Being Grateful, Being Thankful
Gratitude is all around us and being verbally thankful and aware changes our lives tremendously for the better. Too often people complain about the little things or are silent when those little things don't cause problems. Be Grateful: Appreciate Everything to Be Happy is an easy to read collection of aspects of your life important for you to consider and think about in a new light. With the Law of Attraction being so evident in the world and people continuously reading all the motivational books, it's easy to forget the true essence of this law and our own lives. Be Grateful: Appreciate Everything to Be Happy brings that back, shifting your perspective so more good will appear in your life as you deserve. Happy reading and living!

We take so much for granted - water, light, heat, friends & family, homes, finances, transport and more.
But do we ever consider life without these? A power outage, a burst water pipe, no internet service - any of these things brings the realization that when it works we don't give them a second thought. Then we are uncomfortable, sad and sometimes frustrated.
This unique book puts us into a mind set to be thankful for our world, our life, our luxuries. We are blessed and giving thanks is a way to give back to the universe.

I received this book through Goodreads First reads program and am not being reimbursed to provide this review.
I purposely took a while to read this book because I think that's the way it was meant to be read. It's a small book of reminders, basically, that we should stop and be both mindful and thankful for the things we have in our lives. Some of the things the author reminds the reader are seem basic but others are things that we don't much think of. For example, we might feel ourselves getting angry at car trouble but think of how much service our car gives us, on average, with no problems. We're reminded of the freedom it gives us to move about as we so choose and to focus less on what could go wrong.
Again, while it certainly had the feel of a self-published, self/friend-funded project, it was worth the short read to be reminded of some of the things we take for granted on an everyday basis.

A way to dissipate negativity in these challenging times, this little book can be read in part of an evening and mentions The Secret, which purports to attract positive outcomes to positive thoughts. Notwithstanding, the author gives us a refreshing little break in our busy lives by engaging us in gratitude for the simple things of life.
We all could think of more, I'm sure, and they don't all apply to everyone but an Attitude of Gratitude can bring pleasure to almost anyone, and the author reminds us of this in a very nice way.

This is a great little resource for helping anyone to appreciate the little things in life. I like how it concentrates on things most of us take for granted (running water, technology, driving, reading, writing, etc.) I have always liked to read stories about people in the past (or even the present) who have very little because it shows how very blessed most of us are in today's world. This book is the attitude adjustment that many of us need whenever we start to get too caught up in our "first world problems".
