Soon she finds herself questioning Brianna's last text while pulling on unraveling threads. When bodies turn up and a shocking clue is unearthed, and missing teens' cases pile up on her desk, Emma must confront demons she never intended to face, dismantling a gruesome network with everything she has.
To destroy this evil once and for all, she must follow every trail and take down even its shadows. To save the innocent, Emma Griffin will show these monsters exactly what she's made of.
This was really good! I felt like I couldn't put it down. it was not what I expected at all. I think part of the reason I liked it so much was that we get to see all of them, which, I really like. Sam is at home but everyone else ends up where Emma is, and actually participates in the case. It also gave me a few glimpses of what I like about Emma, her ability to sum up what has happened.
She quickly solves the latest missing girl, Destiny, discovering she is not part of the case she is there to investigate. She not only knows the person she's questioning is lying, but quickly understands what in fact really happened. she also realizes a few other people, like the missing girl's father and bar owner, are setting off red flags.
I loved seeing Owen and meeting his girlfriend Jenna, Dean, Xavier and Cupcake actively take part in Emma's investigation. as expected, readers are left with a preview of what is to come. Hopefully, there is more of the whole group!
I had sat waiting for this to be released. I love this series. Big fan of the others too but the Emma character is always going to be the best. I believe I have read them all now. So I guess I am simply forced to wait. I still had a few questions about this story but I think it’s on me. It’s okay though. If you haven’t read A.J Rivers’ books then what are you even doing?
The Girl Who Disappeared (Emma Griffin FBI Mystery Book 36)
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! This book was amazing and kind of scary. Emma gets so extremely strange cases and this was one of them. She started out looking for a missing 18 year old woman, and finds many missing people. It takes a lot of work but she finds the answers. It makes me worry about sending my 16 year old to college when he graduates from high-school. I can't wait to read the next book.
Did I miss a chapter? Was the girl found on the road ( she preferred to be called Doe instead of Jane Doe ) in the pouring down rain in the first chapter identified? She had amnesia, and old scars and wounds when found. Halfway through the book, Emma stopped visiting her, and was never mentioned again. Ugh!
As always the first page gets your imagination going. What is this story about, then you find out and your hooked to the end till you fi d out. AJ Rivers is a genius and her character Emma Griffin never let's you down. Once again A J Rivers doesn't let you down. Kudos to you!!
Emma is back for a new season, and this one is so good! When a young woman goes missing, Emma is called in to assist. The more clues she looks for, the more people she notices have gone missing. Where did they go? Who's behind these disappearances? It's gonna take Emma and her entire found-family to crack this case.
Everything you look for in a thriller is in this book. But I suggest you start with book one to get the experience. This is a story to pick up and not want to put down till the end. Full of drama, intrigue, excitement and intense scenarios. The characters are ones you could see yourself hanging out with, good people with quirks and lots of love.
Excellent book, A.J. Price never disappoints me. It was great to touch base with old friends, Emma, Dean X, and cupcake. Exciting from the beginning to the end.
As always, Emma shines! This is a great storyline...curious and also scary. Young people are just disappearing. Lots of surprises and some twists. I really enjoyed it and I know you will too.
This book was very well written and flowed easily. Sometimes, it seems there are missing pieces or even extra parts to these stories but, not with this book. I wish it had been longer!
This was a great story about Emma involved in another case where her thinking expertise finds out what is happening and finding out who is responsible with lots of suspense and action. Thank you for this awesome story.
I’m wondering what happened to Doe, the girl found at the beginning of the book? The rest of the book was good as always with this series. I would rate it higher but I don’t like that the story of Doe was left unfinished.
Another great story by A.J. Rivers. I also go in thinking I can solve it, but then a twist or turn happens. Love seeing the end as much as getting there.
College age students going missing and some dead, over a period of 8 years. Most with the same thing nightclub in their past. Emma Griffin and her assorted friends have a tough road ahead of them!
Yeah! Emma is back! And what a case she has, with all the twists and turns. Have to disagree with Noah, Emma was not too aggressive, but dean sure was.
The last "season" of 7 books in this series ended with a bang. So now it's time to light the fuse on a new story arc. If this first installment is any indication, it's going to be just as good. That's why I'm hooked on this series.
