love, family and life then this book is for you.

I am so grateful that friends recommended this amazing book to me. I am paying it forward to you. Ms.Dennis I am a fan! You were able to make me FEEL so much in this story, I am not sure if I have ever FELT that much from a book, thank you!

*Gifted for an honest review* 4 1/2 Stars

First things first...absolutely adore the cover, it's gorgeous! I always appreciate a subtle cover, one that's tasteful and one that has had a lot of thought put into it. Bit of a book cover junkie so I am. And you know the beautiful cover absolutely reflects how beautiful this book is. I loved the first chapter, it was so fresh and original, started with something very different. From that instant I knew in my head that this story was going to be a good read. The first few chapters are a hoot. Funny to read, a lot of witty banter between characters and some not so obvious flirting. They set the scene wonderfully for the rest of the book.
I think this is a book that is going to stay with the reader for a while, I know it will me. I had a moment in the book where I had to put it down and gather myself. Rhonda described a scene (well a few actually) with a particular character which I was going through at the time of reading and she hit every emotion right on the head. Nailed it, I dare say I would still have felt those emotions regardless but perhaps not quite as powerfully.
Honestly, this is an ugly cry in places. It was quite overwhelming at times and my heart ached for sure, and it gave me chills at times. The character depth is so well done that you feel like you are living some of their story. I do so love getting that far into characters and I do feel it makes a huge difference overall. Fletcher and Savannah are truly two people you will take into your heart. Some very serious subjects raised in this book and dealt with sympathetically, no matter how close to the bone they cut.
However, I did feel that it got a little lost somewhere along the way and further chapters were not as inspiring as the earlier part of the book. It bounced back again towards the last quarter though. Loose ends are tidied up at the end, there was no need for a long winded story about Savannah later. I really thought that the way this was done was clever. After all the story was about Savannah and Fletcher.
Yeah....highly recommended but please have your tissues handy :) Congrats on a gorgeous book Rhonda!

So good that I’m still crying…

I think this is the first time I’ve written a review while sobbing. It’s understandable since I spent a fair portion of the book’s ending crying my eyes out! I should have known when I started to read this that the author was going to take me on a journey. I laughed and cried off and on during the first chapters as I enjoyed watching Savannah and Fletcher find their way together. A chance encounter that seemed to be blessed with many signs found Savannah opening herself up to Fletcher in a way she hadn’t done for anyone in a very long time. She was young but had seen a lot of hurt and heartache in her life and she knew letting people into her world would open herself to even more. She was losing her grandfather and she couldn’t imagine losing anyone else. Fletcher was fighting his own demons as he struggled find his place back in the civilian world while battling debilitating PTSD. Reconciling the past would be the only way they could both more forward.

This book is one that I usually do everything to avoid. I love an emotional read but this one took me effortlessly through the highest of highs and lowest of lows. The characters were battling pain in so many different forms, trying their hardest to navigate the unthinkable and still stay strong. The author tapped into the emotions of the characters and shared them in a way that felt so intimate and close. I felt like I knew the characters and could feel their pain and their joy. Considering the emotional climax to the story the ending seemed a bit matter of fact though it did wrap up the storyline in a complete way. Definitely an author I will be looking forward to reading again.

Best book I have ever read. This is officially my #1 book now. This book is so well written, there is so much emotion put into words.
This is the best ugly cry I've ever had and not just while reading a book, I have never cried this hard in my life before... and I cry a lot. The book will not just make you cry, it had many moments when I was laughing out loud.
Characters:
Savannah is a very strong character. I absolutely loved her, she is a different character, her personality was not something that we see a lot in books.
You will fall in love with Fletcher right away, he is so perfect and funny and a gentleman and yet he has a big secret, one that I won't spoil for you, one that makes the story what it is.
Lizzy is a hoot and the perfect best friend.
Ben is Fletcher's best friend and I loved how the author worked him into the story, I won't spoil anything...
The story will pull you in right away, it is one of those that you will need to read in one sitting and one that after you read the first chapter you are hooked.
This book has destroyed me, I'm truly heartbroken. I cried for so long, once I started crying I didn't stopped till I read the last word and then I cried for 15 minutes after that, it is that sad. But so good, it was a good cry.
The story does have a HEA ending but not the one you expect. Was I happy that Savannah was happy? Yes, I was but I still wanted what I could not have in the story.
I wish I could give this book more that 5 stars.
To the author: I wish you get a publishing deal or something for this awesome book. It needs to be a best seller, it needs to be in the window of bookstores.
Everyone needs to read this book. I will recommend to all my book loving friends.

This book is an emotionally powerful one. It is a beautifully tragic story that caused me to ugly cry not once but 3 times with interspersed tears here and there. I have never read a book that could cause such a huge emotional response from me. Yes books have made me cry but none have made me completely lose it. This one did. It is written so well and the characters are too easy to love. I loved Fletcher probably the second page he was in the book lol. He was my hero and I wanted one. Savannah needed him and they were just what each other needed.

When I read a book and review I always keep a legal pad close to jot down notes, usually I fill up a page and a half. For Yours Always I was left so emotionally ruined and speechless I only had 3 things written: "Ugly cry" "tear jerker beware" and "slayed me". This is a huge compliment to Rhonda Dennis that she moved me so much I was unable to even write my usual notes, that I was so engrossed in her story that I couldn't take the time to put my thoughts on paper. This is the kind of book I love so much because I will keep thinking back on it and I will not ever forget it. Also it deals with a very sensitive subject of PTSD and our men and women in the military. This book needed to be written and people need to see, if they don't already, what our men and women go through when they come home. A lot of great writers write about PTSD and when I get their books I try to praise them loudly. If you hadn't read this powerful amazing book you really should. Have some chocolate handy along with a couple of boxes of tissue. It is worth it and I'm telling you you wont forget Yours always any time soon.

This book by far is the best book that I've ever read. I've never been touched so deeply by a book that I cried ugly tears during and yes afterwards. I don't want you to think that whole book is sad because it's not. There were times I was laughing out loud or had such a big smile on my face. That my family would stop and ask me what was going on. To me this was more then a romance novel it was about dealing with life and what it throws at you. About not letting your past ruin your future. It was about marriage and how at times it a lot of hard work but it's so worth it. It's about loving your spouse with all your heart because you never know when you could be saying your last goodbye or I love you. Finally,it's about what people go through that deal with PTSD, fear and anxiety. The story is so beautifully written that it will grab your attention from the very first page till the end of the book with a HEA that you won't expect. Fletcher, Savannah, Brad, Lizzy, Julie and Molly aren't just characters in a book they are real people that I won't soon forget. If you don't pick up and read another book you need to read this one because it's truly that great of a book. Rhonda deserves to be on the Best Seller List for this book. I could easily see this book turn into a great love movie. I've never read one of Rhonda Dennis books before but she has made a fan out of me and I look forward to reading more of her books.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I give this book 5 heart breaking stars. This book was an ugly cry for me. It deals with a lot of issues and makes you really wonder if people really do come into your life for a reason. Have your tissues ready for when you read this one.

This is the story of Savannah and Fletcher.

Savannah is just going through the motions in life, she has had a bad go of it, and thinks its okay to just be okay in life. She has only one living family member Grampy and he is dying. She has one friend Lizzy and that's it. She works long hours to help pay for her grampys care and then goes home. She gets a couple weird calls at work, one an older man who is confused on who he called and his wife gets on the phone and tells Savannah that marriage sucks but its not why you think. The next call a young man that is looking to see what his balance is, this call if from Fletcher. He feels a connection to Savannah just by the call and asks that she look him up on social media.

This book deals with death, PTSD and life in general.

I don't like spoilers so I am not going to post any. Read this book, you will not regret it!

This is going to be a short review as I seriously can't put into words how much I truly loved this story. I don't want to give you any spoilers. I didn't read the synopsis or any other reviews. I went in blind.

I'm going to apologise now for writing this review late. Why? Well I blame the author & my gut instinct. I sat & read this in an afternoon. I was gripped. My stomach was in bits with the anguish these characters were going through. Then at 80% I stopped reading. Not because I didn't have time but because I had this gut instinct that the author was going to break my heart. So the next day I grabbed my kindle & a coffee and continued. I'm now sitting here after reading The End and thinking yes my gut was right. Big tears rolling down my face is proof.

This is one of my favourite books this year ( I know it's only feb but I've read loads already). This will certainly be kept on my kindle for a re-read. Now I'm off to stalk the author & message my book buddy that she needs to 1-click.... Yep it's that good!!

Whoa! This book will make you feel, oh my word! I will be honest, this is a book that was getting a lot of good buzz from blogs so I added to my TBR and only briefly read the description and thought it sounded like my kind of book. I really had no clue what I was getting into and I think it made the journey even better. I already shed my first tear at 2% into the book and on the same page I am smiling and thinking this is going to be a good book.

Pain can be crippling, our past can weigh us down, life can hurt....Love can help you heal, friendship can be your lifeline...but at the end of the day is it enough?

I really enjoyed this story and the characters. This is a beautifully written story that is relevant. I don't want to spoil anything so I will keep it simple - I am so glad I read this book. I am so glad I took this journey. Well done Rhonda Dennis, I will surely look for more of your work.

How do you begin to write a review about a story that has had you so emotional the last three days that even thinking about the characters makes you tear up. Well that’s what Yours Always has done to me. As I sit here & think about Fletcher & Savannah's story I fall in love with them over again. I love them both equally and as I read about them there were times I wanted to be a part of their journey. Their story is one I will soon not forget.

Savannah lives a simple life & that's the way she likes it. She has had her heart broken more times than she wants to remember and if she's alone the rest of her life then that’s what she deserves in her mind. She goes to work and answers phones all day & comes home. She has few friends well really just one Lizzy. They became friends because of Lizzy's persistence. Then the day comes when Fletcher calls and it's the beginning of a beautiful love story. But will Savannah let him in to help her begin to heal

Fletcher what more can be said about a war veteran besides the fact that he's handsome & the sweetest man you will ever meet. But Fletcher also has a past he's trying to keep at bay. He suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. On a day that he is ready to give up he makes a simple phone call. That call starts a change when he hears her voice.

As Fletcher & Savannah's story continues they begin to let the walls down to help each other heal. But the more Fletcher helps Savannah realize that she needs to live life to the fullest. His demons begin to surface and he's having a hard time keeping them at bay. Will their love for each other be able to conquer the demons that are hell bent on destroying them?

Like I said in the beginning this Story has been an emotional roller coaster for me. I've laughed, had my aww sha moments and I've most definitely cried, cried & cried. There is so much more I could say about this book but I would give the whole thing away. Fletcher & Savannah will be two characters that I will love forever. Rhonda Dennis your books have always caught my attention from the beginning and even though this Story is still breaking my heart I loved it. You never disappoint & as always I look forward to reading more from you!

This book came to me highly recommended too. When I started this book I was drawn in by Savannah and Fletcher. There were times of laughter, a little sadness as life changes and Savannah learns to live again with Fletcher's help. As Fletcher deals with his demons, Savannah tries to be there for him to bring him out of the darkness.
One part in this book I cried so hard I needed multiple tissues and I couldn't see to read. This book is a story of coping with life's bad parts and overcoming them for the good parts to come. Have plenty of tissues handy if you read this book.
