About the author

British author and former director of investigations with the British UFO Research Association (BUFORA), serving in that role from 1982 through to 1994.

Randles specializes in writing books on UFOs and paranormal phenomena. To date 50 of these have been published, ranging from her first UFOs: A British Viewpoint (1979) to Breaking the Time Barrier: The race to build the first time machine (2005). Subjects covered include crop circles, ESP, life after death, time anomalies and spontaneous human combustion.

This book is the best book on the MIB phenomenon I've read to date, Jenny Randles has gone above and beyond in presenting an array of cases from all over the world and not just in the United States. Very well written and very well laid out formula to keep you page turning to better understand this clearly very real phenomenon. Randles has obviously done her research and has taken her time in compiling the most comprehensive MIB book out there today. Pick this up if your curious about the other side of the UFO phenomenon it's an excellent page turner of a book and will most certainly have you looking over your shoulder for the man in the fedora.🕵

Jenny Randles has always been one of the best writers to grace the pages of Fortean Times magazine, a beacon of rationality yet possessed of an imagination that can shine a light into the darkest corners of UFO lore and resolve decades-old mysteries.

In this forgotten gem from 1997, Randles takes a look at a subject so wacky that it positively resists proper investigation, and goes a long way to answering why that might be. This is a fascinating read for anyone interested in UFO lore, and for casual readers who enjoy the more exotic end of Forteana. It’s tempting to use the currently fashionable term “high strangeness”, but it might not be entirely appropriate here (for reasons that will become apparent).

And remember - what you think you saw, you did not see!

I thought that the MIB phenomena was the most embarrassment of the whole UFO lore, I changed my mind after reading this book from Jenny Randles,where she collected significant reports with examples of diverse variants, which keep repeating themselves. .The event seems to be all around consistent with the weirdness and theatrical apparitions of aliens. It does reinforce the element of charade of a very bizarre event. Why the MIB appear? They do not seem to prevent people from talking about UFOs, they actually make the point that these events are important and should not be missed, but they definitely give a scary edge to it, making as remember that the UFO phenomena is not all flowers. Not at all.
