I’ve been rooting for Shar from the very beginning!
Wow! This was such an emotional read. I laughed, I cried, I gasped. I felt all the things and I didn’t expect any of the things I read. Twists at every turn! In the best way of course. The pages kept turning because I was in suspense mode wanting to see what happened. I read this book in a weekend. Couldn’t put it down. This author will take you on a ride. First of all Shar and Donte are still trying to figure it all out. And it’s understandable, they’re young and they love each other and young love can be so complicated. I loved their sweet moments together. I also love the care Donte takes with Shar. Also, Donte is severely protective and Shar is fiercely loyal to herself, her feelings and even her emerging independence as a young woman. I look forward to seeing what they become. This book was much different than the first one as we had a closer look at Shar’s story and a pivotal moment in her life. The supporting characters came through as usual, shining on their own with their own stories to follow. I’m so invested I cannot wait for the next one! Read this, you’ll absolutely enjoy it!!

Part II was exactly what I needed! I was so glad to see the updates from each of the characters because by the end of book 1, I had a few favorites and then a few characters that I was giving the side eye hahaha! The author gave us just enough to want to keep reading at just the right time and this story was written with a great pace. Twists and turns for sure. We get to know Shar more as she continues to let us in. I appreciated that because she’s overcome a lot and she’s been through a lot and you really start to root for her in book 1. Not only as a young woman but as a young woman in love with a guy who cares so deeply for her. I enjoyed this book and you certainly will too! Read it in a few days and I was so juiced to read part 3 by the time I was finished.
